So it makes sense he would do whatever he can to limit damage to his voice. What I didn’t like was the acoustics at the Staples Center. There was so much echo that it was very difficult to understand his spoken words.

And it really detracted from the music and the overall joy of the show. It might be a great venue for basketball and hockey games, but I definitely cannot recommend going there for musical entertainment. Next time, I’ll wait for a smaller venue. They stayed there the rest of the night. The usher sitting next to me (and her boss) refused to ask them to sit down and told me “they can stand against the rail” – even though that put them directly front of us and blocked our view. We got to see MB a few times when he came down the runway, but for 90 minutes of the two-hour concert, we just stared at the backsides of the folks who HAD SEATS right in front of us but refused to use them.
