Who’s the lion on masked singers

Answered By: Gerld Wilson Date: created: Sep 13 2023

The Masked Singer revealed both the lion and rabbit during its semifinals round Double elimination means double the surprise! On Wednesday’s semifinals episode of The Masked Singer, audiences watched the five remaining contestants — the peacock, rabbit, monster, bee and lion — compete before two disguised celebrities were eliminated and revealed.

The peacock (“Let’s Go” by Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo) first performed in front of celebrity panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and guest Kenan Thompson, and was followed by the monster (Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me”), lion (Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing”), rabbit (The Temptations’ “My Girl”) and bee (Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”).

Despite their strong and entertaining performances, the lion and rabbit were eliminated. First, the lion was revealed to be Rumer Willis, “I knew how to dance but I wanted everyone to know that I can sing too,” 30-year-old Willis, who was crowned the season 20 champ of Dancing with the Stars, said to the shocked panel.

Who was Koala Masked Singer?

The episode celebrated the return of I’m A Celebrity to Australia after two years. Vernon Kay has been crowned the winner of The Masked Singer’s I’m A Celebrity (IAC) crossover special after being unmasked as Koala. The two ITV programmes joined to mark the return of IAC to Australia after two years in Wales due to travel restrictions amid the pandemic.

  1. The TV presenter, 48, secured the title after delivering two lively performances and beating three other former IAC campmates.
  2. Wearing a pink tutu and supported by a troupe of dancers dressed as gold stars, Kay sang Could It Be Magic by Take That for his first song.
  3. For his second performance, he gave a powerful version of If I Can Dream by Elvis Presley.

None of the judges correctly guessed it was Kay, with Mo Gilligan thinking it could have been TV presenter Nick Knowles and Rita Ora guessing it might have been TV personality Jake Quickenden. Kay’s performances beat singer Sinitta, who came second after being unmasked as Kangaroo.

For her first song, she performed Lush Life by Zara Larsson while dressed in a blue shiny jacket with gold chains and sunglasses. In her second performance to try and clinch the crown, she gave an upbeat rendition of Just Got Paid by Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor, and Sigala. Ora was the only one to previously guess it could be Sinitta but she did not lock it in as her final answer.

Earlier in the episode, it was revealed Cockroach was tenor Russell Watson. Davina McCall correctly guessed it was the singer as she thought his gladiator-themed outfit was a reference to his battle with a brain tumour. For his performance, the singer belted out Go The Distance by Michael Bolton from the Disney film Hercules, with Gilligan describing the rendition as “breathtaking”.

Alison Hammond was also revealed to be Witchetty Grub after she removed IAC’s recognisable bubble helmet as part of her costume. The TV presenter sang a lively version of M People’s classic track Moving On Up as she took to the stage. None of the judges guessed Hammond was behind the mask, with Jonathan Ross feeling it might be Katie Price and Ora guessing it was Carol Vorderman.

McCall opted for Lisa Snowdon, while Gilligan thought it might be Gemma Collins. The crossover special opened with the four former campmates performing Down Under by Men At Work together. Regular host Joel Dommett, who appeared on IAC in 2016, returned to present the show.

Who is the masked dancer sloth

Answered By: Edward Adams Date: created: Jan 06 2024

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has danced with the stars, but as Sloth on The Masked Dancer, he wanted the celebrity treatment. “When I decided to do the show, I said, ‘I’ll do it under one condition: that I’m not responsible for myself. I get to experience the journey as close to the celebrity that comes on Dancing with the Stars,'” season 1’s runner-up Chmerkovskiy, 41, tells PEOPLE.

