Why are Zara and Daniel leaving Doctors
Zara contemplates what’s ahead (Picture: BBC) This week in Doctors, Zara (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) has a serious rethink about her life and career. To begin with, she decides to drop in on Karen (Jan Pearson) who is still recovering after her recent heart attack.
The two women have not always got on well together in the past and inevitably things are a little bit awkward. The meeting ultimately goes well, however. Karen admits to being very frightened by the whole experience but reassures her that she is on the mend and will be back at work soon. Zara admits she is re-evaluating her own priorities.
Later, Zara shares her feelings with Daniel (Matthew Chambers) who is, of course, her partner in both business and in life. Zara argues they spend too much time at work. She suggests they sell their partnerships completely and give up on the Mill. Daniel is at first shocked by such bold talk although later seems to warm to the idea. More exits? (Picture: BBC) Both Emma (Dido Miles) and Al (Ian Midlane) both get wind something is up and are annoyed at being kept out of the loop. Eventually Zara and DANIEL tell Bear (Dex Lee) who insists they announce their big news to all the staff. Can The Mill survive in a world without Daniel and Zara?
