“During their time on the show, one of the key elements of my analysis was that the pair were very tactile with each other, like two naughty school children. “I noticed that it wasn’t until the end of the interview that Jowita grabbed Hamza’s arm and was complimentary.” The ex-copper added: “There was mainly zero contact.
“I think her lack of touching and body language was a deliberate strategy to demonstrate a level of professionalism.” Former detective Darren is no stranger to ballroom scandals – with several years under his belt providing fascinating commentary on the hit dance contest.

- He was always in the front row (in lectures at Bangor), putting his hand up, answering questions.
- Really engaging in it.” After Hamza won, Julia tweeted : “Whoop whoop.

Are Hamza and Jowita going out
Strictly’s 2022 winner, Hamza Yassin, is said to be “brokenhearted” by the news his pro dancing partner, Jowita Pryzstal, is dating fellow pro Giovanni Pernice. The “besotted’ Strictly winner is reported to have fallen for Jowita during the pair’s time on the show.
The duo lifted the Glitterball trophy last month, after a momentous win that saw them battle it out against a line-up of hugely talented dancers. But Hamza, 32, is described as having been “besotted” with his pro partner, meaning the news of her new relationship could be hard for him to swallow. Jowita, 28, has been secretly dating professional dancer and 2021 winner, Giovanni Pernice.

Where did Helen come in Strictly final
Helen Skelton has bounced back from a tough year in her personal life and losing out in the Strictly Come Dancing final, by ‘winning’ the show’s live tour alongside Kai Widdrington. It was well documented before former Blue Peter star Helen signed up to do Strictly that she’d been put through the mill thanks to the breakdown of her marriage to rugby player Richie Myler and then having to watch him very publicly move on with another woman.
Helen was the final star to be confirmed as a contestant for the BBC show last year and, in her first few weeks of ballroom life was plagued by a crippling lack of self confidence. Helen even had to be calked back into the rehearsal room by pro partner Gorka Marquez at one point, having fled through a fire exit.
The turning point for Helen came as she and Gorka wowed with their Blue Peter themed Charleston for Strictly’s BBC 100th birthday special and, from then on, as Helen gained in confidence, they were regulars at the top of the leaderboard and, having never fallen into the dreaded dance-off, made it all the way to the final.

: Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice confirms romance with Jowita Pryzstal
Who does Giovanni date?

