As they follow their leads, suspicion falls on a troubled young man called Bjørn Jepsen (Alex Høgh Andersen), who goes to ground, which makes him look even more guilty. Oh, hi Bjørn. What are you doing with that axe? As the manhunt for Bjørn continues, more blood is shed and the challenge for Louise becomes to understand Bjørn’s troubled mind, while the challenge for Frederik becomes to catch him before anyone else dies.

  1. But is Bjørn the culprit, or is he also a victim here? You’ll have to watch to discover the truth.
  2. Lost: Those Who Kill aired in Denmark earlier this year as the third series of Den Som Dræber – Fanget af mørket (Those Who Kill – Captured by the Darkness), following on from Darkness: Those Who Kill (2019) and Blinded: Those Who Kill (2021).

The programme is actually a reboot of the 2011 series Those Who Kill, which had a similar set-up but featured cases that were more procedural and shorter in extent. In the United States, Fox TV has created an American version of Those Who Kill set in Pittsburgh.

The series really benefits from two things. Firstly, the acting of Natalie Madueño as the criminal psychologist who, in the pursuit of justice, often get too close to the cases she’s investigating and becomes a potential target for the killers. She was also excellent in the Danish financial crime series Follow the Money.

The second aspect of Those Who Kill that you might enjoy, aside from the twisty cases they investigate, is the moody atmosphere the cinematographers conjure. Series so far have been a little slow moving, but the sense of isolation and darkness, plus the threat of sudden violence, will keep you watching expectantly. Frederik was never one to go wading in.

Prev Next In other words, we’re back to The Killing we all knew and hated – just one with a different (and somewhat more intriguing) mystery at its center. Full Review | Original Score: C+ | Feb 19, 2020 If this is the end, the series has gone on out on a high. Full Review | Sep 24, 2018 I have to admit, I’m into it. Whether or not The Killing is picked up for season 4, we just watched a detective (and her partner) evolve over the course of three seasons, with all the real-life horror she faces every day taking her down this path. Full Review | Jun 12, 2018 Several episodes in season three stood out as groundbreaking, emotionally-charged and gritty, and a huge improvement over an intermittently decent second season. Full Review | Original Score: 7/10 | Sep 23, 2013 It was an interesting set-up for the new season, and it’s promising so far. Full Review | Original Score: 7.5/10 | Jun 3, 2013 It’s well-done routine with three excellent actors at its core but it’s routine nonetheless. Full Review | Original Score: 3.5/5 | Jun 3, 2013 Even with a new case and several new characters, it felt like much the same show that has frustrated more than a few viewers the past two years. Full Review | Jun 3, 2013 One of the most crucial things the new season gets right is its subplots. Full Review | Jun 2, 2013 I’m hooked again and wonderfully enough, viewers who may have never seen the past two seasons can easily jump right into the game. Full Review | Original Score: 4.7/5 | Jun 2, 2013 Maybe The Killing will hit a firmer stride before crossing this season’s finish line. But the feeling persists that executive producer/writer/director Veena Sud again will come up short in what looks to be a last gasp. Full Review | Original Score: C+ | Jun 2, 2013 The show continues to be both visually entrancing and rich in mood, but when Jewel Staite turns up for a couple of minutes of screen time as Holder’s new girlfriend, it’s like the clouds finally parting after a week of rain. Full Review | Original Score: A- | Jun 2, 2013 It’s effective, finely realized genre work from a notoriously dark and idiosyncratic director and it speaks directly to the show’s reenergized interest in exuding its own distinct personality. Full Review | Original Score: 3/4 | Jun 2, 2013 Welcome back, folks. Things are looking as gloomy, somber and overcast as ever. Full Review | Jun 1, 2013 The Killing should have stayed canceled if all it was going to do was prove, emphatically this time, that it was a network procedural masquerading as a highbrow cable drama. Full Review | May 31, 2013 So, no, The Killing wasn’t canceled. Unfortunately, it’s still dark, depressing and terminally dull. Full Review | Original Score: 2/4 | May 31, 2013 The Killing is back, and if you loved the first round, it’s still a killer. Full Review | Original Score: 4/5 | May 31, 2013 Everything fans loved about it the first season is back. Full Review | Original Score: B+ | May 31, 2013 A year after the Rosie Larsen case ended, this new chapter is compelling enough to earn some fan forgiveness. Full Review | May 31, 2013 Nothing about it – not the acting, not the writing, not even the great Ed Bianchi’s direction of one-half of the season-three pilot – justifies such self-importance. Full Review | May 31, 2013 So far, so great. But if they don’t solve the crime this season, I think we’ll all be ready for the kill. Is it worth watching The Order series

Answered By: Kyle Reed Date: created: Jan 23 2024

I was hesitant at first to watch this as there wasn’t too many good reviews about the show but it was definitely a really awesome series to watch. For younger viewers it can be to gory at times but if your child is okay with seeing some gore and light kissing then it is a great show for them to watch.
