Is Drax Dead In Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Answered By: Colin Clark Date: created: Jun 12 2023

Is there a Drax death scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3? – Fortunately, Drax does not die in the third and final Guardians movie. There was a lot of speculation that he would die after Dave Bautista confirmed that this would be his final outing as Drax. In a profile with GQ, Bautista said, “I’m so grateful for Drax.

I love him. But there’s a relief, It wasn’t all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy—it’s a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff.” In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, Drax brings even more of the laughs you would expect from his character.

He works with the Guardians in their adventure, where he messes things up at first, to the annoyance of Nebula ( Karen Gillan ). However, Drax soon leads a group of children to safety, making them laugh in a time of need. He stays behind to help raise the kids, getting to be a father again for the first time since his daughter died at the hands of Ronan the Accuser.

How does Guardians of Galaxy 3 end?

Rocket Is Not the Only One Who Needs Saving – Image via Marvel When the Guardians get to Counter-Earth, they split up. Mantis ( Pom Klementieff ) and Drax ( Dave Bautista ) are charged with staying on the ship to protect Rocket. Meanwhile, Nebula, Star-Lord, and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel ) go to the High Evolutionary’s headquarters.

  1. Unfortunately, Nebula has to wait outside since the High Evolutionary doesn’t allow her to come in due to her cybernetic implanted weapons.
  2. In addition, Drax decides to ignore Quill and takes Mantis to the High Evolutionary base.
  3. Star-Lord and Groot confront the High Evolutionary, who reveals he’s done with Counter-Earth as this civilization proved imperfect.

Peter and Groot blast their way out of the High Evolutionary tower just as the villain decides to leave the world he created behind, destroying everything and killing the billions of people that inhabit Counter-Earth. Fortunately, Peter and Groot take the key to save Rocket with them.

Meanwhile, due to their lack of organization, Gamora is alone on the ship when the High Evolutionary sends War Pig (voiced by Judy Greer ) to kidnap Rocket on the ship. Adam also comes after the same prize, killing War Pig. Gamora is saved from Adam’s wrath due to the planetary explosion because the Warlock abandons the Guardians ship to try to save his mother.

Adam doesn’t get to the Sovereign vessel in time, and the High Priestess dies. Finally, Mantis and Drax meet Nebula at the bottom of the High Evolutionary base, breaking into the spaceship to save Peter and Groot, who they believe is still inside. Star-Lord and Groot reunite with Gamora, using the key they retrieve to bypass Rocket’s fail-safe and heal their friend.

  • For a moment, it looks like Rocket is gone as he visits the afterlife and talks with his former cellmates, who were tortured and killed by the High Evolutionary.
  • However, after Rocket’s first love, Lylla (voiced by Linda Cardellini ), tells him his time has not yet come, Rocket returns to life.
  • In the meantime, Drax, Mantis, and Nebula find hundreds of children trapped inside the High Evolutionary’s ship.

These children represent the new species created by the villain, but it’s clear they also need saving before they are slaughtered as the population of Counter-Earth. To make matters worse, the High Evolutionary captures Drax, Mantis and Nebula, using them as bait for Rocket and the rest of the Guardians.

Will there be a Guardians 4?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.4 Release Date Rumors The potential release date for has been on the minds of Marvel fans ever since the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, which featured Rocket’s origin story and saw the rag-tag team race against time to save his life after Rocket is nearly killed by Adam Warlock.

Here’s all the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.4 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.4 does not have an official release date. This is because James Gunn revealed via Twitter on May 15, 2023, that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.4 has no real chance of happening.

Moreover, Gunn stated that while another Guardians of the Galaxy film could be made in the future, it would not feature the same cast from the previous three Guardians of the Galaxy films and would also not be called “Vol.4”. Additionally, has also shifted all his attention to DC Studios as its new co-CEO, which would very likely not leave him any time to even think of developing a fourth Guardians film.

  1. Moreover, several cast members such as Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana have stated that they are done with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and Marvel as a whole.
  2. However, a potential fourth film with a brand new cast was teased in the mid-credits scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 where the roster included Rocket Raccoon (the leader), Groot, Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Blurp, Cosmo, and Phyla-Vell.

The return of Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord was also teased in the post-credits scene where it said: “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return”, though it is unknown as to whether it will be the potential fourth film or a separate solo project for the character.

