Does Harry regret leaving the UK
Prince Harry regrets leaving the royal family “without a doubt” as his life has become “much harder” as he and Meghan tirelessly work to build a new media empire in the States according to a PR expert. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have suffered a series of failed business ventures this year including the cancellation of their Spotify deal and being snubbed for an Emmy nomination, the Mirror reports.
- Harry’s controversial memoir Spare, which was released at the beginning of this year, has also seen a huge decline in popularity which has left many wondering if the Duke regrets his decision to step away from ‘the Firm’.
- Ieran Elsby, PR expert and Director of Media PR Global, told The Mirror: “Without a doubt Harry will regret leaving the royal family.
“There are undisputable advantages to being a part of such a distinguished family, which he will now realise he took for granted.” Harry and Meghan stepped down from the Royal Family in 2020, just 20 months after the Duchess became a member of the Firm (Image: AP Photo/Matt Dunham, Pool, File) Kieran explained that the sense of “heritage” and “tradition” that comes with being a royal is something that cannot be reproduced.
He said: “It’s about being part of a legacy that has shaped history. He needs to ensure he lands on the right side of history, as historically those who have left, haven’t.” Kieran added that the platform and influence that comes with being a part of the royal family is something the duke likely misses as it was easier for him back then to achieve his goals on a “larger scale”.
Since his decision to leave, experts have noted that it has become increasingly difficult for him to adjust to not receiving royal treatment. The expert said that Harry had been presented with some “major challenges” that he might not have “fully expected.” including the “relentless media scrutiny” that he and Meghan have faced since leaving the royal family behind. The Sussexes have struggled to make their own name outside of the royal family and no longer have guaranteed funding and security (Image: Chris Jackson – Pool/Getty Images) “The sense of duty and responsibility that comes with being a royal must have provided a deep sense of purpose.
Having a role that contributes to society is fulfilling.” Kieran opined that since the couple left ‘the Firm’ Harry has had to reassess his identity outside of being a royal, which is a path likely to be filled with personal discovery and possibly “moments of doubt”. He added: “The loss of official roles and patronages, which he was once deeply involved in, will have left a void in his life and embarrassment.
“These roles offered him a way to actively contribute to various causes. Adjusting to a new environment with different societal expectations and without the familiar support system of the royal family will have been much tougher than he ever imagined.” The expert claims that the recent peace talks that have supposedly been taking place between Prince Harry and his father King Charles could “bridge the emotional gap” that has emerged within his family since leaving his royal duties.
- Ieran concluded: “While we can only speculate about the extent of his feelings, it’s clear that the royal family has left an indelible mark on his life, and he must, at times, find himself missing the various aspects that come with that territory.
- He must regret leaving the family, you can see that his life has got much harder stepping down.” Get the latest celebrity gossip and telly news sent straight to your inbox.

Has Harry been stripped of his royal status
Titles – Harry and Meghan are still known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and it would take an act of parliament to remove their titles officially — something that hasn’t seemed likely at any point so far. They were stripped, however, of the style of HRH — His or Her Royal Highness.
Meghan, pictured here visiting the National Theatre, received its patronage from the Queen in 2019 but it was handed back in 2021. (Getty Images) They also had to leave the online branding of Sussex Royal behind, which they had used for their website and Instagram page. This was because they wanted to make their own money and no longer be funded by the sovereign grant in the same way, which meant they couldn’t be seen to be financially profiting from the word “royal” or their connection to the crown.
However, Harry has been associated from birth with the concept of being royal: it’s where his large platform and fame comes from. So it was inevitable — at least in some ways — that he would financially profit from this connection, not allowing the Sussexes to use the word “royal” just means that this happens indirectly.

Is Archie very white?
Like Prince Archie, I am one-quarter black and have spent my life dealing with my ‘invisible identity’ and have now welcomed baby into the world after months of speculation. Just like with the children, chatter has surrounded the potential name and gender.
- But unlike those pregnancies, the focus has also been on skin colour.
- That’s because baby Archie is the first ever non-white child to be born into the British Royal Family.
- Archie’s heritage is three-quarters white, one-quarter black, yet his skin appears white.
- Thanks to a very famous mother, most people will understand that even in spite of his appearance, he is a mixed race person, not a white one.
To call him anything else would be to erase Meghan, her ancestors, and all of their triumphs, challenges and experiences. I am also one-quarter black, but my half black, half white mother is not famous, so I have spent my life dealing with my ‘invisible identity’.
- My own pale skin makes me white-passing and ethnically ambiguous.
- It would be ignorant to pretend that this doesn’t come with privileges.
- I am shielded from a huge proportion of the discrimination mixed race people of darker skin-tones experience.
- Yet this pale skin of mine has never fitted quite right, because it disguises a part of me, and of my family, that I am incredibly proud of.
I don’t identify as white (how could I?), so resent when others do the same. Sometimes it is not done in malice, but in ignorance and presumptions that come from a society that all too often see things as black or white- literally! Other times, people have declared that I should call myself white because my skin is white.
- Educating people that white is not just a term for someone’s skin, but someone’s ethnicity, isn’t easy.
- There is also a long way to go in improving the way we refer to mixed race people.
- Terms like ‘only’, ‘just’, ‘part’ and ‘other’ are frequently used.
- These reduce the person down to fractions and portions.
Mixed race people are only half or quarter in their biology, never in their worth. Yet I still hear terms like half-caste and quarter-caste used. ‘Caste’ means pure, so using this name is the same as calling someone partly impure, dirty and unworthy of respect.
Is Archie really Prince Harry’s?
As the elder child of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Prince Archie has been in the spotlight since before he was born. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting a baby in October 2018 as they arrived in Australia for their first official tour as newlyweds.
The following May, the couple welcomed Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in London. When Archie was 8 months old, his parents announced their plans to step back from their royal roles, and the family moved from the U.K. to California. Since then, the family has settled into life on the West Coast, where Archie and his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, are growing up largely outside the public eye.
However, the family’s life in California hasn’t stopped Harry and Meghan from sharing the occasional anecdote about their young children. In 2022, Prince Harry told Today ‘s Hoda Kotb that Archie had inherited some of his cheekiness — and loved to interrupt Zoom calls.
- Archie spends more time interrupting our Zoom calls than anybody else,” he said of then-2-year-old Archie.
- But he often gets us off them, as well, so that’s also a nice thing.” These days, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are focused on their children.
- A California source told PEOPLE in August 2023 Meghan “just wants to focus on their kids and their life in Montecito,” adding that the couple “are very united when it comes to family values and how to raise their kids.” “They are both great parents,” the source continued.
“Their kids are their world.” From the meaning of his name to how his parents keep him connected to his late grandmother Princess Diana, here’s everything to know about Prince Archie of Sussex.