  1. Because I was the pro to that celebrity so many times, I know that they’re having a blast and we’re having the crazy time.
  2. So I wanted to experience that.” The former Dancing with the Stars pro enjoyed taking a step back and getting to work with close friends throughout the process, like his choreographer Kiki Nyemchek and partner Koine Iwasaki, who have both appeared on So You Think You Can Dance,

“Kiki Nyemchek was my student since he was 7 years old. And my partner Koko, who was second on So You Think, is Kiki’s girlfriend. And my wife’s one of her best friends,” Chmerkovskiy says of Peta Murgatroyd, “These people are eating with us probably the night before for dinner and the next day, I walk in and I take my ski mask off, and they both just died,” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE ‘s free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

The Ukraine native performed a different dance style each week, including doing a ribbon dance that led to the judges guessing Chmerkovskiy as Will Ferrell and Jack Black. The likeness to Ferrell, 53, “made my professional life,” Chmerkovskiy quips. Below, the dad of 4-year-old son Shai shares why he didn’t tell anyone when he got injured on the show, whether Murgatroyd, 34, critiqued his performances, and about his initial hesitance to be the Sloth.

As someone who is known for how they move, why did you pick the Sloth costume? We’re having this Zoom meeting and they’re like, “Okay, so this is what we’re going to present you with the idea for your character.” I was very excited. And it’s a two-dimensional digital sketch of Sloth.

  1. That was the first moment that I was like, “Maybe this is not the right thing to do.” I was at the crossroads of where I would start with a question like, “Well, why Sloth?” And then maybe even try to direct it somewhere else.
  2. And the other path that would be, “Sure.
  3. Let’s do it.” That’s the one I chose because I wanted to be not involved in the process.

And they’re looking at me like, “Well, you don’t want to comment on the colors and stuff?” I’m like, “No, I just want to let you guys do your thing. And I’m going to do my thing.” How did you get into character? The first thing I did after that was go home and look at mascot videos.

I just literally YouTubed mascots. And I kept looking at what they’re doing and their mannerisms and their movements and all that stuff. Because I figured that maybe this was similar. Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy with son Shai. Has your son Shai enjoyed watching you as Sloth? Does he understand that you’re under the costume? No, he has no idea.

I’m strict, like all the other parents of a 4-year-old, but his TV interaction is not that big. And when it is, it’s cartoons. Also, it’s tough to focus a 4-year-old on things that have commercials in them. I think that we will have to revisit all the dances again as Sloth as thinking about that’s papa.

  • Did anyone besides your wife and son know you were on The Masked Dancer ? As by nature of my family, we don’t have any secrets.
  • Well, we’re just bad at keeping them, really.
  • So it was an impossible task.
  • I wanted to point, and be, “That’s me.
  • Look, it’s me.
  • Hey, Instagram world! Hey, social media!” Where all we do nowadays is tell everybody about what we do.

I don’t get to do that. So I’ve been ready for the reveal. RELATED VIDEO: Jordin Sparks Talks About Why She Went on The Masked Dancer Despite Being ‘Scared’ Did Peta, as a Dancing with the Stars pro herself, have any feedback on your performances? She was on Dancing with the Stars at the same time as I was filming The Masked Dancer and so we would come home in the completely opposite moods.

  • I come home elated with the biggest smile on my face because of my experience.
  • She comes home neurotic with a crazy look in her eyes like the rest of us pros on Dancing with the Stars,
  • That job is severely underrated in how difficult it is.
  • It’s a very hard gig.
  • So we had very different experiences in that period of time.

Did you enjoy being on the other side this time around? This was probably the best production I’ve ever been a part of, from the executive producing all the way through. My day would start: My driver would pick me up. I couldn’t drive myself. I couldn’t park and walk out.

  1. The car drops me off, and I’m greeted by my producer, who is a close friend from a long time ago that worked on Dancing,
  2. My choreographers, Kiki Nyemchek, who was fourth on So You Think You Can Dance a couple of years ago, is one of the biggest figures in commercial dance world in town.
  3. It was a beautiful, organic process that I never had anywhere else.

You have decades of dance experience, but how did moving in the costume change the experience? It was very, very restricting.

And I tried to make it look easy. I feel like that’s the thing that we’re supposed to do. At the very least, this was the way I always approach my art. It has to be effortless. But this was very, very hard. There was limitation in moving. And I would have loved to do some more spins, turn, things of that nature.

