The Goddess is Lucifer’s mother, one of the two co-creators of the universe, the mother of angels and God’s ex-wife. The Goddess was banished to Hell from Heaven by God due to her increasing hatred for mankind.

Who killed Lucifer’s mom

Answered By: James Roberts Date: created: Jul 20 2024

History – Charlotte Richards worked as a very successful defense attorney at Richards & Wheeler, a high-end law firm in Beverly Hills. Many of her clients were dangerous criminals whom she knowingly helped out of legal problems. She was married to Elliot Richards, and together they had two children.

  • At some point, Charlotte began having an affair with Brad Wheeler, her partner at the firm.
  • She was apparently committed to their relationship, to the point where Wheeler said she had stopped sleeping with her husband.
  • Before she was first murdered, she was working on a sensitive case with the FBI to bring Victor Perez’s cartel down.

The only other person at the firm who knew the details of the case was Liam Pickering. When Charlotte went to meet their informant, Marco Sanchez, at Hotel Gleam, Pickering murdered both of them with a screwdriver, in an attempt to frame Jimmy the Carpenter, Perez’s hit man of record, who unknown to Pickering, was already dead.

  1. Chloe and Lucifer investigated the case with Dan ‘s and Ella ‘s assistance.
  2. After this death, Charlotte’s soul went to Hell while Goddess takes over her body on Earth.
  3. While in Hell, Charlotte’s Hell loop has her waking up in the morning, and happily eating breakfast with her family.
  4. Only for a criminal that she kept out of prison to walk in and shoot her family dead.

During this sequence, all Charlotte does is smile, knowing that it is her fault the criminal is free. This loop repeats with a different person she has defended coming in each time. The experience left her with overwhelming guilt and remorse. In ” The Good, the Bad and the Crispy “, at Lucifer’s suggestion, Goddess departs Charlotte’s body to create a new universe for herself in the void,

As Dan rushes over to Charlotte’s body, she awakens, surprising Lucifer who thought that her body would remain an empty vessel. Apparently, Goddess resurrected the human Charlotte when she left, but Charlotte has no memory from the period that Goddess controlled her body. She is then taken away by paramedics who believe her fall from the Santa Monica Pier is the reason for her confusion.

In ” They’re Back, Aren’t They? “, Dan reveals that Charlotte does not remember him or their previous relationship, devastating him. Lucifer tries to reassure Dan that Charlotte’s behavior is neither his fault nor hers. In ” Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards “, Charlotte shows up at the penthouse, making him briefly believe that his mother has returned, only to be horrified when Charlotte kisses him.

  • Lucifer explains to her that they are not, nor will they ever be lovers, but admits that they do have a complicated history.
  • Finally broken, she confides in Lucifer she worries that she is going insane.
  • By putting together pieces of what she remembers, she guesses that she went to Hell, even though she believes she is a good person.

Following Lucifer’s suggestion, she cooperates with the LAPD by giving them video footage of the murder under investigation. Upon the realization that her actions while representing criminals led to her damnation, she decides to hold her clients hostage at gunpoint to uncover the murderer.

Lucifer intervenes, explaining that Simon killed himself as a way to expose the company for its crimes. Charlotte says that there are no loopholes in avoiding sin and states that her clients are guilty of poisoning their customers with their tainted pudding. In her hysterical state, she wants to shoot them, but Lucifer calms her down.

Unknown to Charlotte, Lucifer was able to record the incriminating conversation leading to her clients’ arrests. Later, Charlotte apologizes to Dan for her behavior towards him, and then she departs with Lucifer. At her apartment, she asks Lucifer what she was like during her lost time, to which he replies she was “Quite the handfulintense, jealous, hair-trigger emotions, and prone to making cosmically epic mistakes.

  • But everything that you did came from a place of love.” In ” Chloe Does Lucifer “, as part of her new outlook on life where she does good, Charlotte decides to take a job at the D.A.’s office, putting criminals in prison instead of helping them get away with their crimes.
  • In ” The Last Heartbreak “, Charlotte meets Amenadiel, who initially mistakes her for his mother, and he reveals a little about the goddess.

Later, realizing that she is no longer his mother, Amenadiel tries to tell her that during her amnesiac period she was a mother to him. In ” Orange is the New Maze “, Charlotte confronts Lucifer about everything Amenadiel said, and Lucifer reveals the whole truth.

Charlotte enters into despair thinking she is going crazy. Amenadiel and Lucifer decide to prove everything to her by having Lucifer display his wings. This shocking display causes Charlotte to feel relieved that she hasn’t gone insane. In ” Quintessential Deckerstar “, Charlotte works to prosecute Forest King Clay, a serial abuser from her early days as a lawyer, and a main source of all the guilt she experienced in her Hell Loop.

She works with Amenadiel to prove his crimes and eventually he is arrested for murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy, as well as domestic abuse. Charlotte is then shot and killed by Marcus Pierce, who actually intended to kill Amenadiel. She is then carried by Amenadiel to Heaven after his wings spontaneously return.

  1. In ” A Devil of My Word “, everyone is left grieved by Charlotte’s death, particularly Dan Espinoza who had loved her.
  2. Looking through her cases, Lucifer discovers that Charlotte was prosecuting a surprising number of dangerous criminals and Lucifer and Chloe.
  3. Dan uncovered the fact that she had investigated Pierce and discovered he was actually the Sinnerman, forcing Lucifer to admit that was the truth.

When Pierce then pretends to become emotional while talking about Charlotte, Chloe realizes that Pierce is lying and really did kill her. In ” Once Upon a Time “, which takes place in an alternate universe, created by God, in which Chloe never becomes a detective, a different version of Charlotte is shown.

  1. She was not killed in 2016, and thus never went to Hell,
  2. Therefore, she is still quite corrupt.
  3. She is, in fact, Lucifer’s attorney, but makes a deal with the now corrupt Detective Espinoza, to rob Lucifer’s safe.
  4. She succeeds in getting the money but encounters Maze who tells her to take it to live out her sinful desires, so long as she says why she was taking it.

When she did, Maze knew that by doing this, Charlotte was dooming herself to Hell. Maze then threatened to kill Charlotte and Dan if they were ever seen in Los Angeles again, the two escape together. In ” Expire Erect,” Eve tells Amenadiel that she ran into Charlotte while she was on her way out of heaven, and remarks that she was very lovely.

  • In ” Nothing Lasts Forever “, Goddess briefly returns to the universe and assumes Charlotte’s form even though she is no longer using a human vessel.
  • In ” Save the Devil, Save the World “, while reading Linda Martin ‘s book about Lucifer, Ella Lopez is shocked to discover that Charlotte was the Divine Goddess.

Lucifer comments that she was, but only “some of the time.” Now knowing the truth about everything, a hurt Ella tells Lucifer that she had lost her faith after Charlotte’s death, and none of her friends had told her that they knew that Charlotte was in Heaven.

  • At the same time, while trying to help Dan reach Heaven, Maze torments him about Charlotte’s death, thinking that his lingering guilt over it is what is keeping Dan trapped.
  • Dan says that is not what he is feeling guilty about.
  • He had indeed blamed himself for a while, but he now knows that her death wasn’t his fault, and he couldn’t have saved her.

Dan now finds it comforting to know that Charlotte is in Heaven. In ” Partners ‘Til the End “, it’s revealed that after Dan’s soul finally makes it to Heaven, he happily shares his eternity there with Charlotte, whom he begins a romantic relationship with.

  1. The character is based on the Devil from Christianity who has arisen to Los Angeles for a vacation from Hell with his ex-lover and companion, the demoness Mazikeen, to run a nightclub.
  2. The character was adapted for television by Joe Henderson as the showrunner for a series based on the Sandman character Lucifer, with Ellis tapped to play the titular role in February 2015.

Ellis’ performance has been particularly praised by critics and the character has become a fan-favorite among many. Ellis reprised his role as Lucifer in the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths, which thus establishes his series taking place in an alternate universe within the wider multiverse.

Is Lucifer’s mom evil?

Personality – Goddess was presumed to have once been completely benevolent before being banished to Hell by God. Even after that, She deeply cared about Her family, especially Her children as She was willing to see them again. She claims that the last thing She ever wants to do is hurt Her children.

