Show key events only Please turn on JavaScript to use this feature And that’s Week 8 done and dusted – thanks again to Hollie for standing in yesterday, and to all of you for joining in and being lovely down below, Next week we’re off to the Vegas of the North for the long-awaited return of BLACKPOOL WEEK – so pack your glittery bags and do your sprung floor strengthening exercises for a dance extravaganza.
- Ick off is at 7.45pm, so I’ll see you then! Now, who’s driving the bus? Tony and Katya take to the floor for their final dance, to I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher.
- Cue giant pile-on! Worth noting that by this point it was 10.55pm and we’d been in the studio for the best part of six hours. SO TIRED.
- I do get why Tony wouldn’t put himself through the dance-off, though – if he’s hurt, there’s a risk he’d do an (even) worse job second time round, which isn’t how you want to leave the show.
And let’s face it, he was DEFINITELY leaving the show. Bit of an anti-climax, though. Still, please enjoy this fun section where Katya tries to speak and Tony consistently talks over her. Or not, as it turns out. Tony has decided to leave the competition due to injury, so Tyler is through.
- We didn’t get any more information on this last night, but presumably he’ll share the details on It Takes Two tomorrow.
- In case you hadn’t twigged, we’re going back to Blackpool next week.
- Basically it’s like the normal show, but with giant props, mad costumes and superfluous backing dancers.
- So who is joining Tyler and Dianne in the dance-off? Hamza and Jowita are off to Blackpool, along with Will and Nancy, Helen and Gorka and (EEK SO MUCH TENSION) Ellie and Johannes! Which means TONY AND DIANNE in the bottom two.
I have to confess I was surprised – I thought the fandom might take him to Blackpool. A foregone conclusion of a dance-off, surely? Time for a musical interlude, courtesy of Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Zak Abel performing their single Same Boat, in front of a tiny wind farm.
- I loved this performance last night, and got quite caught up in whether I could make Amy’s dress from an old bedsheet.
- Also can we please acknowledge Nikita’s commitment to Backstreet Boys-style 90s hair curtains.
- Soft furnishings all round.
- So who is safely through to next week’s Blackpool Tower Ballroom extravaganza? Molly and Carlos are safe, along with Kym and Graziano and Fleur and Vito.
First couple in the bottom two: TYLER AND DIANNE. It definitely wasn’t his best dance, totally agreed with Craig on the lack of shaping and Spanish line. Quite enjoyed the flaming rhombus though. Last night on Strictly: fabulous dancing, SO much crying.
- Highlights: Fleur’s Samba, Molly’s Rumba, Hamza doing Afrobeat (also JOWITA you absolute queen), Tyler’s sparkly harness and 22 mentions of Blackpool (I hope you were all suitably sloshed).
- Lowlights: Fleur’s Christmas tree dress, tens being dished out like Quality Streets, emotional dehydration.
- Also Tess’s pink dress/black boots combo, which looked just as awful in real life.
Individually: yes. Together: absolutely not, are you MAD? TESS AND CLAUDIA DRESS WATCH: Tess in respectful black (there are flares down below, obviously), and Claudia trying on her Year 5 school uniform. And we’re off! Tonight’s opening pro dance is a moving Remembrance Day tribute to Queen and country, complete with men in tails and gorgeous poppy dresses.
- I Vow To Thee My Country’ is such a beautiful hymn, so many goosebumps.
- Imagine watching this (twice) after the emotional rollercoaster of last night’s live show.
- I was a HUSK.
- Tonight’s Countryfile Casual Weatherperson is the delightful Ben Rich in nicely-fitting red plaid and a tidy beard.
- Roll up those sleeves, Ben.
Forecast is forearmed and all that. Also it’s still September out there, get your wrists out. There’s a Countryfile tea towel! You can wipe your dishes with John Craven’s face. Or if you prefer, there’s the usual calendar. You can pay by cheque. Honestly can’t remember the last time I paid for anything by cheque.
- Why are they cooking on Countryfile? There are loads of cooking shows – I want hedge laying and oinking pigs.
- Did you all play Blackpool bingo last night? Feel free to continue this evening, but only if you’re not working tomorrow because it’s going to be A LOT.