It wasn’t working because the mask, the way it was built, it’s built on a bicycle helmet. This was the best way that you could build the costume, but it wasn’t the best way to dance in one. I pulled my shoulder during the ribbon dance, the second number that we did, where I was told that I’m Will Ferrell.

  • How did you deal with that injury? I didn’t even tell anybody.
  • I was embarrassed.
  • I was like, “Bro, you’re basically not doing anything.
  • And you look like a giant pillow.
  • Don’t talk about your injuries.” After such a wide range of guesses, were you surprised judge Paula Abdul eventually landed on you? I don’t think anybody expected it to be me.

Forget me and Val, but there’s also a bunch of dudes that were on our show that move that way. No one was calling me. No one had spoken to me about the show. Catch People (the TV show!) Monday through Friday. Check your local listings for exact times or stream the show every day at 7 p.m.

Who was behind the seashell masked singer

Answered By: Seth Reed Date: created: Jul 20 2024

‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals the Identities of the Crab and Seashell: Here Are the Stars Under the Masks SPOILER ALERT : Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 5 Episode 7 of “,” which aired April 21 on Fox. Too hot to handle, too cold to hold, was the next celebrity to be eliminated on Wednesday night’s edition of “The Masked Singer,” followed immediately by “Sister, Sister” star,

It was a tough night for the beach, as Brown had been disguised as the Crab, while Mowry was dressed as the Seashell. That’s right, it was a double elimination evening, part of a two-hour extravaganza that saw the “Super 8” contestants whittled down to just six. Also, viewers got more of a glimpse of the mysterious “Cluedle Doo,” a masked star who is sharing additional clues behind the scenes for viewers — and, for the first time, the panelists on set.

For the Crab, Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg got it right with Brown. Robin Thicke went with Ray Parker Jr., Nicole Scherzinger thought it was Keith Sweat. Guest panelist Rita Wilson named Martin Lawrence. For the Seashell, Nicole Scherzinger correctly guessed Tamera Mowry; Ken Jeong chose Sarah Silverman; Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg named Vanessa Hudgens; Robin Thicke went with Haylie Duff.

  1. Guest panelist Rita Wilson named Scout Willis.
  2. Every little step Brown took on “The Masked Singer” was a tribute to his kids, who inspired him to do the show.
  3. We watch ‘The Masked Singer’ religiously every Wednesday,” he said.
  4. We’ve been watching it since day one.
  5. So, knowing that we were big fans and knowing how my kids reacted to watching this show.

I just thought it would be a good idea to try and trick them, see if they could get me. Most of the time they always say, ‘That’s daddy!’ Now, to actually be on the show now, and get a chance to say that’s daddy, and it really be me.” On their own, the kids guessed it was Brown.

  1. But cool it now, he didn’t confirm it.
  2. Tonight, they’ll be able to say see, we told you that it was you daddy,” he said.
  3. It was Brown’s prerogative to choose the Crab costume, even though he knew it would be cruel.
  4. When I first saw it, with the claws and the shell and the mustache, I thought it would be great,” he said.

“It was extremely tough to move around. There was no movement around there was no dancing involved in the performances. Compared to how I perform. Within the head was so big, it was weighing me down. So I had to use head weights to practice in. I used football helmets, different things to try to get used to it, but my claustrophobia kicked in still.” Viewers saw the impact after Brown’s previous performance, when he had to rush off stage because the costume was too hot.

  • “These were songs that were touching, things that reminded me of different things in my life and, it was therapeutic to be able to sing those songs, and I had a ball,” he said.
  • Brown said once was enough for “The Masked Singer,” but he wouldn’t mind returning for “The Masked Dancer.”
  • As for Mowry, appearing on “The Masked Singer” brought her back to singing on a stage for the first time since her teenage years.