When learning that they have found the final piece of the Flaming Sword, She was genuinely delighted and couldn’t hide Her excitement to see them once again. When learning about Uriel’s death, She was genuinely saddened and mourned over him. Her love for Her children was stronger than Her grudge towards God, as She willingly accepted Lucifer’s plan to leave and create another universe since returning to Heaven would only lead to a war that will get Her family killed.

She is completely fearless and has a strong conviction for who She is and what She deserves. After escaping Hell, She was determined to rebuild a relationship with Her two sons Lucifer and Amenadiel despite their skepticism. She is however somewhat blind to listening to their opinions, unable to accept that Lucifer was more comfortable on Earth than he was in Heaven and Hell, and that Chloe Decker was more to him than his entire family.

  • She was also sexual perverse, as evident when She appeared to enjoy flirting and perverting around humans, and She also claims that is where Lucifer got his desires for sex.
  • However, despite all these traits, Goddess true nature wasn’t without its downsides, as She was also cunning, manipulative, ruthless, hypocritical and unable to take responsibility for Her mistakes.

After somewhat regaining both of Her sons’ trust, she was driven to convince them to leave Earth and return to Heaven with Her, including using Uriel’s death as an excuse to convince Amenadiel that God only thinks of him as a pawn; and using God’s role in Chloe Decker’s existence as a reason to convince Lucifer into hating his Father even more.

She is ruthless when it comes to completing some of Her objectives, as She attempted to kill Chloe Decker to convince Lucifer in leaving Earth, and She tortured Linda Martin to learn what Lucifer was up to. Most of these negative qualities are because of when God banished Her to Hell, and was partially obsessed with returning to Heaven to vengefully destroy Him for what He did.

She also has a serious dislike for humankind, and thought of them as pathetic and sinful, especially referring Chloe as a “little bug”. This was proven as She willingly (and without a second thought) led a few humans to find Azrael’s blade so they could kill each other, all just to get God’s attention.

  1. Both She and Lucifer have different opinions of humans, as he sees them as fascinating and begins to genuinely care for their well-being, which repels Goddess with disdain as She cannot work out what he sees in them what She can’t.
  2. Despite this, as time time went on, Her experiences in Her human vessel have seemingly piqued Her interest in humanity to want to learn more.

She even calls Dan Her favorite human, showing that She has developed a somewhat better opinion of humanity than before. Her actions toward Dan suggest She had genuinely liked him. This proves that Her opinions can change. After a few years of creating her own universe, Goddess is shown to be content with her life and to even enjoy being the creator of her own world.

  1. Goddess comments that its not as hard as her husband made it seem, but God simply thinks that she’s better at it than he is and doesn’t find this fact to be at all surprising.
  2. Despite her previous animosity towards God for imprisoning her, when Goddess is actually reunited with God, she is happy to see him which proves to be mutual and they are quickly reconciled.

God proves to be eager to retire with his wife in her universe and to enjoy her creation for the first time instead of the other way around. Goddess also takes the chance to say a proper goodbye to Amenadiel and express her pride in him as a parent and to sooth his worries.

Is The Angel Lucifer’s Daughter?

Aurora Morningstar, commonly known as Rory, is a central character in Lucifer, She is the Nephilim daughter of Lucifer Morningstar and Chloe Decker, She was raised solely by her mother after Lucifer seemingly abandoned them before she was born, resulting in her resenting her absent father.

When Chloe eventually fell ill in 2060 and was on her deathbed, Aurora became more furious then ever that Lucifer didn’t show up to say goodbye to the love of his life and self-actualized the use of time-travel, arriving in 2020 before she was born, to kill her father in retribution. Arriving in Hell, Aurora freed Dan Espinoza to seek his aid, only to be betrayed once she returned him to Earth,

Despite this setback, Aurora was finally able to confront her father, but was unsuccessful in her attempt to kill him. Now stranded in the present with no way to travel back, Aurora bonded with the past versions of her family, all the while trying to avoid Lucifer, not willing to believe he loved her.

He ultimately proved his love, leading to their reconciliation. Aurora was eventually kidnapped by Vincent Le Mec on the day Lucifer was to disappear to kill Lucifer himself, but she was able to save her father and dissuade from killing Vincent by him. Aurora ultimately realized that she was the catalyst for Lucifer’s decision to leave Earth and become Hell’s Healer, effectively being in a time-loop.

Upon this realization and learning about the man Lucifer actually was, she made her father agree to never change his plans, which allows her to return to her Timeline, Having received the closure she needed, Aurora finally parted ways with Chloe, promising that she’ll travel to the afterlife to see her parents again.

Who is God’s secret wife?

Did God have a wife? Scholar says that he did God had a wife, Asherah, whom the Book of Kings suggests was worshipped alongside Yahweh in his temple in Israel, according to an Oxford scholar. In 1967, Raphael Patai was the first historian to mention that the ancient Israelites worshipped both Yahweh and Asherah.

The theory has gained new prominence because of the research of Francesca Stavrakopoulou, who began her work at Oxford and is now a senior lecturer in the department of Theology and Religion at the University of Exeter. Information presented in Stavrakopoulou’s books, lectures and journal papers has become the basis of a three-part documentary series, now airing in Europe, where she discusses the Yahweh-Asherah connection.

“You might know him as Yahweh, Allah or God. But on this fact, Jews, Muslims and Christians, the people of the great Abrahamic religions, are agreed: There is only one of Him,” writes Stavrakopoulou in a statement released to the British media. “He is a solitary figure, a single, universal creator, not one God among many,

  • Or so we like to believe.
  • After years of research specializing in the history and religion of Israel, however, I have come to a colorful and what could seem, to some, uncomfortable conclusion that God had a wife.” Stavrakopoulou bases her theory on ancient texts, amulets and figurines unearthed primarily in the ancient Canaanite coastal city called Ugarit, now modern-day Syria.

All of these artifacts reveal that Asherah was a powerful fertility goddess. Asherah’s connection to Yahweh, according to Stavrakopoulou, is spelled out in both the Bible and an 8th-century B.C. inscription on pottery found in the Sinai desert at a site called Kuntillet Ajrud.

“The inscription is a petition for a blessing,” she shares. “Crucially, the inscription asks for a blessing from ‘Yahweh and his Asherah.’ Here was evidence that presented Yahweh and Asherah as a divine pair. And now a handful of similar inscriptions have since been found, all of which help to strengthen the case that the God of the Bible once had a wife.” Also significant, Stavrakopoulou believes, “is the Bible’s admission that the goddess Asherah was worshiped in Yahweh’s Temple in Jerusalem.

In the Book of Kings, we’re told that a statue of Asherah was housed in the temple and that female temple personnel wove ritual textiles for her.” J. Edward Wright, president of both The Arizona Center for Judaic Studies and The Albright Institute for Archaeological Research, told Discovery News that he agrees several Hebrew inscriptions mention “Yahweh and his Asherah.” “Asherah was not entirely edited out of the Bible by its male editors,” he added.

Traces of her remain, and based on those traces, archaeological evidence and references to her in texts from nations bordering Israel and Judah, we can reconstruct her role in the religions of the Southern Levant.” Asherah — known across the ancient Near East by various other names, such as Astarte and Istar — was “an important deity, one who was both mighty and nurturing,” Wright continued.

“Many English translations prefer to translate ‘Asherah’ as ‘Sacred Tree,'” Wright said. “This seems to be in part driven by a modern desire, clearly inspired by the biblical narratives, to hide Asherah behind a veil once again.” “Mentions of the goddess Asherah in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) are rare and have been heavily edited by the ancient authors who gathered the texts together,” Aaron Brody, director of the Bade Museum and an associate professor of Bible and archaeology at the Pacific School of Religion, said.

Asherah as a tree symbol was even said to have been “chopped down and burned outside the Temple in acts of certain rulers who were trying to ‘purify’ the cult, and focus on the worship of a single male god, Yahweh,” he added. The ancient Israelites were polytheists, Brody told Discovery News, “with only a small minority worshiping Yahweh alone before the historic events of 586 B.C.” In that year, an elite community within Judea was exiled to Babylon and the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed.

This, Brody said, led to “a more universal vision of strict monotheism: one god not only for Judah, but for all of the nations.” : Did God have a wife? Scholar says that he did

Who is Lucifer’s favorite daughter?

