How old is Tyler in Coronation Street

Answered By: Connor Morris Date: created: Oct 22 2023

We thought we’d seen the last of Tyler Jefferies after he terrorised Simon Barlow and his family last year – and now he’s at the centre of the Amy Barlow pregnancy drama after being revealed as the dad. Seventeen-year-old Tyler previously terrorised Simon on Coronation Street after the pair broke into elderly Flora McArdle’s flat, and Simon turned him in to the police.

Tyler, played by Will Barnett from Warrington, showed Simon the force of his anger after Simon talked to the police about the burglary both teens were involved in. When the lads found out elderly Flora had inherited £250,000 from her beloved son Harvey, they hatched a plan to break into the corner shop flat where she has been living with lovebirds Daniel Osbourne and Sinead Tinker.

But it went horribly wrong when Flora returned home and disturbed them, and Tyler threw a jewellery box at her, knocking her unconscious. Tyler fired at Peter (Image: ITV/Coronation Street) Simon stayed to make sure she was okay until help arrived, but was shopped to the police when Flora revealed that he was in the flat, despite protests that he had fallen in with the wrong crowd like her late son. Tyler Jeffries with Simon Barlow (Image: ITV) But sadly Tyler’s true motives became clear when he slips the sandwich under the gate of number 1 Coronation Street and poor Eccles the beloved pet Barlow dog became a target. Eccles was seriously and it was revealed that she ate the sandwich laced with slug pellets.

Luckily she survived, but then Simon’s dad Peter was next in the firing line when he was shot by Tyler with a paint gun because of the feud and sent Simon a menacing text to say “next time it will be a real bullet”, aimed at leaving troubled teen Simon afraid of standing up in court. But Simon did the right thing and has been a reformed character ever since, and Tyler served two months behind bars.

Luca’s role in the soap was actually revealed last week by his dad, Mike Toolan, who radio listeners may know for his current role on Hits Radio drivetime show with Gemma Atkinson. He shared pictures of his son appearing to have a great time on the famous, Salford-based street with Dylan actor Liam.

The pair could be seen posing on the cobbles outside the iconic Roy’s Rolls while another snap showed them getting cosy with Liam Connor actor Charlie Wrenshall. Sharing the pictures to Instagram, Mike wrote: “Luca has been unveiled as the new baddie (Mason) on @coronationstreet. Absolute dream come true for him.

@liammccheyne here and all the amazing Corrie cast and crew have made him feel so at home.” He then sweetly added: “Unbelievably proud of him.” Luca with his new co-star Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan Wilson in Corrie (Image: ITV) Taking to his own Instagram, Luca shared the same images as he revealed: “There’s a new kid joining the cobbles – Mason Radcliffe.” He added: “It’s an honour to be a part of a show that I’ve grown up on that has some of the warmest and most talented people.

Thank you to everyone that supported me, you know who you are. Thanks God always. And my bigger smaller brothers Liam and Charlie.” And in his first interview since joining the show, Luca has revealed all about how he got the role, sharing that the news he’d bagged the part of Mason came on a ‘difficult day’ for him.

“My agent sent me through the self-tape – a self-tape for people that don’t know is just recording yourself at home with your phone,” the new soap star, 19, said when discussing how he got the role of Mason. “When I submitted it, they liked it and then I got asked to go for a recall and screen test, which I did with Liam. Luca with his dad, radio host Mike Toolan He eventually found out he got the part, saying he was “elated” at the news. He said: “It was such a difficult day because my dog had died in the morning and I’d literally been at the vet crying whilst putting them down.

A few hours later we went out for a pub lunch to cheer us up and my agent called me and said ‘I’ve got some good news’. “As soon as she said that I knew it. Corrie has always been on my horizon, I’ve always said I wanted to be in it and then when they finally tell you that you’ve got the part, it was insane.2 And the first person he told? His dad.

“First thing I did was ring my dad. I didn’t actually tell anybody about anything, not even the first self-tape, because I’m very superstitious. I also didn’t tell him about the screen test so he was surprised,” Luca said. “Obviously he knows I’m into acting, but he was like, ‘What? What do you mean?# Because usually I tell him about all my auditions, and this was the first one I didn’t.” He added: “He was just in complete shock.

Does Ashley in Corrie have a baby

Answered By: Jonathan Harris Date: created: Jun 09 2024

What happened to Ashley Peacock? – Ashley and Maxine struggled to conceive, with him undergoing fertility treatment. On the night of his surgery, a drunken Maxine slept with local GP Matt Ramsden (Stephen Beckett). She discovered she was pregnant shortly afterwards, casting doubts on the baby’s parentage.

  1. When Ashley found out about Maxine’s affair, the shock induced her labour and she was rushed to the hospital where baby Joshua was born prematurely.
  2. After debating whether to take a DNA test, Ashley realised Maxine was genuinely sorry for having slept with Matt and decided not to take the test, raising Joshua as his own.