“It’s been a dream of mine to tap back into singing,” she said. “I started my career in the entertainment business in a group called Voices. I was 14 years old. At the same time, I was doing a pilot called ‘Sister, Sister.’ So, the moment ‘Sister, Sister’ got picked up, I couldn’t do both.

And I took the path of acting. I’m so happy I did, but at the same time I always wondered what it would have been like to perform and sing again.” “Sister, Sister” was a huge hit for Mowry and her sister Tia, leading to other opportunities like singing the National Anthem at the Malibu Triathlon over two decades ago — the last time Mowry said she performed in public.

Mowry said the “Masked Singer” experience was more of a whirlwind than she expected — but “an amazing whirlwind. The mask production, the producers, the vocal coaches. They were all fantastic. It is stressful and challenging but at the same time, they make it so joyful, and fun that it is an experience I will never forget.

  • And I am so grateful I’m a part of the ‘Masked Singer’ family.” For her final song, Mowry chose “I Think We’re Alone Now,” by Tiffany.
  • Before that, she performed “Listen to Your Heart,” by Roxette; “Confident,” by Demi Lovato; and “Tell Me Something Good,” by Rufus feat.
  • Chaka Khan.
  • Mowry said it was difficult to learn a song and dance moves within two days, as well as the rules of keeping her appearance a secret and singing live.

“I felt like one of the most challenging things was singing with this big mask on, the Seashell,” she said. “And if you want to move, your movements have to be a little bit more larger than life, than you would if you didn’t have a costume on. In doing that, it can kind of exhaust you.

  1. Your breath, you have to really control that because you’re singing.
  2. But with anything and everything I adapt.
  3. And because I was having so much fun, you kind of just have to let all that go and learn as you go.” At the same time, she added, “If there’s anything, I felt very safe from COVID doing this.

You are covered from head to toe. And I love how when I first sang, people were like, ‘Who is this? Who is the Seashell?’ No one was judging you. They were seeing it for what it was, seeing a performance for what it was. And I loved being unknown for about a month.” Now, Mowry hopes to more actively pursue singing, including a gospel album and musicals.

  1. This season’s costumes include Raccoon, Seashell, Black Swan, Snail, Grandpa Monster, Phoenix, Chameleon, Russian Doll(s), Porcupine, The Piglet and the wildcards Orca, Crab and Bulldog.
  2. Brown as Crab and Mowry as Seashell join previously unmasked celebrities Mark McGrath (Orca), Nick Cannon (Bulldog), Logan Paul (Grandpa Monster), Danny Trejo (as Raccoon), Caitlyn Jenner (as Phoenix) and Kermit the Frog (as Snail).
  3. The Season 5 contestants boast a combined 26 Grammy nominations, nine multi-platinum singles, four Academy Award nominations, three Super Bowl appearances, six gold medals and two world records.

The show’s panelists are also once competing for a “Golden Ear” trophy based on their first impressions of each masked performer (which McCarthy won last time). Jeong and McCarthy Wahlberg each had a point so far, heading into this episode. The panelists’ Crab first impressions: Jeong and McCarthy Wahlberg got it right with Bobby Brown, Thicke’s was Kool from Kool and the Gang, and Scherzinger’s was “a member of the Jackson 5.” Another point for Jeong and McCarthy Wahlberg, now tied at two. Who is baby in The Masked Singer

Answered By: Albert Collins Date: created: Dec 27 2023

‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Identity of the Baby: Here’s the Star Under the Mask SPOILER ALERT : Do not read ahead if you have not watched “” Season 6, Episode 4, “House Party,” which aired October 6 on Fox. “The Masked Singer” has sent the Baby into timeout.

  • Performing under the toddler mask was comedian, who was sent packing at the end of the fourth episode of Season 6, “House Party.” Once again, none of the show’s panelists got it right.
  • En Jeong named Gordon Ramsay as his pick.
  • Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg guessed Bruce Willis.
  • Nicole Scherzinger guessed James Corden.