261 reviews 1,038 followers September 24, 2022 So what all do you need to know about our girl Muriel Well she owns a bar. has some boy trouble. and. oh yah, she’s Lucifer’s daughter Muriel, the virgin daughter of Satan, has been saving herself for love with the perfect man while making her dad the literal laughingstock of hell. When suddenly. “Speaking of lust, look what just walked in. Three hot and sexy hunks. A come-fuck-me vibe practically oozed from their skin. This book was hilarious!! I just adored the style and the humor. Then add in some seriously sexy scenes with one yummy hottie and I was eager to keep reading! My favorite part about our heroine is that she has values and wants to be good – but is willing to fight to be that.

  1. I was kinda worried we were gonna get a shy wallflower,
  2. But instead we got a bloodthirsty princess of hell that is just doing things her way “I’m coming with you.” Auric moved to a cabinet against the wall.
  3. When he opened it, I almost clapped my hands in glee, for my handsome suitor had almost as many cool toys as I did.

Swords, knives, guns, and, yes, even a flamethrower. I could feel another piece of my heart swinging in his direction, and I had to stifle an urge to throw my arms around him and kiss him silly.” As the first of the reverse harem, Auric was a great fit who really kinda establishes himself as someone for Muriel’s to lean on. In this book there was only one main love interest for our heroine. Sure it impliedddddd we getting more in the series. But you couldn’t even start us with two?? But with our ONE love interest, the book really kept the chemistry and intensity building both in the casual flirting and fight scenes. i love love sexy banter both in and outta the bed, which made the climax of the book even better “He wore the same leather duster of the previous evening, and, once again, I enviously admired it. We have some interesting secondary characters from anxious dad, Lucifer, the teasing incubus sister, Bambi. But sadly we didn’t really engage much with, so I’m guessing they gonna be some recurring info-dumping type characters who will pop up as needed “For the world’s biggest slut, Bambi was an awesome big sister.

1,751 reviews 698 followers July 27, 2011 4 1/2 Stars Muriel, virgin daughter of Satan, has been saving herself for love with the perfect man while making her dad the laughingstock of hell. His incessant nagging gets on her nerves but it’s not easy finding the right guy.

  1. He can’t be 100% mortal or she’d likely crush him in the heat of the heat of the moment, he has to be super-hot and honestly not any old guy will accept Satan as a future father-in-law.
  2. She resigns herself to a future of longing and nagging,
  3. Muriel no longer lives in hell under Satan’s thumb but in a realm populated by humans and supernaturals that is very much like the mortal realm only with things like the “Damned” network and Survivor: Burn In Hell.

Sounds like a fun place to me! She owns a bar that is popular with the supernatural beasties because she is a “null” which makes the 100′ surrounding her a magic-free zone. One night, soon after another nagging visit from Satan, a hunk named Auric and his two gorgeous pals show up.

  1. She assumes Satan is testing her.
  2. But instead of wooing her, Auric is almost gruff as he demands to meet the owner of the bar.
  3. She refuses to answer him honestly, hell she’s been dodging assassins most of her life, but something about him fuels her lust as no other man has done.
  4. He’s hiding things as well but their connection is something neither can resist for long and once he kisses her he may just lose her virginity after all.

Though this story doesn’t hold any major surprises, especially when Auric’s secret is revealed, it was cute and pure sexy fun and so very easy to read. Muriel is funny and sarcastic and even though a virgin by choice, is not a prude. She can take care of herself but Auric, big He-man protector hasn’t a clue and assumes she’s a helpless little female.

  1. When he attempts to “save” her from a hellhound, not knowing she’s a daughter of Satan this fun exchange happens: My heart fluttered.
  2. He’d called me pretty.
  3. He’d wanted to protect me.
  4. How cute–but so unnecessary.
  5. I appreciate the thought behind it, but really, I can take care of myself.” “Even against hellhounds?” he said skeptically.

“Piece of cake,” I boasted. That wasn’t, technically, giving anything away. Lots of special folk could take care of hellhounds. “Just who and what are you?” asked Auric. His questions were getting repetitive. I rolled my eyes. “I told you, my name is Muriel.” Auric crossed his arms over his chest–did I mention he had a really broad chest?–and gave me a stern look.

Oh, please, once Satan gave you ‘the look,’ all other looks paled in comparison. I just glared right back at him ‘til he sighed with exasperation–another sound I was familiar with. This story wraps everything up in a satisfying way but it could have been another 300 pages and I bet I would’ve enjoyed reading more because I loved the writing style so much.

There aren’t a lot of writers I’ve found who can balance such strong sexual tension with a fun paranormal plot without their characters coming across as obnoxious or silly. This author succeeds for me and if these snippets make you grin you may want to check it out too.

  1. Satan is hilarious as a frustrated daddy.
  2. I don’t know why, but I’m attached to you, too,” Satan said grumpily, hugging me back.
  3. I cherished moments like that; they tended to be few and far between.
  4. Try to be bad,” he said, before popping out of sight.” And Muriel’s sense of humor just completely won me over “Rolling my eyes, I again had to question why men had to be so stubborn.

“Seriously, Auric, you do not want to mess with this thing.” “I’ve dealt with demons before,” he said, pulling out a sword from behind his kitchen counter. I had to admit being impressed–his sword was long, shiny, and hard. Wait, that didn’t sound right. 1,166 reviews 1,635 followers January 2, 2013 When Lucifer figures out who’s trying to overthrow him, there’s gonna be Hell to pay! In the meantime he has to deal with his incredibly rebellious daughter who’s driving him crazy with her embarrassing disobedience! He’s a laughing stock and worst of all, she refuses to give up her virginity, insisting she’s waiting for the right man to come along – someone she (*gasp*) loves.

Heavy sigh* Where did he go wrong? Auric is hot and alpha and if he hopes to have a future with Muriel, he’ll have to stand up to her father, Satan himself, and Auric is just the man to do it! The bottom line – Lucifer’s Daughter is a fun, humorous, light story that’s easy to read and had me grinning at some of Muriel’s antics and thoughts.

It’s a great start to the Princess of Hell series and I’m looking forward to reading more! If you’re looking for something different, something with tongue in cheek humor and a good dose of sexual heat, give this short, unique story a try!

2011-reads 4-stars first-in-series-trilogy-duet

2,986 reviews 868 followers August 11, 2017 This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance In Lucifer’s Daughter we have a beginning of a series that took my breath away and is very rare for a freebie on amazon. But its Eve Langlais so I don’t know why I am so surprised. I will say that this is NOT a book to take seriously. Folks.just laugh and cry along with this story because its meant to have fun with and entertain.

In this book we have a story about a young woman, who doesn’t quite fit in to the norm of what is expected of her. Muriel is Lucifer’s daughter, and unlike her siblings, she doesn’t want to go down the dark and dreary path of hell. She is a virgin, and is waiting for the right man and for love. Her father is appalled that his beloved daughter is so unlike him.

And the one man that Muriel falls madly for, is the last man that Lucifer would ever choose for his daughter. This was a highly entertaining book that kept me laughing and lively all the way through. I do not mind the whole “virgin” element at all, I feel like its rarely used anymore and it definitely worked for this book.

  1. We see a heroine that is striving to mostly be “good” and she wants a lasting relationship and not mindless sex that has no meaning.
  2. So brava for her, its what is important for her and she stands her ground and I loved that about her.
  3. She isn’t afraid of standing up for what she believes in and I admired this quality in her.And her relationship with her father is so hilarious.

I love seeing how they interact with each other. “You’re making me look like a bad parent. My minions in Hell are mocking me. There have even been rumors I’m no longer fit to be the Father of All Sin since I can’t even control my own daughter.” “Whatever happened to being rewarded for rebellions against our parents? I thought that was a huge sin.” “Rebelling with kind acts and the truth wasn’t what I had in mind!” Lucifer’s brows shot up.

  • What do you mean you just talked? Where is this idiot? I’m going to have a talk with him about defiling my daughter.
  • Maybe he needs pointers.” “Dad!” I squealed.
  • That is so gross.
  • And he doesn’t need any help.
  • I told you I’m not having sex until I’m in love.” I truly had a blast with this book because it had plenty of smexiness, laughter, adventure and suspense and a teaser in the end but our couple gets their happy ending.

