Who got Rory pregnant

Answered By: George Henderson Date: created: May 27 2023

Attention Gilmore Girls fans: We have some major news. When the popular dramedy series was rebooted by Netflix in 2016 as Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, there were a few major plot twists for our faves from Stars Hollow. But one of the biggest surprises arrived at the very end, when Rory revealed to Lorelai that she was pregnant.

  • However, it was never disclosed *who* exactly the father was.until now.
  • Thanks to costume supervisor Valerie Campbell, we know it’s none other than Logan Huntzberger.
  • The costumer supervisor for A Year in the Life (who also worked as a key set costumer on Gilmore Girls ) finally answered the question that’s been on fans’ minds for years.

In a new TikTok video, she said, “Let’s do the math.” Campbell breaks it down in the clip, saying that the potential fathers at the time were Paul, the Wookie and Logan. In the video, the costumer says ” definitely wasn’t sleeping with,” And with regards to the Wookie: “She sleeps with the Wookie once, and if it was the Wookie, she would definitely be showing.” But as Campbell notes, “We never gave her a pregnancy belly, and that is very, very important.

  1. We never gave her one; we were never instructed to give her one.” So who does that leave? Logan Huntzberger.
  2. The only obvious choice is—you guessed it—Logan,” Campbell says.
  3. She also points out that the show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, said: “Why are people even questioning who the father is?” According to Campbell, it was supposed to be obvious to viewers, even though it’s never explicitly said on the show.

For fans who have seen A Year in the Life, they likely remember that Rory has an affair with Logan, even though he’s engaged when the two reconnect. And for those who have been speculating that Jess ( Milo Ventimiglia ) was the father, Campbell had a quick shutdown for that idea: “Seriously, guys.

Does Lorelai finally marry Luke?

Certain aspects of Luke and Lorelai’s wedding didn’t make sense in Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, Luke and Lorelai had a lot of ups and downs during the original run of Gilmore Girls, and that rollercoaster was repeated in the Netflix revival Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life,

  1. However, in the end, Luke and Lorelai did finally end up getting married in the last episode, years after their failed first attempt in Gilmore Girls season 6.
  2. Luke and Lorelai’s wedding contained a lot of details that perfectly represented their relationship, such as using the first song they ever danced to together, and the decorations in Stars Hollow’s town square.

But, considering one of the big storylines from Gilmore Girls season 6 was Lorelai being able to plan the perfect wedding and never making it down the aisle before she and Luke broke up, many expected.

Does Lorelai have a happy ending?

At the end of the night, Lorelai thanks Luke for putting together Rory’s celebration at the last minute, to which he says, ‘I just like to see you happy.’ The two share a meaningful kiss in the town square, giving the will-they-won’t-they couple closure.

Does Lorelai or Rory get pregnant?

‘Gilmore Girls’ staffer reveals the ‘obvious choice’ of father for Rory Gilmore’s baby More than six years after “Gilmore Girls” fans learned that was pregnant with her first child, we are finally getting the inside scoop about the baby’s father. Valerie Campbell, who worked as a costume supervisor on the show’s Netflix revival “Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life” and as key set costumer on the original series, told fans in a March 19 that there was only one “obvious choice” about which of Rory’s paramours fathered her child. Old flames Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Logan (Matt Czuchry) had an affair in “Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life.” Saeed Adyani / Netflix “It’s funny how many fan theories people have had as to who it could have been. For me, there was never a question as to the paternity,” Campbell tells

“We were never told that Rory’s character was pregnant. The moment I heard the final four words, there was only one choice.” Fans recall that, Rory (Alexis Bledel) told her mom, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), that she was pregnant. So many fans have speculated about the baby’s paternity since 2016 that Campbell decided to address what she believes is a very “obvious” plot point.

Speaking in a caffeinated cadence familiar to “Gilmore” fans, Campbell tells fans in her TikTok video to simply “do the math” to figure out when Rory got pregnant and by whom. Rory, she points out, had no visible pregnancy bump when she revealed she was expecting in the series’ finale, which was set in in autumn.

Campbell then quickly rules out Rory’s ex-boyfriend Paul (Jack Carpenter ), because she “definitely wasn’t sleeping with him” in the weeks before realizing she was pregnant. Campbell also rules out the guy in the Wookiee suit — hey, IYKYK — who Rory hooked up with once with in the springtime. If the Wookiee guy was the baby’s father, Rory would have had a baby bump by autumn, she explains.