How is gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 if she died

Answered By: Christopher Morris Date: created: May 20 2024

The Gamora in Endgame/GotG3 is from the 2014 timeline who came back with current Nebula, and stayed around after 2014 Thanos was killed. Peter and the other Guardians are in denial because they didn’t see their Gamora actually die, and think 2014 Gamora just has amnesia rather then not the Gamora they knew.

Will gamora return in Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Answered By: Herbert Robinson Date: created: Jan 21 2024

The Gamora In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3 Is Not The Same One From Vol.1 And Vol.2 – Despite first appearing in the MCU as the “daughter” and right-hand-woman of Thanos in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Gamora quickly becomes an ally after Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Drax, and Gamora escape from the Kyln prison. After growing close with the team – especially Peter Quill – and fighting Ronan, Ego, and more, Thanos sacrifices her to attain the Soul Stone.

  1. This version of Gamora stays dead, and the one in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is instead a variant from the past.
  2. In Endgame, a Thanos from 2014, along with Nebula, Gamora, the Black Order, and his army, travel to the present to wipe out the Avengers.
  3. They’re all killed or snapped away by Tony Stark except Gamora, and it is this version that returns in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3,

However, given that this Gamora never met the Guardians on Xandar, fell in love with Quill, or went through any of the other bits of characters development seen in original Gamora’s three MCU appearances, it was a mystery what Gamora has been doing between Endgame and GotG 3, but the latter does present vague answers.

Who is the little girl at the end of Guardians 3?

Mid-credits scene: Meet the new Guardians – When Star-Lord leaves at the end of the film, he names Rocket ( Bradley Cooper ) as the new leader of the team. (Peter also gives Rocket a parting gift: his beloved Zune MP3 player.) The mid-credits scene finds Rocket leading a new crew, joined by Groot ( Vin Diesel ), Cosmo the Space Dog ( Maria Bakalova ), and Kraglin ( Sean Gunn ).

The reformed Adam Warlock ( Will Poulter ) has also joined the squad with his beloved alien pet Blurp. There’s one more member of the new Guardians that’s worth noting: a young girl with white hair (played by Kai Zen), rescued from the High Evolutionary’s lab. The credits identify her as Phyla, an apparent nod to the comics character Phyla-Vell.

In Marvel comics, Phyla-Vell is a powerful heroine, the daughter of legendary Kree warrior Mar-Vell. She’s gone by various names, including Captain Marvel and Quasar, but she’s perhaps best known as a member of the Guardians. Phyla’s introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes at a particularly interesting time: The next film to hit theaters will be The Marvels in November, focusing on Brie Larson ‘s Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris ‘ Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan.

  • Like Phyla-Vell, all three of those characters have ties to the Captain Marvel/Ms.
  • Marvel moniker.
  • Might Phyla play a role in The Marvels? We’ll have to wait and see.
  • As for the rest of the Guardians, Rocket proves to be a more than capable captain, leading his team into battle against a group of aliens.

He also provides an appropriate soundtrack, cuing up Redbone’s “Come and Get Your Love” on the Zune — a throwback to the opening of the original Guardians movie. Is Adam Warlock a bad guy

Answered By: Daniel Bailey Date: created: Sep 06 2023

Is Adam Warlock a Hero or a Villain? – Lee and Kirby portrayed Him as a cold, enigmatic figure — not quite evil, but hardly heroic either. In his debut issue, he rebels against his role as the Enclave’s tool of world domination, then promptly kills his creators without hesitation. When he reappears in Thor, he possesses a scornful, condescending attitude towards humanity, and shows disdain for Thor’s compassion for mortals.

As he proudly declares, “I am Him! I am law and truth unto myself!” He may not be a power-mad despot like his creators, but he’s still presented as a callous, selfish antagonist for the heroes of Marvel Comics. However, that all changed once Him received the name he would become best known for. In 1972’s Marvel Premiere #1 by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Him’s cocoon is recovered by the High Evolutionary, who soon dubs him Warlock.

Warlock observes the High Evolutionary’s latest experiment — an artificial planet called Counter-Earth. Created by the High Evolutionary to be a perfect society free of evil, Counter-Earth nevertheless develops into a near-perfect copy of 20th century Earth, complete with all its ills.

  1. Though the High Evolutionary intends to wipe out all life on his new world and start the experiment anew, Him undergoes a change of heart and feels compassion for the humans of Counter-Earth.
  2. Determined to stay the High Evolutionary’s hand, Warlock descends to Counter-Earth to become its hero and prove that its people are worthy of life.