The only downside I had for this book, was after reading learning about the rest of the books in the series that revolve around this heroine. I am not sure if I will continue in the series, since each book she adds on a new man to sleep with. And boy am I super picky about menage set ups and not sure it will work for me but I am so curious about what will happen with the villains in the story. Have you read Eve Langlais before? Do you like her style of writing and diversity in romance? What are your thoughts on virgin characters in romance? 1,849 reviews 96 followers August 14, 2017 FREE on all platforms today! 8/8/17 _ Review: The book is actually kind of funny and great. I was super into it until we started declaring ILYs so quickly. I didn’t like that, I would have liked to have seen them work for it especially with Auric being kind of an asshole to her.

  1. Still the plot is ok for a 79 paged book.
  2. If the book had more development and less superficial feelings this could be really good.
  3. See Muriel is Satan’s daughter.
  4. And a virgin to boot.and there is some unrest happening in Hell.
  5. So while this is going on Auric and his band of merrymen show up.
  6. He’s kinda a dick and then does like a 180.

IDK the whole thing I enjoyed really, all of it, up until they started declaring feelings without having shown us, the reader, their feelings. Sure they told us but they never did show us. Anyways I’m all for suspending belief and all that but it was going so well because I could see this being a series and then by next book we could put them together.

485 reviews 432 followers February 7, 2014 What does every father want from his daughter? Good grades at school. Nice overall behaviour. No lying. No whoring around. Waiting for love before giving it up. Well someone better send this particular father the memo because he obviously missed it.

  1. Sadly (or not) that’s to be expected when you are Satan’s daughter.
  2. Muriel is the embarassment of the family.
  3. A good girl in a bad world.
  4. She doesn’t lie much, she doesn’t deceit, she doesn’t even sleep around.
  5. Poor old daddy has become the butt of every joke in Hell.
  6. But a girl must do what she has to in order to survive in the unforgiving world of bad creatures.

This is not a “serious” book. No one would ever read it for its literally value. It is a comical depiction of Satan and his minions with his “nice” daughter as a protagonist. It actually reminded me the movie Little Nicky where Adam Sandler plays Devil’s failure of a son.

738 reviews 134 followers June 25, 2013 This book was such a pleasant surprise. I have read Eve Langlais books before and while they were enjoyable, I also found them shallow. This book really notched her up in my opinion. An intriguing idea, daughter of Satan and not only his daughter but his virgin, “undefiled” daughter.

  1. I loved Muriel, a great character.
  2. Having Satan as a father made for some very amusing moments.
  3. It wasn’t bad enough you got straight A’s in school.
  4. Oh, no,” he said, warming up.
  5. You just have to be a virgin too.
  6. You’re twenty three years old.
  7. It’s just wrong”, she shouted.” I raised you to be more evil than this.” and No respect, which would usually make me proud, but you’re not following through with vile acts.

You’re making me look like a bad parent. My minions in Hell are laughing at me. There have even been rumours I’m no longer fit to be the Father of All Sin, since I can’t even control my own daughter. ” I was chuckling out loud and loved that Muriel sticks to her guns.

This is not a long story, I read it in one sitting. It was incredibly easy to get into. Auric, you will find out all about him, was a great hero and romantic interest for Muriel and I loved the mystery surrounding him. All in all this was a great, sexy, paranormal romance book for me. Very satisfying. I will be reading more of this series.

I received this book from Netgalley for my honest review. 714 reviews 172 followers January 30, 2011 Lucifer’s Daughter is a witty sexy and fun to read. Eve created a fun and exciting world and the main star is no less than the Princesses of the devil herself Muriel. I really enjoyed this book, but again I love reading books that make me laugh and enjoy the lighter side of things.

Eve hit the nail on the head and made the perfect daughter for Satan. She is rebellious and values her virginity among other things. Until a hunk entered her bar, but wait this is no ordinary hunk he is special, you’ll have to read and find out who Auric really is and way he makes Satan mad for being around his daughter.

I loved the fun characters and the whole over throw Satan storyline. The action and hot wicked sex made the book flow really well. Now, on to the next daughter of Satan’s adventure. This book is in Muriel’s POV.If you’re an urban fantasy reader that likes some erotic romance please give this a try.

598 reviews May 3, 2019 This book was just meh for me. I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. But I just didn’t. There wasn’t enough keeping me interested in the story really. Muriel is the daughter of Lucifer. She’s part human and she’s Lucifer’s favorite child.

  • Of course he denies this because he’s got a reputation to uphold.
  • And even though she’s his favorite child he’s also trying to corrupt her because she a virgin. Yes. A virgin.
  • The child of the Devil himself is a virgin and holding herself out for love.
  • Of course she meets her man and it’s love at first sight.

Which I must mention I absolutely hate. The two of them spend most of this book together fending off demons who are trying to kill her to get at the devil. There’s a rebellion brewing and they’re gunning for Muriel since she’s Lucifer’s favorite. But she’s powerful and her power only growsw througout the book. 484 reviews 41 followers February 11, 2017 3,5* I enjoyed it, especially the beginning. And every time the devil showed up. And. well, that might be it. Nothing too special or too clever – story line is quite plain, characters aren’t too deep and plot twists aren’t too twisty.

Heroine and her dirty mouth (story is told from the 1st person perspective) made me a bit uncomfortable as I love listening audio books while I’m walking, shopping or doing other ordinary things, so hearing about. um. a lot of thinks. made me blush. I don’t know what people would think of me if they find out what I’m listening to.

So having in mind that the story was simple yet naughty, I enjoyed it a bit too much. Seriously, what’s wrong with me? Even loosely adopted gods and deities didn’t bother me. And I’m one of those who might get fussy when history and mythology is concerned. 1,529 reviews 200 followers February 11, 2021 I’ll be honest, I only finished this because I thought the interactions with Lucifer were hilarious and amazing. But I found Muriel to be a vapid, TSTL, flakey chick who talked a big game but actually was a damsel.

  • And I thought Auric was meh.
  • A cardboard cutout alpha male.
  • He actually says “I’m an old fashioned male, so from now on I get to call the shots” which made me roll my eyes so hard I think I got a brain bleed.
  • And Muriel didn’t argue that at all, which tells you all you need to know about her.
  • I like Lucifer, but I doubt I’ll read onward,

even he isn’t enough to make up for the mess of these main characters.

3,434 reviews 294 followers January 23, 2021 I meant to try this for ages, but then I got to try the audiobook and was in at once. Muriel is the devil’s daughter, and hey the devil seems really nice. At least around her. He seemed like a big weird softie.

  1. And he was very disappointed by her lack of sinning.
  2. Because Muriel wants to wait for love, and is not into the whole spread evil thing.
  3. Though neither does anyone else, hell seems to be more like, sin is good, but humans can do it on their own.
  4. And actual hell sounds good too, if you are not Stalin or someone, the normal sinners are just there.

I got off track, but it was a fun world, the devil was really nice. Muriel was nice. There is humour, some slaying of evil dudes, cute hellbeasts. And of course the romance. I am not big on insta, but it works, this woman has waited for 23 years to get her groove on.

For a normal woman that would be ok, but for someone who was always bombarded by her weird family to get her freak on. No wonder she wanted to wait for the one. And in comes Dark tall and mysterious. Lust at once, romance at once, though there is this time where I wanted to kick him, grrrr, that you even thought that man! A good narrator, I have listened to her before and she sits well in this book.

It works great in audio, you really get the fun of things

129 reviews 40 followers August 18, 2016 My Review: All Muriel wants is to have a normal life and the chance to find love; her one and only who’ll finally rid her of her pesky virginity. What’s wrong with wanting to wait for love anyway? Well one person finds the idea revolting.

Of course Satan wouldn’t want these sort of life’s pursuits for his daughter, a Princess of Hell. He wants a sinner, a daughter who’ll defile her body, outsmart him with cunning lies and disobey him at every turn. Instead he’ll have to take pleasure in the one fact that Muriel doesn’t want to wait to get married to loose her virginity.

And if that’s all the sin he’ll get then he’ll take it. While Muriel does wish for normal, this area of her life proves to never work according to plan. Running her bar Nexus, Muriel had once thought to appeal to the locals, humans more specifically. Instead, Nexus became the number one hang out place for the seedier underworld locals.

This she can handle but her love life? Forget about it. Having an unattainable list of requirements for the one, Muriel risks the chance of never finding love but her luck is soon about to change when a gorgeous leather-clad, hulk of man proves to be everything she’s ever wanted and more. Now if only she can subdue the pesky demon assassins that have chosen this exact moment in time to overthrow her dad in Hell.