- Also if you’re still pottering around doing Sunday jobs, do NOT miss the beginning of tonight’s show.
It’s the opening pro dance we’ve been waiting for all season Obviously I know the outcome of tonight’s results shenanigans because (SPOILER ALERT) it was recorded last night, but I promise not to tell. Kick off is at 7.20, so please join me then!

Who left Strictly Week 10?
Who left Strictly Come Dancing after week ten dance off? Ellie Taylor has become the ninth contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing. Ellie and her partner Johannes had performed a Jive to ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ by Van Morrison and scored an underwhelming 25 points.
Who is out of Strictly Week 9 2022?
Strictly results and scoreboard marks – 19 November – Published 20 November, 2022 19:34 by Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez on Strictly Come Dancing – Week 9 (Blackpool). Credit: BBC/Guy Levy Here are all the rankings and Strictly Come Dancing 2022 results from the scoreboard of Week 9. Saturday (19 November) saw the remaining eight couples performing live for the latest time this series.
- This week saw Strictly Come Dancing returning to Blackpool’s iconic Tower Ballroom for the first time in two years.
- The judges – Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood – scored all of the performances out of 40 points.
- At the end of the evening we saw Fleur East on top with the first perfect 40 points of the series but in the danger zone right at the bottom was Ellie Taylor with 31 points.
The judges’ marks from Saturday’s dances were then used to determine the bottom two couples together with the results of the latest public vote. In Sunday’s results show, the two couples with the lowest combined scores returned to the ballroom floor for a second time.
This weekend that was Molly Rainford and her dance partner Carlos Gu and Tyler West and his dance partner Dianne Buswell. At the end of the dance off, it was Tyler West who left Strictly Come Dancing this week, As well as the results, Sunday’s show saw a special routine from the professional dancers and a music performance from Sam Ryder.

Who left Strictly 2022 Week 3
Strictly Come Dancing: week three results – as it happened Show key events only Please turn on JavaScript to use this feature We’re back to business as usual next week AND it’s the first sub-2 hour show, which is always cause for celebration. Thank you for joining in and being excellent – you can find me on Twitter/Insta @heidistephens if you’d like to say hello or chat books/dogs/Strictly/Eurovision.
- Ick off next week is 6.30pm, so I’ll see you then! Richie and Giovanni take to the floor for their final dance, to ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ by Aerosmith.
- This is the stuff of nightmares, isn’t it? You’re on the Strictly dancefloor, making your farewell speech in front of millions of viewers.
- And you’reNAKED.
No, not this time. In tonight’s fever dream you’re dressed in a Smiffy’s Fancy Dress meerkat costume that cost £16 on Amazon. Next to you is one of Italy’s sexiest men, but he’s dressed as a warthog who’s been on a massive acorn binge. But what a way to go, and I’m delighted for Richie that he got to live out his Strictly superfan dream, even if it was only for a few weeks.
- Craig, Motsi and Anton all save Fleur and Vito, which means RICHIE AND GIOVANNI are leaving Strictly.
- Meanwhile Shirley declares that she would have saved Richie, proving once again that her judging criteria is entirely unhinged.
- Very happy to watch Fleur and Vito’s American Smooth again, mostly because I was so busy enjoying Fleur’s dancing and the CGI fish last night I forgot to fully appreciate Vito as Prince Eric.
OK, appreciation complete. The big question is – Vito or Giovanni? I’m torn. It’s Meerkat vs. Mermaid and Richie’s up first, accompanied by Giovanni’s giant warthog belly. This feels like when you go all-out in an elaborate costume for Halloween, then by 9pm you’re sweating and itchy and really wish you were at home in your pyjamas.
- The intent was good, but the regret is very real.
- I know I bitch about Couple’s Choice relentlessly, but Tyler and Dianne doing a UK Garage megamix is very much my jam.
- Also Kym and Graziano dancing to Volare (or Nel Blu, Dipinto Di Blu, if you’re a purist) – it’s a classic of the Eurovision genre.
- I’m excited.