“If it was the Wookiee, she would definitely be showing, and we never gave her a pregnancy belly,” says Campbell. “That is very, very important. We never gave her one. We were never instructed to give her one. It is definitely not the Wookiee.” Which leaves just one other guy.

  1. The only obvious choice is, you guessed it, Logan,” says Campbell.
  2. Rory and Logan began dating in Season 5 of the original series.
  3. The pair, who met at Yale University, part ways in Season 7 after Rory rejected Logan’s marriage proposal.
  4. In the Netflix revival, Rory and Logan engaged in a full-on affair, sleeping together whenever Rory visits London — despite the fact that both have other partners.

The two decide in the wintertime to end the affair. But the following autumn, they meet up in Stars Hollow for one last romantic night together. Soon after, Rory realizes she’s pregnant. Campbell tells fans in her TikTok video that “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino always intended for viewers to infer that the baby’s dad was Logan.

  • Amy herself said, ‘Why are people even questioning who the father is?'” Campbell says.
  • It’s because it was supposed to be very, very, very, very obvious,” she adds.
  • As for Sherman-Palladino possibly being upset with her for confirming the identity of the baby’s dad, Campbell tells, “Haha, I hope not.” Sherman-Palladino did not immediately respond to’s request for comment on March 21.

Campbell posted on TikTok in which she reiterates that it should be easy to determine which man is the baby’s father. “Must I remind you, the math!” she says. “If it was Paul, she would’ve had a baby in the fall, If it was the Wookiee, she would’ve been about to burst.” As for fans who hoped that Rory’s first love Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) somehow impregnated her, Campbell quickly shoots down that idea.

Why? Well, for starters, Rory and Jess never have sex in the the show’s revival. “Seriously, guys, it’s not immaculate conception,” Campbell jokes. Campbell tells that if the “stars magically aligned again,” she can’t even begin to imagine what would happen to the characters of Stars Hollow.

“It’s so hard to speculate,” she says, crediting Sherman-Palladino’s creative vision. “It’s just not something I could even attempt to imagine. Rory is not Lorelai, Jess is not Luke, Logan is not Christopher and we don’t live in the same world we did in 2007 or even 2016.

Who did Lorelai get pregnant by?

About – Christopher and Lorelai met at the age of 6, were best friends in adolescence and dated. After Lorelai got pregnant and had Rory, it is presumed, though never shown, that she and Christopher broke up. Around the start of the series, Christopher is sporadically in and out of their lives; sometimes several years span between his appearances.

  • Eventually, he becomes more responsible and shows up at important moments in Rory’s life, later rekindling his romance with Lorelai, which is halted by his girlfriend’s pregnancy.
  • When Sherry leaves Christopher to raise Gigi alone, Lorelai helps him out, much to Rory’s dismay, and Emily encourages Christopher to go after Lorelai while Lorelai is with Luke.

This puts a long pause on Christopher’s connection with the Gilmores, but he resurfaces offering to pay for Yale. When Lorelai breaks up with Luke, she ends up in bed with Christopher and they eventually start dating and are later married. Their marriage ends with both ceding that maybe they were never meant to be.

Does Rory end up happy

Answered By: Devin Williams Date: created: Apr 08 2024

When ” Gilmore Girls : A Year in the Life” aired in 2016, fans had so many questions, The biggest of all: Who will Rory Gilmore end up with? Fans of the original series knew she went her own way after graduating from Yale, ending her relationship with Logan as he heads to California’s blossoming tech industry.

While Rory doesn’t need a man to fulfill herself, the promise that all the major guys from Rory’s past would return for the Netflix series got fans’ hopes up that perhaps she could rekindle something. The answer is complicated. Rory does rekindle her romance with Logan, but it’s far from a fairy tale: he’s engaged to another woman.

They have an arrangement in which she gets to crash at his swanky London pad (when his Paris-dwelling fiancé is gone) and whatever happens there, stays there. Again, we find Rory sleeping with a spoken-for ex, disappointing fans for those who were pulling for Logan,

They continue their affair until the final “Fall” episode, when they sleep together one last time before Rory ends it for good. Another detail that surprised fans: In the beginning of “A Year in the Life,” Rory has a boyfriend, too. His name is Paul, and he only appears in the “Winter” episode. It’s a running joke that he’s forgettable and Rory keeps meaning to break up with him, but he eventually breaks up with her via text in the “Fall” segment.

Overall, it’s kind of a throwaway plot point. Then Jess makes his grand entrance in the “Summer” episode, as Rory’s life is caving in around her. He gives her a pep talk when she takes over being the editor of the Stars Hollow Gazette, then he shows up in the “Fall” episode to attend Luke and Lorelai’s wedding.