Robin Thicke said it was Chuck Norris, but with a chuckle. “I knew they wouldn’t guess me,” Larry the Cable Guy told Variety. “I knew they would be completely stumped because it’s totally something that they’ve never seen me do. And definitely, they’d never heard me in a different voice.

  • I have a certain sound to my voice, but when I completely went British, and baby talk, and opera, and it worked.” Larry the Cable Guy as Baby sang “The Flintstones” theme song, but in an operatic style.
  • His previous song was “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything,” by Barry White.
  • Other than I couldn’t move or breathe, it was a lot of fun,” Larry said of his experience.

He noted how torn fans were over the Baby costume: Some thought it was cute, while others felt it was too creepy. “It seems like the opinion is the kids loved it and the adults who are scared of it,” he said of his initial appearance. But for this episode, “I think the fact that the baby sang an operatic version of ‘The Flintstones’ made it more endearing to the parents, and more scary to the kids, so I don’t know what to tell you.” Larry said he chose the costume because “it’s the only thing I could fit in I didn’t have a lot of mobility, but just the fact that it wasn’t tight, it was great.

You know you could put the five members of the Commodores in that.” The comedian was proud that he managed to fool the panel, which partly came from using various fake voices, including a British accent. “When I first got introduced I’m talking in a British accent, and then I cranked out a Barry White tune,” he said.

“And then when they think you’re going to do another tune like that one of my favorite things to do is sing operatic, goofy songs. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid, because it’s fun. I’m not a singer, so I figured, I’m just gonna have fun. I’m gonna do something completely different.

It’s about entertaining people.” Had Larry the Cable Guy continued on “The Masked Singer,” he had the song “Vehicle,” by Ides of March, ready to go. “I love that song,” he said. Coincidentally, Larry the Cable Guy was unmasked just days after he was parodied on the season opener of “Saturday Night Live.” In one sketch, guest host Owen Wilson played himself in a recording studio, voicing a fourth edition of the “Cars” franchise.

But in this one, the character of Lightning McQueen is an asshole — and Wilson is not pleased. That’s when his “Cars” co-star Larry the Cable Guy — played on the show by new cast member James Austin Johnson — shows up. Larry enjoyed the sketch — but wasn’t a fan of his impersonator.

  • I saw the costume and I actually have that shirt,” he said.
  • But the guy was too skinny and he sounded literally nothing like me Owen always does a good job, I love Owen.
  • He’s a buddy.
  • And I’m glad that he did that.
  • I thought the sketch was funny, I thought the guy playing me sucked.” Larry the Cable Guy (Baby) joined Tyga (Dalmatian), Toni Braxton (Pufferfish), Vivica A.

Fox (Mother Nature) and Dwight Howard (Octopus) as the next celebrity to be unmasked on Season 6 of “The Masked Singer.” “The Masked Singer” entered Season 6 with the return of a studio audience for the first time since the pandemic began. This season’s costumes include Baby, Banana Split, Beach Ball, Bull, Caterpillar, Cupcake, Dalmatian, Hamster, Mallard, Mother Nature, Octopus, Pepper, Pufferfish, Queen of Hearts and Skunk.

The Season 6 contestants boast a combined 85 Grammy Nominations and 27 wins, three Academy Award nominations, 12 Emmy Nominations, 12 Razzie Award Nominations, two Super Bowl appearances and two Lifetime Achievement Awards. The show’s panelists will once again compete for a “Golden Ear” trophy based on their first impressions of each masked performer (which McCarthy has won the last two times) — and in week one, all of the panelists’ final guesses were also their first impressions.

Jeong went into episode four with a point, ahead of everyone else. As for Baby, Thicke’s first impression was Chuck Norris. McCarthy Wahlberg chose Kurt Russell. Jeong picked Hugh Jackman. Scherzinger named Michael Caine for her first impression. No one gained a point. Bull, “The Masked Singer”

Last night’s semi-final of ‘The Masked Singer’ saw two more celebrities – Dragon and Harlequin – revealed live on television last night. – After performing ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Adele and ‘Sweet But Psycho’ by Ava Max, Dragon and Harlequin were then unmasked and revealed to be former ‘GBBO’ host Sue Perkins and ’90s pop sensation Gabrielle.