WELL. I’d argue Richie and Giovanni were overmarked for that Samba and didn’t deserve to be as high as they were – ironically that probably put them in the cursed middle, when a lower score might have mobilised the fandom. On top of that, they were also battling AWFUL costumes that did their dance no favours.
A double disaster, and I really can’t see how Richie is going to survive this – Fleur is by FAR the better dancer. So who else is safely through to next week, and who is joining Fleur and Vito in the dance off? I suspect there are a few itchy pants up there right now. Ellie and Nikita are back next week, along with Kym and Graziano, Tyler and Dianne, Molly and Carlos, Ellie and Johannes and Hamza and Jowita! Which means RICHIE AND GIOVANNI are in the dance-off! Time for a musical interlude, courtesy of pop/rock superstar Adam Lambert.
He’s singing ‘Mad About The Boy’, which will feature in a Noel Coward movie/documentary coming out next year. He has a phenomenal voice and his eyeliner game is unsurpassed. Dance-wise, Carlos and Nikita are contempo-wafting sexily. In the immortal words of Deniece Williams, let’s hear it for the boy(s).

Who went out of Strictly Week Eight?
Sunday 13 November 2022, 20:00 Tony Adams and his Pro partner Katya Jones became the seventh couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing after making the decision to withdraw from the competition. The pair performed a Jive to Land of 1000 Dances by Wilson Pickett on Saturday night, but found themselves in the bottom two after the Judges’ scores had been combined with the public vote. Tony and Katya were set to face Tyler West and Dianne Buswell, but the Dance Off did not go ahead.
- Tess explained: “Due to an injury sustained on Saturday night, Tony is unable to take part in the Dance Off and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
- This means there will be no Dance Off tonight and Tyler and Dianne are through to Blackpool.” Following the decision, Head Judge Shirley Ballas said: “Tony, from the very first moment you stepped foot on the floor with your Tango, to the last moment and the last kick, you have given us 100% of your heart.
You have grown week after week after week, you have become one of the nation’s favourite entertainers. On behalf of the Judges, we’ve enjoyed watching every second, you are truly what this show is all about, and we can only wish you the very best as you move forward. When asked by Tess about his time on the show, Tony said: “I came in here with one message, if you’ve got an issue with mental health then please don’t suffer in silence and reach out for help.” “Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot about myself in the process.
- I thought this ‘journey’ rubbish was nonsense, but my god the rollercoaster of emotion.
- I’ve got to be honest, it’s tough, physically it’s really tough out there, but dancing is really fantastic for you.
- Go out there and enjoy it and pick up new skills and explore.
- I suppose I had better mention this one hadn’t I, she is an exceptional human being, she really is.” Katya was then asked if she had any words for her partner, saying: “Tony Adams, I will be forever grateful that I was partnered up with you, do you know what I loved? I loved us, I loved that we didn’t care what people thought, we did every single dance our way! You have come here with a message, you led by example, and put yourself out there, and showed everyone you can do anything.
And everyone deserves love and to be loved! I love you.” From their Fully Monty Samba to their Halloween Quickstep, Tony and Katya have entertained us to the fullest over the past eight weeks. Their absence will really be felt in the Ballroom, but you can catch them together for one last time on Monday’s It Takes Two, 6.30pm on BBC Two.
Who went out in Strictly Week 12?
Strictly spoiler! Tonight’s Strictly results and scoreboard marks – Published 12 December, 2022 20:57 by Hamza Yassin & Jowita Przystal in Strictly Come Dancing semi-final. Credit: BBC/Guy Levy Here are all the rankings and Strictly Come Dancing 2022 results from the scoreboard of Week 12’s Semi Final. It was Kym Marsh who left Strictly last weekend and another celebrity was voted off in tonight’s results show.
Sunday saw all five of the remaining couples performing live once more with two routines each. As always judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood marked each of the performances out of 40 as the competition got ever closer to the final. Come the end of the evening, Hamza Yassin was on top spot of the scores with a total of 77 marks for his two dances.
Meanwhile Will Mellor was bottom with 70 points for his two routines in the semi-final show. In tonight’s episode, the panel’s scores from Sunday night’s dances were combined with the results of the latest public vote to determine the bottom two dancers.