The inconvenience of all could effectively curtail a romance that feels more than meant to be. The Heroine: Muriel is sassy, caustic, stubborn and brave. She’s a person who knows herself and is strong in her resistance to fall for anything short of her ultimate desires.

She loves her family, most especially her father and she doesn’t care what being the daughter of Satan makes her except when it interferes with her love life. Men tend to run screaming at the discovery of her parentage except for Auric, the leather-clad, sword-wielding hottie couldn’t care less who Muriel’s father is.

For the first time Muriel is met with total acceptance, love and chivalry. What woman wouldn’t melt in the face of that? The Hero: Auric’s a man of few words and Muriel’s vivaciousness and coy games leave him more than speechless. He’s a man who doesn’t change his mind once a decision has been made but Muriel has him rethinking his way of life within hours of meeting her.

  • For the first time he finds what it means to live again and fights for every opportunity to make Muriel his forever.
  • My Final Thoughts: LUCIFER’S DAUGHTER is a well written short that moves steadily with just the right amount of mystery to keep you flipping the pages.
  • Its characters are bold and unique enough to hold their own against the melee of grays that effectively toss out the stark white and black lines of good verses evil.

Langlais effectively talks readers into tossing out all our preconceived notions of Lucifer and his typical role in the paranormals of today as well with his heart and his role as a father who just wants to see his children happy. There’s a distinct undertone of humor to LUCIFER’S DAUGHTER, a modernness that makes you think this is all occurring down the street of every day life.

  • And Muriel resembles everyday girls with her dreams to find her one and only and live happily ever after.
  • It’s especially heartening to read of heroine that will not let her dreams go even in the face of powerful adversity.
  • The mystery of Auric was my favorite.
  • It sneaks up on you, well at least it snuck up on me.

I had no idea he would turn out to be who he is and I have no intention of divulging his identity here. The mystery is too fun and nicely played out in the novella. For paranormal lovers who require an eclectic mix of characters tossed with some steam and a dash of Lucifer, look no farther than LUCIFER’S DAUGHTER.

2,735 reviews 333 followers February 7, 2017 This review was originally posted on (un)Conventional Bookviews Lucifer’s Daughter is Fun, feisty and with enough action to keep you compelled and immersed in the story from start to finish. Any time I pick up a Langlais book, I’m pretty sure I’ll get lots of humor, lots of sexy hotness, and a good story to entertain me. That’s also what I got with Lucifer’s Daughter, Muriel was a hoot, and her being a virgin made dear old daddy Satan mad! She really needed to sin more – if not, people might think he was failing at being bad.

Muriel had decided to wait for love before sharing herself fully, though, both because a lot of guys would do anything to tap Lucifer’s Daughter. and others would do anything to kill her. Enter Auric and his friends, and the chemistry went through the roof! As did the fun and the action. Someone was staging a coup in Hell, and they weren’t averse to using Muriel to do so.

Good thing her magic was getting stronger every day, and when she was attacked, she was faster than the devil himself 😉 Needless to say, Lucifer’s Daughter was a hoot! It had all the action, a lot of goofiness, hot smexiness and a good story, too. I can’t wait to come back to this series soon, and I’ll continue with the audio version, as Rebecca Estrella did a really good job with the narration. “Sorry, I got hung up or I’d have been here earlier. I made sure I made it for closing, though. I didn’t want the streets to suffer if you walked alone.” “For the world’s biggest slut, Bambi was an awesome big sister. And no, that wasn’t an insult; Bambi took pride in winning the title year after year.”

2,306 reviews 724 followers May 11, 2011 Muriel owns a bar, has boy trouble and just happens to be Satan’s daughter. She is a princess of Hell, but loves the color pink much to her father’s dismay. She got straight A’s through school and at 23 is still a virgin.

This makes the devil weep. He wants his daughter to be evil! To do dirty deeds! Instead, she is waiting to have sex until she falls in love and is very happy being a bartender. When three very smexy men come into her bar one night, one of them, Auric catches her eye. Very physically attracted to him, he doesn’t even run screaming when she finally admits who her dad is.

Auric has secrets though, and every time they get around to what he is, he changes the subject. Auric starts to follow Muriel around, making sure she is safe (although being Satan’s daughter – she is pretty kick-ass herself.) When Muriel realizes someone is trying to overthrow dear old dad, she becomes a target.

Lucifer’s Daughter is a very cute, light-hearted paranormal novella that I read in one sitting. Told in Muriel’s point of view, she is quite snarky and humorous. Especially when we first meet her father, Satan: “It wasn’t bad enough you got straight A’s in school. Oh, no,” he said, warming up. “You just have to be a virgin, too.

You’re twenty-three years old. It’s just wrong,” he shouted. “I raised you to be more evil than this.” I love that although her dad is the devil but he really does care for her, although he might not always show it. Her mother ran off when she was young and they have this deep father-daughter bond that is really cute throughout.

Auric is very sexy and we get some erotic scenes that are very hot. I will say although I love their chemistry and attraction, Muriel makes such a big deal that she has to be in love before she has sex, and I think the love declaration felt really rushed in this. It didn’t feel like enough time elapsed for them to really be in love.

But overall a really cute, quick story. Rating: B

857 reviews 79 followers August 16, 2010 LynnMarie’s Review Where to start? First, the smoking hot cover caught my attention, then the title, and finally the blurb. So I had high expectations before even starting to read Lucifer’s Daughter. Let’s just say I was not disappointed! Eve Langlais decided on a first person perspective for this book, in Muriel’s point of view.

It was a bold move that paid off and suited the story, a mix of paranormal romance and urban fantasy, perfectly. My attention was captured from the beginning, until the end. The humor was to die for and you couldn’t get a better character than Muriel. She’s Satan’s daughter, the princess of hell, and proud of it.

No, she’s not evil, even still a virgin, but she’s seriously kick ass and knows how to survive on earth and in hell. I won’t spill Auric’s true identity, as it’s not revealed until the second half of the novel, but they’re a perfect match for each other.

Though Muriel is one chick not to be messed with, she can easily admit to herself that she enjoys a take-charge man willing to protect her. I loved Muriel’s inner dialogue throughout this story. She’s an honest character that I couldn’t get enough of. We get to see her in action, as well as her softer side.

The entire cast of characters, from interfering dad, Lucifer, to incubus sister, Bambi, they each brought a unique flavor to the novel. Things take an exciting twist when it’s up to Muriel to make an impossible choice. There’s a power war in hell that threatens Muriel and anyone she cares about. 257 reviews 73 followers March 6, 2012 Ok so here’s the deal: the book isn’t BAD and I can see why its got good ratings and stuff. I liked the idea and even some of the characters, but the thing is, there is no chemistry between Eve Langlais and I. You know how sometimes you come across a book that you REALLY enjoy reading even if it wasn’t the greatest and the idea isn’t that original.

Well its probably because of the authors writting style. And that’s exactly what happened to me here, but opposite. I just didn’t enjoy the way the author writtes. And I’m NOT saying she’s a bad writter, because there is a reason she’s so freaken popular. People LOVE the way she writtes! And I’m sure many, many others have enjoyed her books.

But I just can’t say I am one of them. I feel a little guilty cause I have been wanting to read this for the longest time, and it just didn’t click with me. It was too rushed and plain. The characters felt too 2 dimentional and undeveloped, and there wasn’t a part of the story where I felt its grip at all.(Again, this is my personal opinion).

Since this is my second book by her, and I feel the same way about both, I shall read no more books by Eve Langlais. Why? Because I don’t think its fair to bring down her ratings if I already know she’s not the writter for me. People seem to be drawn to bash authors they already have a history of not liking, and complaining about the same thing in every book of theirs they read.

Well let’s break the cycle! I wish her the best, and I hope many other people enjoy her books.

197 reviews 20 followers December 11, 2011 I was very intrigued to read this book and did not know what to expect when I got and I have to say I was happily surprised. I did not expect this book to have so much humour since it was about Satan and his daughter.

  1. This book not only had some very hot and steamy scenes but some laughing out loud moments that I actually had to suppress my laughter one day as I was reading the book on the train on my way to work.
  2. As the title states this book is about Satan’s daughter but she is far different than you would have expected.

For one she is a a good girl and despite being Satan’s daughter and having the ability to use her powers to command others she lives a pretty normal existence. That is until 3 gorgeous looking hunks walk into her bar and one of the captures her heart.