Soon, Warlock is given the first name “Adam” by a group of teenagers who discover his crash landing. The newly renamed Adam Warlock is a far cry from his Lee-Kirby origins, going from a ruthless Übermensch who looks down on humanity to a kind-hearted savior who seeks to preserve human life.

Writer Roy Thomas has stated in interviews that his characterization of Warlock was inspired by the then-recent musical Jesus Christ Superstar, which inspired him to give the Marvel Universe its own cosmic messiah. However, Warlock’s morality would become blurrier in writer-artist Jim Starlin’s run on Warlock, which introduced a new villain for Adam in the form of his own future self.

Traveling back in time and taking the name Magus, he set himself up as the ruler and deity of the Universal Church of Truth, a theocratic empire bent on saving the cosmos through conquest. Adam initially refuses to believe that he could ever become the Magus — but in truth, the Magus isn’t so far removed from Warlock’s time as Him.

Does Nebula have a crush on Peter Quill?

James Gunn Talks About The Crush-Like Feelings Nebula Had For Star-Lord — GeekTyrant There was a fun little moment in where Gamora tells that the person he was in love with sounded more like Nebula, which led to an amusing awkward exchange about how much Star-Lord liked Nebula’s dark eyes.

There was definitely a little moment of questioning “is there a little something there between us?” It turns out that Nebula star very much believes that Nebula does have a little crush on Peter Quill, and during a recent interview with, director expanded on that a bit and believes that there could be something there.

He explained: “I never thought about fully going there, but do I think that Nebula, emotionally, is sort of that mean schoolgirl who’s not going to show her feelings to anybody. Karen thinks that Nebula has a little bit of a crush on Quill that she doesn’t quite know how to put together, and it makes sense because as we come to them in ‘Vol.3,’ we realize that they are the two leaders of the Guardians.

I think it’s very normal in any close friendship to have some sort of occasional romantic or crush-like feelings.” It makes sense that Gamora and Star-Lord might have some kind of unspoken crush. It makes sense to me! It might be fun to rewatch these films again just to see if Gillan actually incorporates some of this stuff in the scenes she’s acting alongside Chris Pratt.

I like that there’s some subtext there for these two characters. What do you think? Are you on board with Nebula having a crush on Peter? Does that make sense to you? : James Gunn Talks About The Crush-Like Feelings Nebula Had For Star-Lord — GeekTyrant

Is Guardians 3 phase 5?

Initial work and announcement – By April 2014, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that additional storylines for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) were planned through 2028. During Marvel Studios’ panel at the July 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, Feige announced several films and Disney+ television series in development for Phase Four of the MCU, before revealing the film Blade was also in development.

After the panel, Feige confirmed that Blade was not part of the Phase Four slate at the time, and that what was announced was the full Phase Four slate at that point, despite Marvel already developing further projects at that time, such as the long-in-development Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and a sequel to Captain Marvel (2019).

An Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) sequel entered development by November 2019, having a potential 2022 release. Development work on a second season of What If.? had begun by December 2019. Ryan Reynolds confirmed that month that a third Deadpool film after 20th Century Fox ‘s Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018) was in development at Marvel Studios, with his production company Maximum Effort co-producing the film.

  1. In April 2020, Disney scheduled Captain Marvel 2 for release on July 8, 2022, before moving it back to November 11, 2022, in December 2020.
  2. Also in December, they dated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 for 2023, and announced Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Fantastic Four were in development, along with the Disney+ series Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Armor Wars (later changed to a film).

Feige indicated Secret Invasion and Ironheart would tie-in with future MCU films. These Disney+ series, plus Captain Marvel 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, and Fantastic Four were believed to be a part of Phase Four at that time.

By November 2020, development had begun on a second season of the television series Loki, which was formally confirmed in July 2021. Development on a series centered on Echo as a spin-off from Hawkeye began by March 2021. By the end of April 2021, a fourth Captain America film was revealed to be in development as a continuation of the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

Development on a series centered on Agatha Harkness as a spin-off from WandaVision began by October 2021. During the Disney+ Day event the following month, Marvel Studios officially announced Echo and the Agatha Harkness series, which was later titled Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, By March 2022, a reboot project of Marvel Television ‘s Netflix series Daredevil (2015–2018) was revealed to be in development, and was confirmed to be in development for Disney+ in May.

