What happened to Caleb in Emmerdale
Emmerdale’s Caleb Milligan has been left fighting for his life after he was pushed off a cliff in a new whodunit story line. Fans have now suggested some prime suspects. Caleb recently arrived in the village and shocked fans when it was revealed that he is Chas and Cain Dingle’s long lost brother.
It was also revealed Caleb is the son of Home Farm legend Frank Tate. It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Caleb since his arrival in the village, as he has managed to upset almost everyone. The character was left lifeless at the bottom of a ridge in the woods last week, after being shoved off and his fate still remains unknown.

Recently, Caleb has been trying to make amends for involving Cain and Moira in his plot by secretly giving Cain business through his chauffeur company. In scenes set to air this week, the illegal activity going on at Caleb’s business comes to a head when Nate tips Caleb off that employee Corey is shifting illegal guns.
Caleb later suffers a beating at the hands of ruthless businessman Harry as he attempts to gain control of the spiralling situation. Is Caleb in Emmerdale married?
Not to be confused with Chas and Cain Dingle ‘s half-brother, Caleb Miligan, Caleb Dingle is Mandy Dingle ‘s father and one of Zak Dingle ‘s brothers. Caleb married Vera-Lynn Dingle and they had a daughter, who they named Mandy. After Caleb and Vera-Lynn got divorced and Caleb married another woman and gained four step-sons (according to Mandy’s Secret Diary, two of those step sons were twins called Frampton and Mungo).

Their decision could not only cause tensions between their families, but it could also lead to the exit of one villager. Later, Nate’s relieved when Tracy sees how involving Caleb in her nursery would cause ructions with Cain. However, when Moira announces that he and Mack are going to be put in a competitive interview process for the one remaining job at the farm, furious Tracy immediately makes a call to Caleb to take him up on his offer and Nate no longer has a leg to stand on.

After the pair had words over recent dodgy dealings going on at Caleb’s car firm. Caleb had bought the firm recently, but had no idea manager Corey was doing illegal dealings with gangster Harry in secret. From delivering parcels to stashing guns and other possessions, Corey was finally rumbled by Caleb’s nephew Nate Robinson who tried to put a stop to it all, before realising he was out of his depth.
He finally told Caleb what had been going on at the car firm leaving him furious, but he was keen to put an end to it. On Thursday night Caleb arranged a meet-up with Harry in the fallout to some guns going missing. Caleb did his best to scare Harry and his men off, but they got the better of him and beat him up.
- Caleb was left barely conscious on the floor, bleeding and bruised after being attacked.
- Clearly in bad shape, he was rescued by brother Cain Dingle and Nate who came to find out if he was in any danger.
- As Caleb clutched on to his side with blood everywhere, he was dragged back to his house.
- Emmerdale could be lining up a brutal death if the latest episode was anything to go by ( ITV) Cain asked Dr Liam Cavanagh to check him over, as Caleb reused to go to hospital despite needing medical attention.
He feared what police involvement would mean, so refused the help. Liam assessed him, and at one point it wasn’t look good. Caleb was in and out of focus, and looked as though he was going to pass out but Liam managed to keep him alert. Giving him pain killers he told Caleb’s son Nicky that his dad just needed rest but should be fine.
While Caleb continued to refuse medical attention, he did head off for some rest while Cain left, still not keen to make amends just yet. But Caleb clearly needed help, and was visibly deteriorating following what looked to be an extremely violent attack by three thugs. So could tragedy be on the way for Caleb and the Dingles just as he and Cain look set to finally make things up? Is Caleb more injured than he and Liam have realised, or could it be a massive hint or foreshadowing of scenes to come later down the line? After all and almost died! Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.

Who is leaving Emmerdale soon
David Metcalfe – Matthew Wolfenden as David Metcalfe. (Image credit: ITV) Emmerdale legend Matthew Wolfenden is reportedly leaving the soap after 17 years, which could pave the way for his character to be killed off. Matthew has played much-loved shopkeeper David Metcalfe since 2006.
However he is set to bow out of the soap as he has been bored with his character’s lack of gritty storylines. A TV source supposedly told The Sun : “Matthew has had an amazing time on the soap, but feels ready for a change. He hasn’t been getting any gritty storylines recently so wants to see what else is out there.
“He’s a fan favourite so will get a lot of support in whatever he decides to do next. He’s very excited about the opportunities available.” The source also added that David’s exit could see him killed off. “He’s only just announced he is leaving so scriptwriters are working out his on-screen exit.