  1. Auric is tough and powerful and has an aura of self-confidence but Muriel doesn’t know what he is and he isn’t about to mention it.
  2. What happens next are passions are unleashed between the two but unfortunately factors stand in the way towards there happiness, namely Muriel’s father, someone trying to kill Muriel and Auric’s past.

The story was fast paced and had enough action both under the sheets and above to keep the reader’s attention and intrigued. What happens in the end will have the reader wanting more and to know what is going to happen next not only between Muriel and Auric but within the depths of Hell.4.5 Stars

5,254 reviews 196 followers September 11, 2017 Yes, yes, yes. If you are looking for a enjoyable and funny reading experience than you have to check out this book. I am excited to see that there are many more books in this series as I am going to check them out.

  1. Muriel won me over right from the beginning.
  2. She is probably the only one that can get away with standing up to Satan.
  3. Her other sister, Bambi is right that Muriel is daddy’s favorite.
  4. Speaking of Satan; who knew that he had a heart.
  5. I mean how many other fathers would want their daughters to get their “cherry” popped.

Satan was even nice enough to offer to give Muriel pointers for the bedroom. Than there is the sexy Auric. The one that gives Muriel her wet dreams. He made everyone else disappear when he was around. His aura was that strong. Muriel and Auric kept things hot. 2,527 reviews 208 followers May 19, 2019 Muriel is a goody two shoes for the most part, and it drives her father insane. Especially the fact that she’s still a virgin. Who is Muriel’s dad, oh it’s only Lucifer, AKA Satan. While working at her bar one night, a super hot dude comes in and makes Muriel’s panties melt (She actually says that).

  • Could it be true love? Will Muriel finally give up her virginity? I liked the supernatural aspect of this story: the demon fighting, the coup in Hades, and seeing Muriel take down some bad guys was good fun.
  • I wasn’t super sold on the romance though.
  • While I did like Aric and I liked his relationship with Muriel, it felt like it moved a bit too fast.

There wasn’t enough tension or slow burn for me. The fixation on Muriel giving up her virginity was quite annoying as well. Aric also did a bit too much of the macho bullshit and when he kept telling Muriel he was going to protect her or she wasn’t to get involved in things because they were dangerous, I rolled my eyes so DAMN hard.

598 reviews 13 followers January 12, 2011 Another winner from Eve Langlais. I really like her books that involve good, evil, and all things that go bump in the night. Maybe I’m reading too much into this stuff, but what is really drawing me to Langlais’ books is that nothing is black and white.

  1. This book is a perfect example.
  2. This story has a common enough theme: falling for a person from ‘the wrong side of the tracks’.
  3. But what’s great about it is that I’m not sure who is the one from the wrong side.
  4. And that makes me think about how a lot of thinks in life are like that.
  5. Also, evil was not necissarily evil and good wasn’t necissarily good.

Of course we’ve seen this before in some places (movies, stories, etc) but I think it was done really well in this book. I don’t know. I can hardly wrap my mind around the ‘greater themes’ of this story. I have to say, above all else what I like best is that these books start with well known myths, assumptions, mythical characters etc and then show how when you look deeper they’re notexactly what they seem to be.

5,107 reviews 543 followers November 16, 2015 Muriel is the devil’s daughter, the daughter who is a constant embarrassment and despite her father, Lucifer’s, constant pushing to be bad, she just isn’t bad enough. Muriel lives on the human plain as owner of Nexus bar which is a haven to others like her, most have no clue as to who she really is though.

There is also something very special about Muriel, she still is a virgin and holding out for love. When Auric walks into her bar, she feels that he maybe the one she has been waiting for. Auric however is evasive about who he is and with hell in turmoil and trying to take down her father, Muriel is a target of the demons.

Auric is by her side but once she figures out who he really is will she be able to keep him by her side? Very fun. I wasn’t sure how I would like this one, has been on my TBA for awhile. Loved her interaction with her dad, they had a humorous banter going on.

788 reviews 239 followers May 13, 2013 My friend recommended me this book, and with her brief introduction about the character types, I was ready to buy and read this book. Once I got started, I fell in love, really, IN LOVE with the set up. It was too rich and and just plain awesome.

  • The Heroine, Satana, is such a badass and her father, Satan – real funny guy.
  • Unfortunately, the thrill I felt at the start of the book did not last until the end of the book.
  • The problem is, what started as a clever setup of Satan’s daughter, striking out on her own, turned into a sappy, heroine-saves-everyone-because-she’s-such-a-badass.

It just stopped being cool by the end, because it moved too fast with little character development, humor or intersting plot. It was just so tragic, so I rated this a 3. Ok, I guess, it desearves a 4, but since I was so disappointed after being so excited about this book, I couldn’t rate it any higher.

Muriel is amazing! If I was a man I would fall in love with her! She’s sexy as Hell (Ha! sorry), witty, stubborn and I loved her from the beginning! Auric is hot, sexy, sweet, caring and although I needed some time to get to like him, now I do like him very much! I’ve also found Lucifer pretty amusing! A very different, weird, funny image of the Devil.

Lucifer Morningstar is a fictional character and the protagonist of the TV series Lucifer, He is portrayed by Tom Ellis, Neil Gaiman’s Lucifer was partly inspired by David Bowie, but the show’s creators decided against trying to mimic Bowie. Tom Ellis saw the character as a sort of Oscar Wilde or Noël Coward character “with added rock and roll spirit”, approaching his portrayal as if he were the “lovechild of Noël Coward and Mick Jagger, with a dash of British actor Terry-Thomas “.

  1. Lucifer is a fallen angel who, after leading an unsuccessful rebellion against Heaven, was banished to Hell by God to serve as its Lord.
  2. Lucifer resents his father for this, and his mother for having done nothing about it.
  3. Lucifer’s angelic name is Samael, meaning “Wrath/Venom of God” (prophetic of his fall from grace), whereas his name of choice, Lucifer, means “Light Bringer”.

In 2011, Lucifer became bored with his life, so he abdicated his throne and relocated to Los Angeles to open a high-end nightclub called Lux. He was assisted by John Constantine in retrieving Mazikeen from Hell so she could continue serving as his bodyguard.

Lucifer later repaid this debt by helping Constantine and his allies recover Oliver Queen ‘s soul from Purgatory, After five years, Lucifer becomes a civilian consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department in the pilot episode, while still running Lux. Lucifer is open about his identity as the Devil, always telling people who he is.

However, few take his claims seriously unless he shows them his “Devil Face”: his true, demonic appearance (the embodiment of his negative emotions), which he usually does to frighten evildoers. Lucifer is highly sexual and is irresistible to most people.

As a fallen angel, Lucifer possesses several supernatural traits and abilities. He has superhuman strength, enough to throw a grown man several yards or hold an accelerating car in place (if he is adequately braced). Lucifer is immortal and his human body is highly durable; he can withstand gunfire or walk through a burning building without harm.

He can, however, be injured by Mazikeen’s mystical hell-forged karambit blades or the Blade of Azrael, which all celestial beings are vulnerable to (later revealed to be the main part of the legendary Flaming Sword ). Lucifer originally had a pair of angelic wings, which he had severed by Maze when he arrived in Los Angeles.

  • These wings grew back at the end of season two (leading to the revelation that angels can Self-actualize, literally).
  • The wings are as durable as Lucifer’s body; they can resist gunfire and, when flapped, can generate a wind strong enough to knock down a human.
  • Lucifer also possesses the supernatural ability to make people reveal their hidden desires by simply making eye contact and asking them.

It is neither hypnosis nor telepathy, and is dependent upon whenever the person it is being used upon is a simple or complex person: the more complex a person is, the more they can resist, and the more time and effort is needed to overcome their resistance.

  1. An added caveat is that Lucifer must maintain eye contact with the subject, and only Chloe Decker has been shown to be fully immune to the effect.
  2. Lucifer’s principal weakness is that he becomes vulnerable to harm whenever Chloe is close to him or in his immediate vicinity.
  3. If he is mortally injured when Chloe is nearby, it is possible for him to die just like any human.

This effect even renders Lucifer susceptible to minor cuts or painfully stubbing his toe. Once Chloe is far enough away from him, Lucifer’s body regains its durability. However, in the pilot episode, he was still invulnerable near Chloe, and he did not begin to lose his durability until after a moment of emotional vulnerability, where Chloe sees the scars on Lucifer’s back, where his wings were.