Though they end up getting married in the middle of the night with only a handful of people at the altar, Jess and Rory share a brief moment earlier that afternoon, and you can clearly tell Jess is still carrying a torch for her. The pair soon seem all set to live a happy life together. Rory’s life isn’t as complicated as it once was, Jess is single, this could be their moment! Except,

the show’s final four words are game-changers, Rory is pregnant, and either it’s Logan’s baby, a Wookiee’s baby, or an unknown third option. Yeah, things just got complicated. Rory doesn’t end up with Jess, Logan, or Dean, who is married with three kids and a baby on the way.

Why don t Luke and Lorelai have a baby

Answered By: John James Date: created: Dec 07 2023

1. Reputable Agencies Spend Time Getting to Know the Intended Parents – From the get-go, we can see that Lorelai and Luke are not on the same page with even having a child, let alone with going the route of surrogacy. Lorelai is bent on helping fulfill a wish that Luke doesn’t even say that he wants.

This concept was lost on a lot of viewers. People wanted so desperately for Luke and Lorelai to become parents, that most online reviews of the revival fail to see this. Luke goes along with it, but he never displays any real interest in the process, besides appeasing Lorelai. This would have come out during the intake process for the couple, if they had been at a reputable agency.

Instead, they received pushy sales tactics, courtesy of Paris, who is now running a surrogacy agency for the elite. Real agencies spend time getting to know the couple. The process is designed to help make dreams come true, not sell a service.

Who is Rory pregnant with Jess?

Summary –

The Gilmore Girls revival series hints that Logan is likely the father of Rory’s baby, given their ongoing relationship and the circumstances surrounding their affair. Although Jess reunites with Rory in the revival, there is no indication of a recent romantic encounter, making it unlikely that he is the father of her baby. While Logan may be the biological father, Jess is likely to be Rory’s long-term romantic fate, but their relationship poses challenges due to family dynamics. If no second season of the revival is produced, fans will be left wondering about Rory’s future with her new baby.

With the Netflix revival series A Year in the Life, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino finally got to give Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and the rest of the cast the send-off she always intended by ending the series with Rory’s pregnancy reveal.

Even though Sherman-Palladino wrapped up that storyline, she still ended the series on a different cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering who the father of Rory’s baby is. The father of Rory’s baby is only one of many unanswered Gilmore Girls questions that came out of in the revival of A Year in the Life,

However, the show does hint as to whose baby Rory is pregnant with. From a boyfriend to a one-night stand to an illicit affair, A Year in the Life presents a few men who could be possible candidates, but all signs point to Logan being the father of Rory’s baby.

  1. Summer and a Chilton student named Austin were locked in a bathroom together, making Tristin suspicious and angry.
  2. He tried to talk to her, but she was concentrated on partying with other guys.
  3. Eventually, he got her to talk to him, but that unfortunately caused her to break up with him.

Gilmore Girls’ Lorelai Gilmore and Luke Danes’ Complete Relationship Timeline: Platonic Pals to Endgame – They’re “all in!” Throughout Gilmore Girls ‘ tenure, eager fans watched lovable grump Luke Danes pine for leading lady Lorelai Gilmore until he eventually won her heart.

“I am always, always, always going to go with the very first time that we see those two together in the diner,” Scott Patterson — who portrayed the Stars Hollow diner owner for seven seasons on The WB series — exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2021 of his favorite scene opposite Lauren Graham ‘s Lorelai.

“And she comes up and I say, ‘You have a problem, you know, how many cups?’ It says everything about the relationship. It says everything about the sexual tension between the two and the way she played it, it was just absolute perfection. And it was the moment I realized that I was going to have a lot of fun working with Lauren and that the work was going to be on a very high level.” The “I Am All In” podcast host added at the time: “That’s what you hope to get, a partner that’s that skilled and scene present in the scene.” Gilmore Girls was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband, Daniel Palladino, and originally ran for seven seasons between 2000 and 2007.

Netflix later revived the beloved dramedy for a four-episode revival, titled A Year in the Life, in November 2016. The show introduced dedicated fans to the mother-daughter pair of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore ( Alexis Bledel ) in their quirky small town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann, Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia and Matt Czuchry also starred.

Did Lorelai and Luke date in real life

Answered By: Gabriel Foster Date: created: Apr 18 2023

Scott Patterson And Lauren Graham Never Dated Despite Their Gilmore Girls Chemistry – Besides the rumors about their feud, the biggest speculation surrounding Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham outside of Gilmore Girls was that they actually dated in real life. Despite Lorelai and Luke’s romantic Gilmore Girls moments, the pair was never an item outside the imaginations of overeager fans, and kept things professional throughout the show’s seven seasons.

