Did Dumbledore want Harry to have the Deathly Hallows
Why would Dumbledore lead Harry towards the Hallows? – Dumbledore does not put Harry on the quest for the Deathly Hallows. He sends him on a philosophical quest. Through the moral of the tale, he wants Harry to understand that the only way to win against death is to accept it, not resist it.
Why does Dumbledore not wear robes in Fantastic Beasts?
Wondering why Young Albus Dumbledore was wearing a suit in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald? Well costume designer Colleen Atwood has an answer. – OK, so there is quite a lot about Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald that has made us scratch our heads wondering where on earth things are going.
It’s the beauty of J.K. Rowling’s wiring. She keeps you guessing right up until the end. From that shocking reveal at the end of the movie that has made us all go back and revisit the timelines to see if we missed something. To the appearance of a certain Hogwarts Professor that doesn’t look possible at all but there are some insane theories to suggest otherwise,
There is a lot going on that has made us seek answers. One thing that isn’t hugely important, compared to the other questions we have about Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, but has still made us wonder, is Dumbledore’s attire. Watch your favorite shows on fuboTV : Watch over 67 live sports and entertainment channels with a 7-day FREE trial! During Harry Potter ‘s era Dumbledore would be seen in billowing wizarding robes of fine detail and beauty.
- Whereas in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, he is suited and booted in a three piece number that wouldn’t go amiss at Oxford university.
- So why the change? Well costume designer Colleen Atwood has an answer for us all.
- FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Courtesy of Warner Bros.
- Pictures Our friends over at Hidden Remote got the full scoop while Atwood was attending Vulture Festival, and the reasons behind the decision makes perfect sense.
Here is a snippet of what she had to say: “We wanted to give it a sort of comfortable aristocracy: education, but approachability,” “We used materials and made them worn-in so they didn’t look like it was self-conscious.” “We wanted to convey an approachability to Dumbledore that he was the prophet everybody talked to in the school,” “I made it very kind of cozy so you felt like snuggling up to him and telling him a story.” You can get the full details from Hidden Remote here.
- So ultimately Atwood had the vision of making Dumbledore more approachable rather than as an authority figure.
- Which is, if you think about it, a smart move really.
- A teacher should be approachable.
- Someone you could talk to.
- Whereas once Dumbledore became headmaster that role changed.
- He would have still had to be approachable but more assertive than before.
And what Dumbledore choose to wear would have helped with this. A suit, worn and comfortable, to give a more approachable appearance, and huge, billowing wizarding robes of fine detail to give the sense of command and authority. How he aged so much is still beyond me however.

Severus Snape is a fictional character in J.K. Rowling ‘s Harry Potter series. He is an exceptionally skilled wizard whose extremely cold and resentful exterior conceals deep emotions and anguish. - As the series progresses, Snape’s character becomes more layered and enigmatic.
- A central mystery is unravelled concerning his loyalties.
- Snape dies at the hands of Lord Voldemort in the seventh book, at which time his back story is revealed.
- Despite his attraction to the Dark Arts and Voldemort’s ideology of wizard supremacy, Snape’s love for Muggle -born Lily Evans, Harry’s mother, eventually compelled him to defect from the Death Eaters,
He then became a double agent for Albus Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix, The fact that Lily chose James Potter, Harry’s father, only fuels Snape’s hostility towards Harry. Snape’s character has been widely acclaimed by readers and critics. Rowling described him as “a gift of a character” whose story she had known since the first book.
Why are the Weasleys poor?
Are the Weasleys actually poor? The Weasleys are not especially poor. It’s just that Arthur works at a comparatively low paying job at the Ministry, and has a huge family to feed. Molly is a housewife and does not add to the income. As to how poor they are, well, they are helped by not having to feed their children throughout the year.
I think, when its just Molly and Arthur at home, they get on fine, even manage to save up some money for the Christmas and summer holidays, when the kids come home. Summer is an especially hard time because of the need to buy school books and other items for up to five children at a time. As is evidenced in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Chapter 4: At Flourish and Blotts Harry enjoyed the breakneck journey down to the Weasleys’ vault, but felt dreadful, far worse than he had in Knockturn Alley, when it was opened.
There was a very small pile of silver Sickles inside, and just one gold Galleon. Mrs.Weasley felt right into the corners before sweeping the whole lot into her bag. Despite all this, the Weasleys do get along well enough. There is never a case of not having enough food to put on the table.
- In fact, Mrs.
- Wealsey is known for her wonderful cooking, always making enough to fill the stomachs of everyone at the table, and then some.
- There’s also the jackpot that Arthur won in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,
- The Weasleys spent that money to holiday in Egypt.
- If their financial situation was very tight, there would be no question of blowing the money away on a foreign trip.