By June 2022, Marvel Studios was developing the film Thunderbolts, Later that month, Feige said information on the next saga of the MCU would be provided in the following months, with Marvel Studios being a “little more direct” on their future plans to provide audiences with “the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap” following the clues included during Phase Four.

At Marvel Studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel in July 2022, Feige announced that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would conclude Phase Four, with the following films and series becoming part of Phase Five: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, The Marvels, Secret Invasion, and Ironheart,

Blade, the second season of Loki, Echo, and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries were also confirmed for Phase Five, with Feige announcing the series Daredevil: Born Again and the films Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts, He also announced that Phase Five, along with Phase Four and Phase Six, would be part of The Multiverse Saga,

  1. By then, the second season of What If.? was also announced to release during this phase, while production had begun on five additional shorts for the series I Am Groot,
  2. Feige stated that many of the projects in Phase Four and Five, and their post-credit teases, would connect and lead towards the conclusion of The Multiverse Saga, while some would remain standalone.

Feige described Quantumania as “a direct line” into the phase and Phase Six’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2026). In September, Reynolds announced that Deadpool 3 would be released on September 6, 2024.

Does Rocket love Lylla?

Events of uncertain factuality – While it is certain Lylla participated in many events of Rocket’s life, we only have his altered, and unreliable, memories as a record. Therefore, we can’t know how much of them is accurate. In Rocket’s fairy-tale recollection of events, Lylla was the heiress to the largest toymaking empire in Halfworld, Mayhem Mekaniks, for which she was called a princess.

  • On Rocket’s first birthday Lylla, her uncle Wal Rus and the tortoise Pyko threw him a party, and Lylla and Wal Rus gifted Rocket his work uniform.
  • Later, Blackjack stole their cake to eat it with Dyvyne and Jakes, but, as his first mission, Rocket brought the cake back to Lylla and Wal Rus.
  • Another memory from years later tells us after Rocket bought his first ship, Lylla named it the Rakk ‘n’ Ruin,

Shortly after, Lylla was in Cuckoo’s Nest, the holding place for the Gideon Bible, the starship log which chronicled how the humanoids built Halfworld. The place was raided by Blackjack and his Black Bunny Brigade, who stole the Bible and kidnapped Lylla under Judson Jakes’ orders.

  1. Lylla was taken to the Spacewheel, Jake’s ship resting in the middle of the Keystone Quadrant.
  2. When Rocket came to her rescue, Blackjack pointed a gun to Lylla’s head to make him step out, but Lylla was rescued by the visiting Earther called The Hulk, who quickly teleported back home.
  3. Lylla saved Rocket’s life by warning him of the impending attack of a Drakillar, and afterwards they were able to retrieve the Bible and go back home.

Later, Jakes secretly murdered Lylla’s parents and made himself her legal guardian, although he couldn’t obtain full rights to the business. A certain afternoon before she had come of age, Lylla was invited by Rocket and Wal Rus to swim at a river, but when they got there Rocket busied himself trying to understand the Gideon Bible.

Upset, Lylla undressed in front of him and convinced him to join her in the water, where they cuddled. Lylla asked her uncle if he would join them, but Wal Rus said it would be inappropriate. Unfortunately, the moment was interrupted by the news that Dyvyne’s toysmith had been murdered, so Rocket had to go do his job.

Later, Lylla went to Cuckoo’s Nest, where she watched Halfworld’s lunatic patients prepare a masquerade for therapeutic purposes, when she spotted Pyko stealing the Gideon Bible again. However, she was distracted by the commencement of the ceremony before she could recognise him.

When the ceremony was interrupted by one of Jakes’ killer robots (which were mere guards outside of Rocket’s warped memories), Lylla realised Jakes was up to something again. With no time to warn Rocket, she decided to deal with it herself, but was kidnapped by Blackjack. Lylla was taken to Dyvyne, who intended to marry her for her fortune, and she begged Rocket, her soulmate, for help.

Seeing Rocket’s zeal for rescuing Lylla, Blackjack decided that since he was taking all the risks, he’d marry her. Lylla swore she’d never marry him, calling him a horrid hare. Blackjack and his Brigade moved Lylla to Aslyum, the most sacred shine for the insane patients of the planet.

Wal Rus arrived to the place first, undoing Lylla’s bounds and allowing her to knock out one of the Black Bunnies. When Blackjack attempted to regain control, they were interrupted by Jakes’ clowns. Realizing they had a common enemy, Lylla convinced Blackjack to join them. After leaving in the Rakk ‘n’ Ruin, they were besiegued by firepower from every direction.