Chloe’s presence does not deprive Lucifer of any of his other supernatural traits, such as his strength. This suggests that Lucifer’s physical vulnerability is a manifestation of his emotional vulnerability when-&-where Chloe is concerned. Lucifer is shown to have a complicated relationship with his family.

During season 1, his brother Amenadiel tries to force him to return to his throne in Hell, but he steadfastly refuses to comply with his father’s wishes. When the container holding his wings is stolen in the episode “Favorite Son”, Lucifer goes to great lengths to recover them, only to set them on fire as a sign of his rebellion against God’s wishes.

  1. However, in the season finale, Lucifer prays to God to save Chloe’s life after he is shot, willing to do anything in exchange.
  2. God gives him a vision: Lucifer’s mother has escaped Hell and it is his duty to bring her back.
  3. Season 2 shows his complicated relationship with his mother.
  4. While he initially intends to help her return to Heaven (so she and his father will destroy each other), he finally decides to send her to another universe, where she can create her own world free from God’s influence.

His wings are restored in season 2’s finale, but he severs them again in season 3, seeing them as God trying to impose his will on him, but resigns himself to them after finding that they reappear every time he cuts them. On Earth, Lucifer creates a connection with Detective Chloe Decker, who’s immune to his abilities.

  • In the first-season episode “Manly Whatnots”, he encourages Chloe to shoot him so she would have proof he is the Devil, but the bullet wounds him, which is the first instance of Lucifer becoming vulnerable to physical harm when she is around.
  • His growing feelings for her confuse him at first until he finally accepts he is in love with her, though he is unable to articulate his feelings.

After Chloe kisses him in season 2 episode “Stewardess Interruptus”, he discovers she is the result of a miracle performed by Amenadiel on God’s orders and pushes her away for her own good. In season 3, he has to deal with the new precinct lieutenant, Marcus Pierce.

  1. When he discovers Pierce is Cain the first murderer, he agrees to help him find a way to die in order to annoy his father, but backs off after Chloe is put in danger.
  2. He also struggles with his feelings for her when she starts dating Pierce, and his inability to express them.
  3. Midway through the season, he also loses his Devil Face.

In the penultimate episode, “Quintessential Deckerstar”, Lucifer and Chloe kiss again after he confesses his feelings for her. However, this happens just before he kills Cain and recovers his Devil Face, which Chloe finally sees in the season finale. In season 4, Lucifer has to deal with the aftermath of Chloe finally learning the truth and the return of Eve, his first-ever lover.

Meanwhile, Amenadiel learns that Linda is pregnant with their half angel son. Due to Chloe’s betrayal, Lucifer resumes his relationship with Eve, who claims to be in love with him and accepts him for who he is. As the season progresses, Lucifer’s growing hatred of himself cause his angel wings to become demon wings and he gains a more demonic alternate form.

At the same time, a priest, Father Kinley, reveals a prophecy that Lucifer and his first love will unleash evil upon the Earth. Meanwhile, with Eve at his side urging him on, Lucifer slips back into old habits, going as far as brutally crippling a criminal, but he later realizes he does not like who he is around Eve and breaks up with her.

In the season finale, after Eve kills Kinley and summons the demon Dromos into his body, Lucifer has to rescue his nephew, Charlie, Linda and Amenadiel’s newborn son from Dromos and his demon allies, using his full demonic form (in full view of Chloe) to scare the demons into returning to Hell. Chloe finally accepts Lucifer completely, even after seeing his demonic form, and admits her love for him.

However, Lucifer decides to return to Hell to keep the demons in line, recognizing that Chloe was his true first love all along, not Eve. After a tearful goodbye and last kiss with Chloe, Lucifer uses his wings, angelic white once again, to return to his throne in Hell.

In season 5, Lucifer returns from Hell to confront his twin brother Michael, who attempts to steal his identity, leaving Amenadiel in his place. He later learns from Amenadiel that God relieved him from his duties as the guardian of Hell and moves forward with his relationship with Chloe. Lucifer and Amenadiel later confront Michael and Maze (who has turned against Lucifer), but the fight is stopped by God’s intervention.

After mending his relationship with his father, Lucifer battles with Michael for the right to succeed him, eventually winning and being recognized by his siblings as the new God. In the final season, Lucifer (who is unsure about assuming his father’s place) is attacked by Rory, a half-angel who is later revealed to be his and Chloe’s future daughter, and who is angry with Lucifer for abandoning Chloe before she is born and never returning because of reasons her mother never revealed.

Lucifer spends most of the season bonding with his daughter while trying to find out what drove him to leave her and Chloe; in the midst of this, he realizes that he is not fit to become God and relinquishes the position to Amenadiel. In the series finale, Lucifer discovers that he has the ability to redeem lost souls from Hell upon realizing that Dan ascended to heaven thanks to his advice.

To ensure that the timeline is unaltered, Lucifer is forced to say goodbye to Chloe and Rory and return permanently to Hell, working as a therapist to help the humans there to ascend, and reuniting with Chloe after her death.

What happens to Lucifer’s son?

I’m around. I’ll be in every drop of falling rain, every speck of dust that the wind blows, and in the sand, in the rocks, and the sea.(.) And those answers will be in each of them. Maybe not today but. someday. People don’t need to pray to me or to sacrifice to me. They just need to know that I’m already a part of them and to trust in that. I won’t be hands on. Chuck put himself in the story. That was his mistake. But I learned from you and my mother and Castiel that. when people have to be their best. they can be. And that’s what to believe in. Well. I’m really as close as this. Goodbye.

Jack Kline (b. May 18, 2017) is the son of Lucifer and Kelly Kline, He is the first and only known Nephilim to be sired by an Archangel, Jack was taken in by Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester who would teach him how to master his powers. During this time, Jack played a role in the resurrection of Castiel who he had chosen as his father.

Jack would leave the Winchesters and Castiel to go off to master his powers, in an effort to prove he is good he would search for a way to rescue Mary Winchester for her sons. Jack would be sent to Apocalypse World where he’d rescue Mary and they fight out off many angels to protect a human colony. Wanting to free the Apocalypse World from Michael’s reign, Jack would form a resistance composed of humans to stand against the angels.

In the months that followed, Jack would see many victories over the angels before he was reunited with Sam, Dean, and Castiel. Jack also met his biological father Lucifer and his uncle Gabriel, He was unsure of how to deal with this but decided to hear his father out and even got on good terms with him.

Jack believed that with his father, he could defeat Michael. However, his close status with Lucifer raised concern from the Winchesters and they soon put a stop to it in the evacuation of Apocalypse World by leaving Lucifer trapped. Lucifer however returned and offered to take Jack to the stars where they could go on a father-son journey across the known universe.

Jack at first accepted immediately but after seeing Lucifer’s true malicious self he disowned him as his father. In retaliation, Lucifer stole Jack’s grace, leaving him powerless. With Lucifer poised to destroy everything, Dean became the vessel for the Apocalypse World Michael and killed Lucifer in battle to Jack’s great relief before Michael took control of Dean and departed, loose upon the Main Universe,

In the time after his loss of power, Jack spent time adjusting to being human as he waited for his grace to return. However, he also felt worthless as he couldn’t stop Michael but overcame it by using his basic hunter knowledge to help out. It was also shown that he was experiencing an illness but didn’t know what was causing it though withheld this from everyone.

After Dean returned, Jack went on a case with him and did very well but his illness finally took hold. It was discovered because his grace kept his body intact, Jack’s body couldn’t sustain without it and he was dying. After being given grace of his uncle Gabriel and being helped by Rowena MacLeod, Jack’s body was giving out.

Jack soon died and went to Heaven but he left his Heaven to enter his mother’s heaven where he finally connected with her. However, Jack was pursued by The Shadow who sought to claim him but because of the Winchesters and Castiel, Jack was resurrected and returned to Earth. Later after a final confrontation with Michael he kills the archangel before consuming his grace and restoring his powers.

However, Jack’s soul had burned out and his actions caused the others to worry about his condition. When Jack killed Mary Winchester, he sought to redeem himself by creating new angels but it didn’t help and he was locked away by the Winchesters. Jack escaped and roamed Earth before he was confronted by the Winchesters who intended to kill him but stopped.