  • Gabrielle, of course, is best known for her 1993 hit, ‘ Dreams ‘, and her duet with East 17, ‘If You Ever’, while Sue Perkins is known for her comedy double-act with Mel Giedroyc and hosting ‘GBBO’.
  • Interestingly, Gabrielle admitted after the reveal that she is “a nervous performer” and thought doing the show would get her out of her comfort zone.

“Let me tell you now, I loved it! It was the most fabulous experience and I look forward to watching this now,” the singer said. Here’s the two reveals as they happened. Going into the final, the remaining contestants are Badger, Robin, and Sausage. Any ideas who they are? The theories so far we’ve heard include Robin being Nicky Byrne of Westlife, Badger is singer Ne-Yo, while some people think Sausage is either actor/singer Sheridan Smith, who recently turned up as a guest judge on ‘Drag Race UK’, or is Stacey Solomon.

Who was the singing snowflake on masked singer

Answered By: Cody Gonzales Date: created: Jul 09 2024

It was a “Battle of the Semi Finals” on ” The Masked Singer ” airing Thursday, November 24, Harp, Lambs and Snowstorm had each taken out the competition in their respective rounds and went head-to-head in the first ever three-way Battle Royale. After performing “Thinking of You” by Katy Perry and “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson, it was Snowstorm that came up short of reaching the Season 8 finale, revealing herself to be comedian Nikki Glaser,

  • It was the first dream that I ever had,” the actress told host Nick Cannon during her unmasked interview.
  • It was squashed at such a young age and it just became something that was unattainable to me.
  • When this opportunity came up it was so perfect.
  • I think what held me back is that everyone knew I was a comedian, so everyone was like, ‘Don’t sing, no one wants to hear that.

It’s like Michael Jordan playing baseball. No one needs that from you. Do what you’re good at.’ This show really allowed me to forget all of the insecurities I had around singing and really explore my voice.” Prior to the big reveal panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger each chimed in with their thoughts on who the Snowstorm could be.

  • Jenny nailed it, guessing Glaser was the secret singer while Robin thought it was Whitney Cummings, Nicole guessed Iliza Shlesinger and Ken went with Kristen Wiig,
  • In her clue package she stated, “Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of being a pop star.
  • When I was in high school I was taking voice lessons and one day my mom said she got a call from my voice teacher saying, ‘I’m sorry, but your daughter doesn’t have it.’ That was the day my dream died.

That’s why I’m very thankful I’m still here on this show. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to express myself in a way I never thought I would be able to artistically. And I hope by making it to the finals next week I continue to inspire any kid or adult who thinks they don’t have it.

  • I promise you, you do have it, you just gotta unmask it.
  • If my voice teacher is out there watching, don’t change the channel.
  • Because proving you wrong someday has kept me going all these years.
  • So this one’s for you, dream killer!” In the video we saw a cinema ticket, hinting she’s an actress.
  • We also saw a snow globe and a sign that says “Live.” Snowstorm was the 20th act eliminated from Season 8 of “The Masked Singer.” Her unmasking was preceded by William Shatner as Knight, Eric Idle as Hedgehog, Chris Kirkpatrick as Hummingbird, Jeff Dunham as Pi-Rat, Montell Jordan as Panther, “The Brady Bunch” brothers as Mummies, Daymond John as Fortune Teller, Mario Cantone as Maize, Gloria Gaynor and Mermaid, Jerry Springer as Beetle, Kat Graham as Robo Girl, Joey Lawrence as Walrus, Le’Veon Bell as Milkshake, George Foreman as Venus Flytrap, George Clinton as Gopher, Chris Jericho as Bride, Adam Carolla as Avocado, Linda Blair as Scarecrow and Ray Parker Jr.
