Who came 2nd 3rd and 4th on Strictly

Answered By: Nathaniel Scott Date: created: Sep 15 2024

Strictly Come Dancing has ended for another year and it has a new pair of champions – Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal, who won after a score setback saw them finish bottom of the leaderboard in the final. It’s been on television for 18 years now and the new series of Strictly has once again been pulling in viewers every single weekend, as celebs like Kaye Adams, Tyler West, Tony Adams and Ellie Simmonds competed for ballroom glory.

  • All of those stars and the other celebs who’ve taken to the floor this year, were back in the studio on Saturday night for the final, as Hamza, Helen, Fleur and Molly battled it out for the Glitterball trophy.
  • After an attention grabbing opening number, all four remaining couples opened their accounts with their judges’ choice dances, before moving onto their highly anticipated Show Dances, with Hamza being dealt a blow when his score took a dip, following a number of errors which were picked up on by the judges.

There weren’t too many perfect scores on the night, with Fleur getting the first for her samba, before also getting 40 for her Couple’s Choice, a score matched by both Hamza and Helen as their Couple’s Choices also served them well. It was Fleur and Vito who topped the leaderboard, with a near perfect score of 119 out of a possible 120, with Helen and Gorka second on 116, Molly and Carlos in third on 115 and Hamza and Jowita fourth on 113.

Unlike every other week, the judges scores actually counted for nothing, with the winners being determined entirely by public vote and both Hamza and Jowita were very emotional as they were announced as champions. *Helen Skelton leaves Strictly judges with ‘concern’ in semi final *Strictly’s Vito Coppola tells Fleur East she ‘saved’ him after tough time *Strictly fans call for ‘rule change’ as final dances confirmed *Strictly results show group performance axed by bosses in aftermath of Solihull tragedy *Strictly final prompts ‘tactical’ Channel 5 move to attract fans Story Saved You can find this story in My Bookmarks.

Who is paired up on Strictly Come Dancing 2022?

Hamza Yassin & Jowita Przystal – Wildlife presenter Hamza has set himself a beastly challenge for Strictly 2022 – to get a 10 from Craig! Pro dancer Jowita – in her first competitive series after joining the Strictly dance team in 2021 – thinks such confidence will go a long way.

Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal lifted the Glitterball last year – but were there any romances on the dancefloor? (Picture: Guy Levy/PA) Most fans of Strictly Come Dancing will be familiar with the ‘Strictly curse’, Referring to the apparent demise of a number of celebrity relationships around the time of appearing on the show, the alleged ‘curse’ often grabs our attention and makes the headlines,

But a fair number of happy love stories have also formed as a result of the show, too. And though it may have gone slightly under the radar, last year’s series – which aired from September to December 2022 – is no exception. So, who got together from Strictly 2022? And has their romance stood the test of time so far? Here’s all you need to know.

Yep, one couple – celebrity contestants Molly Rainford, 22, and Tyler West, 27. Tyler West and Molly Rainford, seen in June this year (Picture: Stuart C. Wilson/Getty Images) EastEnders star Molly, who plays Anna Knight on the soap, apparently formed a connection with radio DJ Tyler while they both starred in the 2022 series of the dance show.

  1. At the time, Molly was dancing her way to the final with pro partner Carlos Gu, and Tyler featured in several episodes with pro Dianne Buswell.
  2. The series drew to a close at the end of 2022 – with Hamza Yassin ultimately winning the Glitterball Trophy – but rumours began to swirl that a romance had blossomed in early 2023 during the Strictly live tour.

Molly and Tyler then confirmed their relationship on TikTok in March 2023, Speaking to Fabulous magazine in June 2023, Molly shared how the pair got together, Molly (right) now stars in EastEnders as Anna Knight (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) Tyler is a radio DJ for KISS, and often appears on ITV daytime show Lorraine (Picture: Ken McKay/ITV/Shutterstock) She explained: ‘I suppose it developed towards the end of the tour because we’d spent so much time together and we were really good friends.

  • The tour was so much fun.
  • We were just doing everything together and it just progressed from there really.
  • He was like: ‘Do you think when we get back, we could go on a date?” and I was like: “Yeah, alright!” I was totally up for it.’ Molly also shared that the couple had tried to keep things professional during the BBC show’s filming – but added that ‘everyone on Strictly was so excited for us.

They kind of wanted it to happen’ And it seems that, several months on, Molly and Tyler’s relationship is still going strong. The happy couple recently shared Instagram snaps from their first holiday as an item – to Jamaica. Tyler also told the Evening Standard that he loved picking up his girlfriend from the EastEnders set – and was quick to praise her performance in the fairly new role as Anna.

He shared: ‘EastEnders is something that me and my family have always watched, like, my whole family as well, my nana, everybody, so for it to become such a real thing for me is mad! ‘To go behind the scenes and to pick her up from work, I get starstruck every day!’ ‘Sometimes I help her with her lines, but I don’t know anything that’s going on She’s amazing at what she does and in all honesty, even though I talk for a living, I don’t know how she does what she does she is on another level with it.’ Of course, Molly and Tyler aren’t the only Strictly couple ever to make it beyond the show.

EastEnders star Maisie Smith, 22, and The Wanted singer Max George, 34, were both on 2020’s series of Strictly, with their romance making plenty of headlines when it began in 2022. They’re still together today,2018 winners Stacey Dooley, 36, and Kevin Clifton, 40, got together shortly after their series in 2019, and have been together since, welcoming daughter Minnie in January 2023.

Countdown’s Rachel Riley, 37 and pro Pasha Kovalev, 43, danced together in the 2013 series. After tying the knot in 2019, the couple welcomed daughters Maven and Noa. Other Strictly couples still going strong include dancer Dianne Buswell, 34, and her YouTuber partner Joe Sugg, 31, and ex-Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, 38, and dancer Gorka Marquez, 33.