Lylla found Blackjack’s whining annoying, so after she asked Wal Rus if they could get rid of the bunny, he suggested tossing her out of the ship, since she was Jakes’ goal. Rocket promptly shut down the suggestion, and they hid in a crater, abandoning the Rakk ‘n’ Ruin as it was destroyed.

From there, Lylla and the rest rode some Wild Worms to a cantina on the robot side of the planet. Lylla spotted Pyko sitting in the shadows, and the tortoise revealed he’d translated the Gideon Bible and that all the Halfworld animals were originally pets. Before Lylla could react, Blackjack attempted to kidnap her again to get on Dyvyne’s good graces.

O’Hare held Lylla at gunpoint, but she simply freed herself and knocked him down. After getting away, Lylla, Rocket, Wal Rus and Pyko reached the robots’ central manufacturing facility. The group fed the Gideon Bible to the Head Robot, which used it to design a helmet that could cure insanity.

Afterwards, Lylla and the rest created a mock travelling show to attract as many lunatics as possible in order to cure them. To make their pitch convincing, Rocket wore the helmet in front of a crowd. As he was already sane, the device made him overwhelmingly aware of the depth of his love for Lylla, causing Rocket to jump to Lylla and kiss her while proclaiming his love.

After every human received a helmet, Lylla was shocked by the silence she heard, as the humans were occupied thinking for the first time. At that moment, Jakes and Dyvyne launched a joint, final attack. As Lylla’s group was surrounded, she started firing her gun at Rocket’s battle-cry of “Let ’em eat hot light,” with Lylla saying goodbye to Pyko and apologizing for thinking he was a sleaze.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 has finally arrived on Disney+ and its arrival has led to some Marvel fans asking the same question: how is Gamora back alive? It’s been an eventful time for the Guardians since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, with Gamora sacrificed by her father Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War to get his hands on the Soul Stone, Marvel Studios // Getty Images Watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 on Disney+ To explain all, we need to head back to Avengers: Endgame and its timey-wimey plot that went all over the MCU timeline. Part of the time heist saw Nebula and Rhodey (or should that be Skrull-Rhodey ?) head to Morag in 2014 to steal the Power Stone before Peter Quill could.

  1. While in 2014 they attracted the attention of 2014’s Thanos, which led to 2014-Nebula switching places with 2023-Nebula.
  2. When 2014-Nebula ended back in the present day, she brought Thanos and his ship into the same year, along with the 2014 version of Gamora, who hadn’t even met the Guardians at that point in her timeline.

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, 2014-Gamora snuck away as the rest of the Avengers were mourning the loss of Tony Stark. This was the last time we saw her in the MCU until the events of Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Marvel Studios The threequel revealed that 2014-Gamora had gone on to join the Ravagers since the events of Endgame, She acts as though she doesn’t know Peter and the Guardians because she really doesn’t – this Gamora isn’t the Gamora we watched in the first two Guardians movies.

That version of Gamora really did die when Thanos sacrificed her and the Gamora in Guardians 3 is the alternate-timeline Gamora. It’s why she acts differently to the Gamora we knew, as she’s had different life experiences. Why is gamora not in Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Answered By: Ethan Powell Date: created: Apr 19 2024

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3′ Explores Gamora’s Variant Dynamics – Image via Marvel Studios As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 begins, we learn that Peter is still shattered by Gamora’s death, drinking his sorrows away until he’s unable to captain the Guardians of the Galaxy. That’s because, while he still keeps all the fond memories he created while dating the deceased Gamora, the Variant of his ex-girlfriend doesn’t remember anything about their love.

Things get more complicated once Nebula hires Variant Gamora and the Ravagers to help the Guardians save Rocket’s (voiced by Bradley Cooper ) life. In Vol.3, the Variant Gamora is working with the MCU’s space pirates, who replaced the Guardians as her found family. So, with Variant Gamora being dragged into the team again, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 must deal with Gamora’s awkward existence.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 doesn’t shy away from joking away Gamora’s previous murder and brushes over the fact that people sacrificed in exchange for the Soul Stone can never come back to life. However, most importantly, the fact we are following Variant Gamora allows Gunn to approach the character in a different light. Image via Marvel Studios The Original Gamora betrayed Thanos and found a new family in the Guardians. The Variant Gamora was just pushed into a timeline she didn’t comprehend and never really had the time to think about her complicated relationship with Thanos.

