She later accidentally kills local resident Danielle Jones ( Lauren Crace ) by running her down in her car; conspires with Peggy’s husband Archie ( Larry Lamb ) to defraud the Mitchell family from their ownership of The Queen Victoria public house ; and becomes a prime suspect in Archie’s murder investigation (see Who Killed Archie? ).

It’s possible that, in an attempt to secure some attention from him and distract him from Linda, she may have made up something about their unborn baby.

The pair have recently had their 12-week scan to ensure everything is running smoothly with the pregnancy, so perhaps Janine pretends something is wrong. Could the wicked lie come back to bite her though if the news she receives later is in fact a serious update regarding the baby? It could be that Janine may have lost the baby, but will she tell Mick? Knowing Mick is a committed family man, Janine has established that the baby will probably ensure he sticks around instead of going back to Linda.

Veronica “Ronnie” Branning (also Mitchell ) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera, EastEnders, played by Samantha Womack, She and her younger sister Roxy Mitchell (played by Rita Simons ) were introduced by executive producer Diederick Santer in July 2007.

Ronnie is described as the “ice” to Roxy’s “fire”. As an extension to the already established Mitchell family, Ronnie quickly became a prominent character, taking over the square’s local nightclub. She later formed an on-off relationship with her business partner, Jack Branning ( Scott Maslen ). The character is introduced during the episode first broadcast on 24 July 2007.

Her first major storyline saw Ronnie clash with her villainous father, Archie ( Larry Lamb ), after it transpired that he forced his eldest daughter — at the age of 14 — to give up her newborn baby just moments after she gave birth. This escalates in ” The Secret Mitchell ” and ” Who Killed Archie? ” scenarios, wherein the former explores Ronnie’s friendship with her employee Danielle Jones ( Lauren Crace ) — who later turns out to be her long-lost daughter — and the latter reveals that Archie had raped Ronnie when she was 13.

  1. Soon afterwards, Ronnie becomes the subject of a controversial storyline where she swaps her dead baby with that of Tommy Moon — the son of her close friend Kat Moon ( Jessie Wallace ).
  2. This contributes to the development of Womack leaving the role in 2011, with the character departing in the episode shown on 7 July 2011.

In May 2013, show bosses announced that Womack would return to EastEnders as Ronnie for six months. Womack returned on screen for two three-month-long stints, from 9 September 2013 to 1 January 2014 and from 3 March to 23 June 2014. She then returned full-time to screens on 25 September 2014.

Womack’s second stint on the show saw Ronnie involved in storylines such as killing Carl White ( Daniel Coonan ) in self-defence, marrying Charlie Cotton ( Declan Bennett ) and having a child with him, having an affair with Vincent Hubbard ( Richard Blackwood ), attempting to poison Dean Wicks ( Matt Di Angelo ), being stalked by Andy Flynn ( Jack Derges ), and remarrying Jack before drowning along with Roxy in a hotel swimming pool.

In August 2016, it was reported that Ronnie and Roxy would depart together in a “dramatic exit”. The sisters were killed-off on 1 January 2017 after Ronnie’s second wedding to Jack, although Ronnie appears on-screen for a final time when Jack visits her corpse on 19 January 2017.

Why was Janine’s baby sick

Answered By: Timothy Barnes Date: created: Nov 16 2023

Baby Angela | Fandom Do you think the baby got sick because she didn’t have human contact or because she didn’t have contact with her birth mother? I guess because she did not have human contact, but I believe that contact with her mother helped her stay healthy faster.

If it was the contact with another person, I believe it would take more time and not just one night.1 Baby Angela got sick because that story arc needed closure. Babies don’t get sick or better solely because of contact with humans (unless said humans are carrying disease, but I digress). These can be mitigating factors however and human contact can aid in healing.

It’s odd that for all its anti-science stances, that Gilead hospitals had isolation level precautions in place for handling Baby Angela. I guess they maybe thought it was something infectious? But even still. Ultimately she got sick cause it was a nice way to create a moment of beauty and remind us of the human connection between mother and child that Gilead is severing.

Baby Angela’s illness is a metaphor for the sickness in Gilead that stems from separating baby from its mother. It’s not a real medical condition but a nice allegorical one. (edited by Contextisforkings) I didn’t think of it that way. I hope that isn’t the last we see of Janine though. She’s an interesting character.

Or so I think.1 Yes, babies can get sick from being seperated from their mother. I had surgery 2 months after I gave birth to my daughter and had complications from said surgery. My mother took care of my baby while I was in the hospital and recovering for 3 weeks.

  • My daughter got ill and had very bad diarrhea and a low grade fever.
  • My mother took her to the doctor who told her it was caused by stress from seperation.
  • She remained ill till I was able to care for her.
  • Within 1 day she has no fever, the diarrhea had stopped and she was a happy baby again.
  • So yes, it most definitely could be from separation from the birth mother.

Actually yes babies can get sick due to lack of mother’s physical contact. Take premature babies for example, when they’re born they place (most of the time) the preemie baby on the mothers bare chest under her gown so the baby can breathe in the mother’s natural antibodies thru skin.skin to skin belly to belly chest to chest and that’s another reason breastfeeding is so important.not only do u lose alot when you lose a drop of breastmilk but it, too, has the antibodies the babies needs to develope their immune systems and that’s what made all the difference for Janine and baby “Charlotte” lol so before any person tries to reply with “babies don’t get sick from lack of contact, its story closure!!” you may want to open a book lol Looks like Contextisforkings hasn’t done any research,