In the same Hello! article, Patterson thought back to the early days of the show’s production and mentioned that ” chemistry was there ” between himself and Graham. He went on to say that he wanted to ” keep this professional ” which seemed to point to the fact that he might have had a crush. Patterson also mentioned that he was in a relationship at the time, which was one of the reasons he chose not to act upon their immediate spark.

In a way, the real-life chemistry between Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham reflected what the characters themselves went through on the show, and it only served to make Gilmore Girls a better program. Luke and Lorelai obviously had feelings for one another from the pilot episode, and because there was an element of realness to the equation, it played out on screen as well.

Even if the series deviated into different love affairs for the characters, they always had each other. The creators of the series also understood the importance of chemistry, as Luke’s role was actually beefed up because of the spark between Patterson and Graham. According to Us Weekly, the character of Luke was only supposed to be a one-off for the pilot, and his scenes were essentially meant to serve as a ” chemistry check “.

Obviously, both Graham and Patterson passed the test, and Luke was given the green light to become the full-time character that fans eventually grew to love. Luke was already going to be one of Gilmore Girls ‘ best characters because of his gruff-but-loveable personality, but his tantalizing relationship with Lorelai put him over the top.

Does Rory go to Harvard?

Storylines – Rory dreams of studying at Harvard University and gets accepted into the prestigious and fictional Chilton Academy, where she stays for her sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school. To pay tuition, Lorelai asks for money from her estranged wealthy parents, Richard and Emily,

  • They agree to pay for Rory’s education on the condition that the two come to their house every Friday night for dinner.
  • Before leaving Stars Hollow High School, Rory meets Dean Forester ( Jared Padalecki ).
  • Rory almost convinced herself not to go to Chilton because of not wanting to leave Dean, but after learning of the huge sacrifices her mother made, she decides to go to Chilton.

Rory and Dean date for two seasons, only breaking up once when Dean told Rory he loved her on their 3-month anniversary, and she replied that she would have to think about it, but they eventually reconcile. Dean escorts Rory when she is presented to society at a debutante ball hosted by her grandmother’s chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution,

During her time at Chilton, Rory becomes engaged in a feud with close academic rival, Paris Geller, Though the two later become friends, the rivalry continues into their university studies. Rory reluctantly runs for student government with Paris and wins, and writes for the Chilton paper, The Franklin,

When she meets Jess Mariano ( Milo Ventimiglia ), Rory begins to falls in love with him. They become friends first but start to date after Dean breaks up with Rory because he sees that Rory likes Jess. However, various problems make their relationship difficult.

  1. After Jess skips school to go to work at Walmart, causing him to be unable to graduate or to take Rory to Prom, Jess decides to leave to go to California to see his estranged father, effectively breaking up with Rory.
  2. Jess does not tell Rory he is leaving, but later calls and does not say anything on the phone, until Rory caught on that it was him and revealed that she might have loved him but would just have to get over it.

Later that year, still upset, Jess returns and tells Rory that he loves her and then leaves again. After graduating Chilton as valedictorian and with a 4.2 GPA, Rory goes on to attend Yale University, her grandfather’s alma mater, in season four—although her entire life she had wanted to go to Harvard—having decided that the benefits of Yale outweighed her dream of studying at Harvard.

During her freshman year, Rory resides at Durfee Hall and shares a dorm room with Tana, Janet, and fellow Chilton alumna Paris Geller, She moves to Branford College, the same residential college that her grandfather, Richard Gilmore, lived in, at the beginning of her sophomore year. There she shares a dorm room with Paris.

At Yale, Rory majors in English and pursues her interest in journalism; she wants to be a foreign correspondent and her role model is Christiane Amanpour, She writes for the Yale Daily News and is its editor towards the end of her studies. While at Yale, Rory reconnects with Dean, who married Lindsay (a fellow schoolmate), straight after high school, but it is soon clear that he impulsively did it as a rebound from Rory.

During the same period, Jess shows up unexpectedly at Yale to see Rory, and asks her to run away with him, but she refuses. Dean gets jealous but he and Rory grow closer and have an affair, during which Rory loses her virginity, Lorelai is angry and disappointed in Rory, who decides to leave for Europe with her grandmother for the summer to avoid conflicts.