  1. That’s why she doesn’t stick with the Guardians.
  2. They have no history together, and these strange people didn’t help Variant Gamora to overcome her traumas.
  3. Still, both versions of Gamora feel lonely and are searching for friends.
  4. That’s why Variant Gamora becomes a proud member of the Ravagers.
  5. So, while fate has changed history for Variant Gamora, she still manages to create meaningful connections with different people, sharing the glory of a life of adventures.

Yes, she could have this with the Guardians, but life pushed her toward the Ravagers. Saldaña has said before she’s done with the MCU, even though she hopes another star can take over the role of Gamora, Respecting her wishes, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 serves as a farewell to the Original Gamora, as Peter and the fans get to realize that woman is dead and won’t come back.

Did James Gunn imply that audiences can now understand Groot’s final line? – Towards the end of the sequel, Groot says, “I love you guys” — a departure from his usual dialogue of “I am Groot.” James Gunn has confirmed that this isn’t actually Groot vocalizing the words “I love you guys,” but rather, the moment signifies that the audience has spent enough time with the Guardians and Groot to be able to understand what he is saying.

Spoiler.Yes that’s exactly what it means.

— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 was directed by James Gunn and was released in theaters on May 5. The sequel heavily features the backstory of Rocket — the armed and snarky raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper — and his history with the film’s villain, The High Evolutionary ().

Why is Groot so big?

How did Baby Groot become buff? – Groot in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (image via Marvel Studios) James Gunn explained the decision to make the character more buff on Twitter. He mentioned it was done to make him slightly different from his father in the 2014 film as he is, in essence, of the same build. Is Thor 5 Happening in the MCU? – Marvel Studios As of now, Thor 5 has yet to be officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, but Love and Thunder did end with the promise that “Thor will Return.” So, at the very least, Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian Avenger will be back for more action, even if that only comes through more team-up blockbusters.

  • Thor 4 certainly set the stage for more action with the hero and his newly adopted daughter Love, notably through a battle with Brett Goldstein’s Hercules,
  • While that could certainly come through a Hercules project or even one of the next Avengers movies, that particular thread would more naturally place into Thor 5,

Hemsworth has already expressed his willingness to stick around in the MCU, and as one of the only remaining original Avengers as well as a continued box office draw, it only makes sense to keep his franchise going with Thor 5,

Why can t Gamora remember?

Fans were hoping that the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 would smooth out all the problems that exist between Gamora and Star-Lord and that the two would end up together after she finally re-joins the Guardians of the Galaxy team. However, something completely opposite happened as Gamora and Star-Lord parted ways before the team ultimately disbanded and reformed again under the leadership of Rocket Racoon.

At the core of Star-Lord’s and Gamora’s conflict stands the fact that she doesn’t remember him any longer after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, and many fans are asking, why doesn’t Gamora remember Star-Lord? Gamora doesn’t remember Star-Lord because she is not the same Gamora that died during the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

The version of Gamora that we met in the first Guardian of the Galaxy installment is dead, and so her memories and experiences died with her. The Gamora that we met during the events of Avengers: Endgame is a different younger version of Gamora that never met Peter Quill and never fell in love with him, and it’s impossible for her to have memories of the events of something that never transpired in her timeline.

Why Gamora is not in the funeral?

Why wasn’t Gamora at Tony Stark’s funeral? – Gamora’s absence from Tony Stark’s funeral in Avengers: Endgame can be attributed to a simple fact: there was no reason for her to be there. The Gamora we saw in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and Infinity War is dead and never met Tony.

How is Drax alive

Answered By: Ryan Reed Date: created: Sep 27 2023

Infinity War and resurrection – In 2018, when the Guardians answer the distress call from Thor’s destroyed spaceship and save Thor from floating in space, Drax accompanies Quill, Gamora, and Mantis to Knowhere to head off Thanos from gaining the Reality Stone.

However, Thanos gets there first and uses the stone to briefly turn Drax into a pile of blocks. After Thanos takes Gamora and leaves, Drax reforms back into himself and accompanies Quill and Mantis to Titan, where they join with Avengers Tony Stark, Peter Parker, and Stephen Strange in an effort to defeat Thanos there, which ultimately fails due to Thanos’ immense power with the partially assembled Infinity Gauntlet,

Shortly after, Drax disintegrates due to the Blip, In 2023, Drax is restored to life and is transported via a portal to Earth at the destroyed Avengers Compound to join the battle against an alternate 2014 Thanos and his army. Afterwards, Drax attends Stark’s funeral, and along with the other Guardians and Thor, departs for space.