  1. This resulted in God returning to Earth and personally killing Jack and plunging the world into chaos to punish humanity for the defiance.
  2. Jack was sent to The Empty where he awoke.
  3. His corpse is subsequently used as a vessel by the demon Belphegor to help the Winchesters after he escapes from Hell.
  4. However, Castiel smites Belphegor with considerable power after learning that the demon intends to use the Winchesters to gain power for himself.

This second smiting burns Jack’s corpse into a charred skeleton. To keep Jack safe, Billie keeps him hidden in the Empty until God leaves the Earth after recovering his full powers. Once God is gone, Billie resurrects Jack and provides him with a plan to eventually become strong enough to kill God, though he must hide and not use his powers until he’s ready so as not to draw God’s attention to him again.

  • Initially resurrected soulless, Jack’s soul is restored by the Garden of Eden after he visits through the Occultum,
  • Jack later reveals that he is being turned into a bomb that will cause God and the Darkness to cease to exist, but which will also be fatal to Jack himself.
  • After Sam prevents the plan from coming to fruition upon discovering that Billie is making a power play, Jack detonates in the Empty, but survives the experience.

However, Jack is left powerless once more as a result. Left as the only survivors upon an otherwise empty Earth, the Winchesters and Jack team up with Michael and, reluctantly, a resurrected Lucifer to defeat God. After the second death of Lucifer and the betrayal and death of Michael, Jack absorbs God’s power and becomes the new God, the effort to turn him into a cosmic bomb having also made Jack a power vacuum that sucked up all of the power around him, including from the fights with Michael, Lucifer and Chuck.

As the new God, Jack resurrects everyone that Chuck had wiped from existence, but decides not to take a hands on role in the world, feeling that that was Chuck’s mistake. Jack subsequently releases Bobby Singer from Heaven’s dungeon and with the help of a once again resurrected Castiel, reshapes Heaven for the better.

However, after Dean’s subsequent death, a new threat emerges in the form of the Akrida, a failsafe left behind by Chuck to destroy everything in case he failed. Discovering this threat, Dean defies Jack’s rules against direct interference to help the Monster Club stop the Akrida.

Who is Lucifer’s brother in the Bible?

Subscribe to Men’s Health – Credit: Men’s Health While the various allegories regarding the two change depending on the version of the Bible, it’s the Book of Revelation where comic creator Neil Gaiman (and subsequently the show’s writers) must’ve gotten inspiration for Lucifer and Michael’s storylines, which was in 1990’s The Books of Magic #1,

In the book, it depicts an epic war between Michael and Lucifer, signaling the end of time and the battle between good and evil. In this allegory, Michael leads God’s army against Lucifer’s (which makes sense, since he’s already rebelled against Him), defeats him and once again throws Lucifer and his followers out of Heaven.

While this explains their relation to each other in the Bible, sorry folks—they’re most definitely not twins. In fact, the idea of angels being considered family is shown nowhere in the Bible. But, given the fact the Bible believes all angels are somewhat descended from God, the assumption that Lucifer and Michael are siblings is not far off. What angel is Lucifer’s brother?

Sharing a face with you! Guess what. When your twin is the Lightbringer, turns out you have no choice but to live in the shadows.
— Michael to Lucifer Morningstar in ” Family Dinner ”

Michael, formerly known as Mi-ka-el, is a central character in Lucifer, serving as the hidden primary antagonist of Season 1 as well as the primary antagonist of Season 5, He is an Archangel and the elder identical twin brother of Lucifer Morningstar,

  • After growing envious of Lucifer’s renowned reputation and status as the Lightbringer, Michael secretly instigated his twin into carrying out nefarious acts, which includes the rebellion against God that resulted in his banishment to Hell,
  • Thousands of years later, unbeknownst to Lucifer or any of his siblings, Michael began manipulating their Father with the intention of having Him retire so that he could finally claim the Throne of Heaven and thereby prove to himself and everyone else that he’s better than Lucifer.

Michael’s plan soon became twofold after growing jealous of the praise Lucifer got from their siblings after he returned to Hell at the expense of his own happiness, and ventured to Earth, intent to prove he hasn’t changed, Attempting to impersonate his twin, Michael infiltrated the LAPD before eventually being exposed by Chloe Decker,

When Lucifer returned, Michael’s face was scarred so he couldn’t impersonate him again. In retaliation, he manipulated everyone in Lucifer’s life, forming a temporary alliance with Mazikeen in the process. After successfully luring God to Earth by starting a fight with Lucifer and Amenadiel in the precinct, Michael was formerly banished by God from returning.

When Heaven ‘s throne became vacant following God’s decision to retire in Goddess ‘s universe, Michael recovered the Flaming Sword and rallied the majority of Angels against Lucifer. In the midst of his preparations for war, Michael orchestrated Dan Espinoza ‘s death as part of a final plot to convince his brother to surrender; after this fails and results in conflict, Chloe is killed by Michael during his final battle with Lucifer.

Michael was eventually defeated after Chloe is resurrected by Lucifer and is granted super strength by the Key, Michael is then given a second chance by his twin, who used the Flaming Sword to sever his wings, successfully forcing him to bend the knee and recognize his twin as Heaven’s new sovereign,

Following the conclusion of the war, Michael was imprisoned in Hell and tasked with scrubbing the floors as its janitor.

Lucifer is a fallen angel who, after leading an unsuccessful rebellion against Heaven, was banished to Hell by God to serve as its Lord. Lucifer resents his father for this, and his mother for having done nothing about it.

  • Lucifer later repaid this debt by helping Constantine and his allies recover Oliver Queen ‘s soul from Purgatory,
  • After five years, Lucifer becomes a civilian consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department in the pilot episode, while still running Lux.
  • Lucifer is open about his identity as the Devil, always telling people who he is.

However, few take his claims seriously unless he shows them his “Devil Face”: his true, demonic appearance (the embodiment of his negative emotions), which he usually does to frighten evildoers. Lucifer is highly sexual and is irresistible to most people.

  1. As a fallen angel, Lucifer possesses several supernatural traits and abilities.
  2. He has superhuman strength, enough to throw a grown man several yards or hold an accelerating car in place (if he is adequately braced).

These wings grew back at the end of season two (leading to the revelation that angels can Self-actualize, literally). The wings are as durable as Lucifer’s body; they can resist gunfire and, when flapped, can generate a wind strong enough to knock down a human. Lucifer also possesses the supernatural ability to make people reveal their hidden desires by simply making eye contact and asking them.

  • However, in the season finale, Lucifer prays to God to save Chloe’s life after he is shot, willing to do anything in exchange.
  • God gives him a vision: Lucifer’s mother has escaped Hell and it is his duty to bring her back.
  • Season 2 shows his complicated relationship with his mother.
  • While he initially intends to help her return to Heaven (so she and his father will destroy each other), he finally decides to send her to another universe, where she can create her own world free from God’s influence.

  1. In the first-season episode “Manly Whatnots”, he encourages Chloe to shoot him so she would have proof he is the Devil, but the bullet wounds him, which is the first instance of Lucifer becoming vulnerable to physical harm when she is around.
  2. His growing feelings for her confuse him at first until he finally accepts he is in love with her, though he is unable to articulate his feelings.

After Chloe kisses him in season 2 episode “Stewardess Interruptus”, he discovers she is the result of a miracle performed by Amenadiel on God’s orders and pushes her away for her own good. In season 3, he has to deal with the new precinct lieutenant, Marcus Pierce.

When he discovers Pierce is Cain the first murderer, he agrees to help him find a way to die in order to annoy his father, but backs off after Chloe is put in danger. He also struggles with his feelings for her when she starts dating Pierce, and his inability to express them.

  1. In season 5, Lucifer returns from Hell to confront his twin brother Michael, who attempts to steal his identity, leaving Amenadiel in his place.
  2. He later learns from Amenadiel that God relieved him from his duties as the guardian of Hell and moves forward with his relationship with Chloe.

  • Lucifer spends most of the season bonding with his daughter while trying to find out what drove him to leave her and Chloe; in the midst of this, he realizes that he is not fit to become God and relinquishes the position to Amenadiel.
  • In the series finale, Lucifer discovers that he has the ability to redeem lost souls from Hell upon realizing that Dan ascended to heaven thanks to his advice.

To ensure that the timeline is unaltered, Lucifer is forced to say goodbye to Chloe and Rory and return permanently to Hell, working as a therapist to help the humans there to ascend, and reuniting with Chloe after her death.