Shortly after, Dean separates from Lindsay and the two continue seeing each other. Meanwhile, Rory makes the acquaintance of the heir to the Huntzberger Publishing Company, Logan Huntzberger ( Matt Czuchry ). She soon becomes interested in him and after Dean breaks up with her (she was detained at a party arranged by her grandparents to introduce her to the wealthy and eligible sons of their Yale alumni friends, including Logan), she makes the first move at her grandparents’ vow-renewal,

  • Their relationship begins casually as a “no strings attached” affair because Logan makes it clear that he does not want to commit to a relationship.
  • However, as time passes, Rory grows dissatisfied with their open relationship, and after a day of drunken introspection, she suggests they should end their sexual relationship and be friends because she is “a girlfriend kind of girl.” Logan interprets this as an ultimatum and unexpectedly agrees to date her exclusively.

At her first time to dinner at Logan’s family home, the Huntzbergers reject Rory as a fit girlfriend for their son because of her aspirations to work and her background. However, Logan affirms his commitment to their relationship, although the pressure exerted by the Huntzbergers continues to dog the couple.

To make amends, Logan’s father, Mitchum Huntzberger, gives Rory an internship at one of his newspapers, the Stamford Eagle Gazette, At the end of her internship, Mitchum tells Rory that she does not have what it takes to be a journalist, although she would make a good assistant. Upset and angry, Rory cajoles Logan into leaving his sister’s engagement party, held at a marina, to steal a yacht and vent her frustration.

When apprehended, Rory is sentenced to 300 hours of community service and rethinks her lifelong ambitions and current path at Yale. Her decision to take time off to consider her options precipitates the most sustained rift with Lorelai to date, beginning in the season five finale.

  • She moves into her grandparents’ pool house, joins Emily’s branch of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and begins working for the organization.
  • Rory and Lorelai barely speak for months and are only reconciled mid-season six, in “The Prodigal Daughter Returns.” Experiencing some problems with the restricted liberty of living with her grandparents, chiefly centering on her sexual relationship with Logan, Rory reassesses her life after another unexpected visit from Jess.

He has achieved something with his own life by writing a novel and he encourages her to see that her current choices do not suit who she really is. However, Jess’s visit and Rory’s subsequent realization that she is doing nothing with her life precipitate an argument with Logan and the couple are estranged for some time.

  1. Rory doggedly pursues her former editor for a job at the Stamford Eagle Gazette, takes on extra courses at Yale to make up for her time away, and is unexpectedly elected editor of the Yale Daily News, taking over from Paris.
  2. Rory and Logan reunite and cement their relationship despite his post-graduation spell working in London, England, and a failed business.

She cultivates new friendships with girls involved in the arts and drama, Olivia and Lucy, although these relationships become fraught when Marty, a friend who had a crush on Rory in an earlier season, is revealed to be Lucy’s boyfriend. Having been unexpectedly elected editor of the Yale Daily News, Rory’s tenure later comes to an end and leaves her feeling deflated.

She continues to work towards her goal, applying for the Reston Fellowship, to become an intern at The New York Times, as well as applying and interviewing for other jobs. She turns down one firm job offer, counting on getting the Reston Fellowship. When she is rejected, Rory is in turmoil, unable to concentrate on a final exam about John Milton ‘s epic poem, Paradise Lost, and generally experiencing great uncertainty about her future.

At Rory’s own graduation party, where it is revealed she graduated with honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa, Logan unexpectedly proposes marriage and asks her to move to Palo Alto, California, with him. She considers his offer but ultimately declines, suggesting they try to maintain a long-distance relationship.

She says that she relishes the openness of her life and the opportunities before her: marriage now would limit that. Logan, however, finds the prospect of “going backwards” in their relationship unappealing and issues the ultimatum that it is “all or nothing.” Rory wordlessly returns his engagement ring and Logan walks away.

As of the final episode, Rory had prepared numerous résumés to mail before going on vacation with her mother. When another reporter drops out at the last moment, she is offered a job as a reporter for an online magazine, covering Barack Obama ‘s presidential campaign and his bid for the Democratic Party nomination.

  • Luke throws a surprise graduation party for Rory, which closes out the series.
  • Nine years later, Rory is in a rut.
  • She has become a successful freelance journalist, but was fired from a job to ghostwrite a book, and gave up her apartment to stay in different places like New York, London, and Stars Hollow.

She has been dating a man named Paul for two years, but does not seem to be invested in their relationship. After breaking up with Paul, she also engages in casual sex, including with a nameless man in a Wookie costume. While jetting back and forth between America and London, Rory sees Logan on the side.
