What is liar card game?
Liar is one of my favourite card games. It requires you to create a strategy so that no one can tell if you are telling the truth and you are putting the right card or cards on the table. It is also important not only to be able to hide the truth, but also to know when someone else is trying to deceive you.
What is the card game where no one talks?
Speaking – Many of the rules of Mao involve speech. Mostly this means that the right thing must be said at the right time. Saying the wrong thing, or speaking at the wrong time, will usually incur a penalty. No talking In most variants of Mao, no unnecessary speech is allowed, and one may only speak when required to do so by the rules.
For example, if one plays a 6 of spades (with the declaring spades rule active), one is required to say “six of spades” and will be penalized for not doing so. But if one says, “six of spades, I didn’t forget this time” one will be penalized for the additional unnecessary speech. A different but common way to say this is “excessive verbosity”.
Point of order Any player (or, in some variations, only the dealer) may at any time announce “point of order”, which is a signal for all players to put down their cards while discussion takes place. Thank you It may be required to thank the dealer for each penalty card.
- Usually a player is given a reasonable amount of time to say “thank you” before being penalized.
- Failure to say “thank you” after a penalty card will usually result in another penalty card.
- One “thank you” will usually cover for all occurrences where it was required.
- Last card Some variants require the player to announce when they have only one card left in their hand.
This can be with the statement of “last card”, “zin”, “one card left” or “Mao” itself (similar to Uno). If a player fails to announce their last card, they receive a penalty card. In some versions, they continue to receive penalty cards until they announce their last card.
- At this point, because it is not their last card anymore, they are given three additional penalty cards in quick succession for “lying, cheating, grand theft auto”.
- End game Upon playing their last card, a player must call out “Mao”, “game over” or some other similar phrase to win.
- Should a player forget to say “Mao”, or call it incorrectly, they are penalized.
Stacking penalties at this point can cause much grief to a player who has gleefully placed their last card down and proclaimed “Mao”, only to discover that they have broken some rule. Swearing Many variants prohibit swearing, whereas other variants consider swearing to be an exception to the prohibition on excessive verbosity.
“Hail to the chairman” In some variants, playing a king requires the player to say “hail to the chairman” (alluding to Chairman Mao ) or “all hail the chief”, and playing a queen requires the player to say “hail to the chairwoman”, “hail the chairman’s wife”, “all hail the chair lady”, or “all hail her Mighty Majesty the Queen of Spades”.
Then the other players are sometimes required to say “all hail”. “Have a nice day” Some versions of the game will require a player to tell the next player ” have a nice day ” upon playing a seven. For instance, if the next person was John, the player would say “have a nice day John”.

Why was episode 18 banned
Controversy – The infamous scene cut from the English dub Of the five banned episodes that have aired on Japanese television, this is the first one that was banned in all countries outside of Asia. The reason why the episode is “banned” is because there is a scene halfway in where James cross-dresses and wears inflatable breasts for a beauty contest.
Although intended for comic effect, the nature of the scene caused so much controversy that the whole episode was banned for almost three years, until it was aired as a heavily cut version that was only 18 minutes long. This edited version was titled “The Lost Episode” when it aired in 2000. The ending of this episode was shown as a flashback in the English dub of Hypno’s Naptime, indicating that they had access to the raw of this episode while dubbing the first season.
The English dub’s only rerun was also advertised as a special presentation, being promoted as “The Return of the Lost Episode.” According to Diana Pérez, the voice actress for Jessie in Latin America, this episode was dubbed into Latin American Spanish.
She additionally commented that when dubbing anime, the dub staff usually receives the uncensored versions instead of the already-cut 4Kids -edited version. This could mean that the episode was translated by Western dubbers, since these are all based on the US version, but it was still never aired for those regions.
Of all banned episodes, this is the only one that was intended to be skipped completely by 4Kids, and ironically, was the only one that eventually made it to the air. It is also the episode which has the longest time between its original Japanese airing and its first English dub airing, at nearly three years.