Their domestic bliss was tragically interrupted when Maxine was murdered by Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) in 2003, leaving a grief-stricken Ashley raising Joshua alone. But grief doesn’t last very long in soapland and Ashley hired Claire Casey (Julia Haworth) as a nanny the following year, falling in love with her.

The couple tied the knot on Christmas Day in 2004 and welcomed a baby, Freddie, in 2006. That same year, Ashley’s father Fred had a stroke and died, leaving the butcher shop to his son. Ashley and Claire managed to keep afloat despite some financial difficulties. After deciding to move to France for a fresh start in 2010, Ashley was killed in a tram crash, ultimately being crushed when The Joinery roof collapsed on him.

Has Nathan Graham left Corrie?

Monday 3 October at 1:56pm As James Bailey prepares to leave the cobbles of Weatherfield behind in Monday night’s episode actor Nathan Graham talks about his decision to leave, his pride at being part of the soap’s first black family and why there was one keepsake he had to take with him when he left.

When you joined the show with the Bailey’s. Did you have a length of time in mind that you wanted to stay? I hadn’t put a time frame on it no, I am the sort of person who lives in the moment and goes with what feels right. When it came to my decision to leave I mean it was very difficult, it was a tough thing to decide, obviously for various reasons.

Going from a place of security to not know what is next is scary and a risk. But then also it was just the right decision and it felt right. I had a good chat with Iain MacLeod and he understood my decision. I have had some great storylines and I did wonder where the character could go next so I felt it was time to go and do something different for me.

  • At this moment in time I only have myself to think of and that is the time to step out of your comfort zone.
  • Once you are settled down with responsibilities and a family to think of it isn’t as easy to make that leap.
  • What was it like filming your final scene? It was strange as my actual final scene of James leaving was filmed a few weeks before I finished filming so I had James’ departure which was emotional and then a couple of weeks later my own final moments so it was a bit of a double whammy really.

It felt like I got to say goodbye twice Did you feel sad? Yes it was emotional and I did fill up. I am so close to my on screen family so I know I will see them all again but that was my last time being part of the on screen Bailey family. There were a lot of similarities between James’ departure and my own, he is sad to be going but is excited about his future and so am I.

  • James’ family are upset he is leaving but can see this is an exciting new chapter for him so they are pleased for him and that was the same with Trevor, Lorna, Ryan, Vinta and Channique so it felt very real.
  • What are your highlights of your time on the show? I guess from the very beginning when we all met for the first time as a family.

It was such a special thing, it had taken a long time for the casting process to make sure they got the chemistry right and find a family unit, almost a year I think. So I can remember the first day we were all there to work together and then we did a publicity event to introduce the family and it all felt so surreal.

  1. We all just got on so well from day one.
  2. It felt like such an exciting time and there was such a buzz in the building.
  3. We are proud to have been the first black family on the street, the reaction was amazing.
  4. For me I also had the story about James coming out.
  5. It was such an honour to be given the opportunity to tell a story like that.

For both stories I was excited, we all were but there was also a certain amount of pressure that we all felt to get it right. We all felt very grateful but we just wanted to deliver. Were you glad when you were going but you weren’t killed off? Yes, they gave him a heart attack so they could have killed him.

  1. I was fully aware of the fact that once you have decided to leave it is out of your hands and they can do whatever they want for the character to go.
  2. So I was pleased when I found out that it was a happy ending for James and it is nice to know I could potentially come back in the future to see the family.

Were you glad that you got to meet the mysterious DeeDee before you left? Yeah, I feel like it would have been really frustrating if she arrived just after I left. I was pleased that we got to play some fun scenes together as part of my exit storyline.

  1. Channique is great and I was so pleased to be able to meet her and be part of the family with her for a couple of weeks.
  2. She has brought a different dynamic into the mix and I look forward to watching her settle into the family, she has made her mark already! It already feels like she has always been a part of the family.

It will be like reverse roles, because she’s there and now we’ll be hearing all about James and how he’s doing so that’ll be fun. Do you have any specific plans for the future? I am just going to take things as they come and roll with the punches. You know, it sounds cliche, but I just feel at the end of the day if you put the hard work in it eventually pays off.

I don’t expect anything from anyone I don’t expect to walk into a job. It can be a difficult process and I understand all that. I think it’s just knowing it’s a journey. It’s a process. I am a big believer in what is meant for you won’t pass you by. I will keep my foot on the gas and see what happens. You come into this career to play different characters, that’s the exciting thing about it.

So have you taken any keepsake of James’s with you? I did yes, they told me I could take some stuff from his wardrobe so I have got a few pairs of trainers and of course I couldn’t leave without his Weatherfield County shirt as a keepsake with his name and number on the back but I don’t think I will be walking around wearing it.