Who brought Drax back to life?

Who killed Drax

Answered By: Justin Griffin Date: created: Apr 08 2024

All 4 times Drax died in Marvel Comics – Drax the Destroyer is one of the characters in Marvel Comics who has been changed many times. The character first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1972 and was one of the characters heavily connected to the Avengers and Infinity Wars comics of the 1980s.

  1. Drax the Destroyer’s origin story is quite interesting since he is one of the rare characters who is closely connected to Thanos; besides Gamora and Death – Drax was created to kill the Mad Titan.
  2. The story goes something like this; one day, a family of three, Arthur Douglas, his wife Yvette, and their daughter Heather were driving across the Mojave Desert from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

Suddenly, a spaceship carrying the Mad Titan, Thanos, passed Earth on a secret surveillance mission. Seeing that humans saw his arrival on Earth, Thanos destroyed the family car driving through the Mojave Desert, causing the accident that killed the Douglas family. The first death of Drax in the comics. The plan is in session – Mentor and Kronos work together to create the perfect killing machine, whose purpose will solely be on killing Thanos. They pull the dying consciousness of Arthur Douglas and put it in a humanoid body enhanced with superhuman powers,

Mentor and Kronos created a being known as Drax the Destroyer. The superhuman creature followed the Mad Titan across the universe to kill the Mad Titan, but interestingly enough, Drax was never killed by the hands of Thanos. The first time Drax was killed in the comics was at the hands of his daughter Heather, better known as Moondragon.

Remember Heather? Well, Douglas’s family wasn’t the only ones who saw Thanos surveying the Earth; his father, Mentor, was present as well, and when he saw the family slowly dying, the Eternal saved Heather from the car rubble and took her back to Titan, where he raised and trained her.

Drax’s first death was during the Avengers run from 1963, where issues from #219 to #220 showcase Moondragon and her killing her father with her psychic powers. During their travels across the universe, Drax noticed Moondragon hungry for power. They discovered a planet called Ba-Banis, a world covered with conflict and death.

Moondragon resolved the conflict through her mental prowess and put herself as the population’s goddess. Drax realizes that his daughter isn’t in the right state of mind and calls for the help of the Avengers to help him stop Moondragon. After the conflict is resolved, Drax wants to reach Moondragon and finish her once and for all, but she separates his life essence from his body, killing him. Drax was resurrected by Kronos several years later, but the Titan God didn’t realize that Drax was still mentally damaged by Moondragon and her fiddling with his psyche. However, the superhuman being started recovering after his stint with Infinity Watch and other adventures, and one day, Drax found himself trapped on Earth.

This is where the second death comes into play – Drax, Paibok, Lunatik, and Blood Brothers are imprisoned for supposedly killing 200,000 Skrulls. The prison crashes on Earth, and Drax befriends a teenager named Cammi, who observes as Paibok suddenly turns into Thanos. The “fake” Thanos shocks Drax and uses the confusion to kill the Destroyer on sight by piercing him through the head.

The death occurred during Drax the Destroyer issue #2 from 2005, which was rather sudden. However, Drax got his new body with enhanced powers and a stronger body. This death occurred before the Annihilation event, which saw Drax killing Thanos by snatching Mad Titan’s heart from his body with bare hands. All of these deaths were legitimate, but the one that changed the continuity of Drax in Marvel Comics, softly rebooted the character, was the one that occurred in Infinity Wars comic book run from 2018.

Does gamora come back to life in Guardians of the Galaxy 3?

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 Gamora returned in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 after being killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and avoiding getting snapped away by Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame, Since their debut in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Studios’ premiere cosmic heroes have faced repeated hardships and tragedy.

  1. However, the end of the McU’s Infinity Saga perhaps marked the team’s biggest loss yet, as Zoe Saldaña ‘s Gamora was sacrificed by Thanos on Vormir in exchange for the Soul Stone.
  2. Even so, this wasn’t the end for Gamora in the MCU.
  3. Five years after Thanos erased half of the population of the universe, the remaining members of the Avengers banded together to embark on the Time Heist, traveling through time to collect the Infinity Stones for themselves.

These travels unwittingly allowed the 2014 version of Thanos and his.