Family Guy is an American animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company, The series premiered on January 31, 1999, following Super Bowl XXXIII, with the rest of the first season airing two months later, beginning on April 11, 1999.
The show centers around the Griffins, a dysfunctional family consisting of parents Peter and Lois, their children, Meg, Chris, and Stewie, and their anthropomorphic pet dog, Brian, Set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, the show exhibits much of its humor in the form of metafictional cutaway gags that often lampoon American culture,
The family was conceived by MacFarlane after he developed two animated films, The Life of Larry and Larry & Steve, MacFarlane redesigned the films’ protagonist, Larry, and his dog, Steve, and renamed them Peter and Brian, respectively. MacFarlane pitched a seven-minute pilot to Fox in December 1998, and the show was greenlit and began production.
Family Guy ‘s cancellation was announced shortly after the third season had aired in 2002, with one unaired episode eventually premiering on Adult Swim in 2003, finishing the series’ original run. Favorable DVD sales and high ratings from syndicated reruns since then convinced Fox to revive the show in 2004; a fourth season began airing the following year, on May 1, 2005.
Since its premiere, Family Guy has received generally positive reviews. In 2009, it was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, the first time an animated series had been nominated for the award since The Flintstones in 1961.
- In 2013, TV Guide ranked Family Guy as the ninth-greatest TV cartoon.
- Although highly satirical in nature, the series has also garnered considerable amounts of criticism and controversy, ranging from storylines and character stereotypes, to allegations of racism, homophobia, and sexism.
- Many tie-in media based on the show have been released, including Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, a straight-to-DVD special released in 2005; Family Guy: Live in Vegas, a soundtrack-DVD combo released in 2005, featuring music from the show as well as music created by MacFarlane and Walter Murphy ; a video game and pinball machine, released in 2006 and 2007, respectively; since 2005, six books published by Harper Adult ; and Laugh It Up, Fuzzball: The Family Guy Trilogy (2010), a collection of three episodes parodying the original Star Wars trilogy,
A spin-off series, The Cleveland Show, featuring Cleveland Brown, aired from September 27, 2009, to May 19, 2013. On January 26, 2023, Fox announced that the series had been renewed for seasons 22 and 23, taking the show through the 2024–25 television season.
Did Family Guy end
Family Guy’s Success After Cancelation Is Historic – When Family Guy was canceled, it had extremely low ratings, but when the show returned, it became one of the most popular series on TV. There are 21 seasons of Family Guy, and the show has been renewed for season 22 and 23. No other series has become so successful after being canceled.
- Futurama has been canceled and renewed a few times, including Futurama season 8 on Hulu a decade after the season 7 finale, which is a feat in itself.
- However, Futurama never became anywhere near as popular as Family Guy following any one of its renewals.
- Other cult hit comedy series like Arrested Development and Community were brought back after being canceled too, but they also didn’t come reach Family Guy levels of popularity, and they took a drop in quality.
While Community might be getting a movie, none of those series lasted anywhere near as long as Family Guy, Other canceled shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Expanse, and Lucifer, were all lucky enough to get renewed, but the success of Family Guy following its cancelation will likely never be rivaled.

Who is king of phones
Samsung Is The New King Of Mobile | TechCrunch Sammy is now the big kahuna of cell phones. Today’s and reports indicated that Samsung kicked Apple from the top spot in regards to smartphones. IDC also today indicating the same thing while noting that Samsung kicked Nokia from the top of total phone shipments.
This comes just days after another analyst firm as reigning king. Samsung happened to be at the right place at the right time — but only because the company positioned itself properly. Five years ago, was the world’s dominant cell phone maker. It held a commanding slice of the pie. Profits were soaring on the wings of cheap devices.
RIM was nearly as dominant in its smartphone arena. It was hip to have a crackberry addiction. Then things began to change. Now, five years later, both companies are in nearly equally precarious positions, priming the companies for utter failure or rise-from-the-ashes success.
While Nokia and RIM fell from grace, Samsung and Apple rose to the top. Apple had the benefit of being new to the space. Samsung had the tougher task of retooling its existing line to keep pace with new devices from Apple and HTC. But now, after just a few quarters of neck-to-neck racing, Samsung overtook Apple to become the largest smartphone vendor and overtook Nokia to be the largest vendor overall.
Samsung had a blockbuster first part of the year. It shipped a whopping 42 million smartphones, and per IDC’s research is the only Android vendor on an upswing. The rest of the players are seeing a steady decline in shipments. Samsung’s Galaxy line of smartphones are Android’s only bright spot right now.
RIM is also on the decline. The once-king of smartphones dropped more market share during the first part of 2012 and only accounted for 6.8% of the smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2012. However, while I still believe RIM can turn things around, the Canadian-based company is in a very tough spot after failing to innovate fast enough to compete with iOS and Android.
is a great start. Nokia and RIM’s decline was caused by, The two companies rested on their respective successes. Failure to innovate and sell existing supporters on changes is a recipe for disaster. Instead of following the market toward high-end devices, both companies dove headfirst toward the low-end, leading the race downmarket.
- Samsung went the other way.
- The Korean company followed Apple upmarket.
- In fact, they may have followed a bit too closely.
- Remember the over the striking similarities between Galaxy smartphones and Apple’s iPhone? The first line of Galaxy S smartphones were haphazard at best, but they set the stage for the fantastic Galaxy S II line.
Now, as Samsung is the new king of mobile, the third generation is set to launch within the coming weeks. Samsung is succeeding because it kept moving. The mobile phone wars are far from over. Apple and Samsung will continue to fight it out. The Samsung Galaxy S III will launch this month but the iPhone 5 (or whatever it’s to be called) is coming soon as well.