How much did Hamza get for winning Strictly
Strictly Come Dancing has a habit of re-shining Britain’s biggest stars, and in some cases works as a kind of public image rehab for crusty politicians (we’re looking at you Anne Widdecombe and Ed Balls). But celebs don’t just leave the ballroom with a Waltz and a Cha-cha-cha under their toes, there’s serious cash to be made in the post-Strictly afterglow.
The winner of Saturday night’s final will reportedly Quickstep away with £100,000. And finalists Fleur East, Britain’s Got Talent star Molly Rainford, presenter Helen Skelton and bookies favourite Hamza Yassin will probably leave with plenty of offers which ever way the public vote goes. The “joke act” of 2020 Bill Bailey has been named by The Sun as Strictly’s highest earning winner.
The comedian is thought to be worth £5.6million. Unlike some of his fellow dancers, there’s no evidence any of that has come from lingerie deals. The Have I Got News For You host 2020 also held nearly £1million in three different firms in 2020, including a property business called Kampung Pala Properties. Bill Bailey won the show in 2020 – but he was already doing pretty well for himself (Image: BBC/Guy Levy) The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness was hot on Bill’s dancing heels, reportedly cradling a whopping £5.6million fortune. The 2015 series winner has gone on to enjoy a successful West End career, recently starring in Sleepless: A Musical Romance alongside ex-Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh.
Other winners like Abbey Clancy (modelling) and Stacey Dooley (hair products) have cashed in on advertising since storming to victory under the glitterball. The bookmakers has Helen Skelton on 2/1, Molly Rainford on 40/1, and Fleur East on 66/1. Who left Strictly Week 6 2022
Strictly Come Dancing: week six Results – as it happened Show key events only Please turn on JavaScript to use this feature So that’s it for this year’s Strictly Halloween Spooktacular – normal non-feem service will resume next week, which I think we’re all probably quite relieved about.
- Thank you all for joining in and being the something strange in my neighbourhood – I’ll be back next week at 7pm for another twirl around the Strictly dancefloor.
- In the meantime you can find me on Twitter or Insta @heidistephens if you fancy saying hello.
- Have an excellent week! Hx Amy says he’s been an amazing role model to his boys, and James says he’s made a friend for life (DRINK).
They take to the floor for their final dance, to Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi. The judges all save Fleur and Vito, although Anton points out that they both danced better last night. I mean, he’s not wrong. Which means JAMES AND AMY are leaving Strictly.
Talking of baffling concepts, it’s time for Fleur to dance her Salsa. Still no idea what this is all about. I actually really enjoyed this last night, but on second viewing I can see what the judges meant about finish and getting her feet together. A bit of a fall coming out of that lift, and this is full of mistakes too.
Has she done enough? EEK. James is up first – this bee-themed Charleston is no less baffling second time round. Also quite a few mistakes and the lifts are VERY clunky – Fleur is going to have to stage a Salsa sit-in to get voted off this evening. ‘Your concept was good,’ says Shirley to a man dressed as a haunted beekeeper.
LOL. Who is joining Fleur and Vito in the bottom two? Hamza and Jowita are safe, along with Kym and Graziano, Tony and Katya, Molly and Carlos and Helen and Gorka. Which means JAMES AND AMY in the dance-off. That’s BYE, James Bye, surely? I can’t see the judges choosing him over Fleur unless she really messes this up – they were five points apart on the leader board.
My Eurovision WhatsApp group is appalled that I’ve never heard of Rina Sawayama. Hoping they don’t eject me from the group for being deeply uncool. Lovely to see Motsi in those Elizabethan sleeves off Antiques Roadshow, and Shirley in the legendary Flavia wig.
- Also can now confirm that Tess and Claudia BOTH have flares going on.
- They seem to be very much the thing this season.
- Time for a musical interlude, courtesy of Rina Sawayama singing her single, This Hell.
- Very theme-appropriate, although I confess to not being familiar with her work.
- The internet tells me that she specialises in alt-pop, electro-pop and art-pop, which leaves me very much none the wiser, although it sounds like shouty Shania Twain to me.
So which couple is the first in tonight’s Dreadful Dance Off? Ellie S and Nikita are safe, along with Tyler and Dianne and Ellie T and Johannes and Will and Nancy. First couple in the bottom two: FLEUR AND VITO. Well, that’s a shame. But if it’s Tony or James, she’ll be staying anyway.
- LAST NIGHT ON STRICTLY: spooky shenanigans.
- Not the most memorable evening of dance we’ve ever enjoyed, but Halloween rarely is.
- Good fun though.
- Highlights: Motsi’s Halloween makeup, Morticia and Gomez, fabulous costumes all round, Stormzy.
- Lowlights: Anton’s wig, mad scoring, unfathomable music choices, general theme ennui.
Tess as a Big Purple Quality Street, Claudia in traditional black. No idea what’s going on down below – I’ll inspect later. And we’re off! Tonight’s spellbinding pro dance tells the Greek myth of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun because he was an idiot and his dad made him a rubbish set of wings.
Nikita is playing Icarus, and has waxed his chest for the occasion. I have many questions about this breathy emo version of ‘Come Fly With Me’ (including ‘why?’), but no idea what this has to do with Halloween. I guess the original mythological story ends in a watery death? *shrug emoji* Hilary Kay is absolutely LOSING IT over some very rare Elizabethan textiles that belong to the Willoughby family who own Wollaton Hall.
Honestly think she might need smelling salts. They’re worth a hundred thousand pound, minimum. For some sleeves and pillowcases. Which reminds me, must pop to John Lewis. Ooh, a ‘Bones The Butcher’ Clarice Cliff teapot. Drink! (but only tea). It’s worth £800, which is a lot of Yorkshire teabags.
- Tonight’s Antiques Roadshow basic/better/best features Batman movie memorabilia.
- The best is worth up to ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY GRAND.
- Everyone thinks it’s the Joker suit because it’s been worn by Jack Nicholson, although I’m not discounting the Batman gimp mask.
- What a time to be alive.
- So glad he clarified that it’s a Pennsylvania rifle rather than a Kentucky one, because I’m always getting endlessly confused between those two.
Also bonus drink for the red trouser/exuberant moustache combo.

Which celebrity has pulled out of Strictly 2022
Week 6 – James and Amy – EastEnders actor James Bye with Amy Dowden, with host Tess Daly (left), after being the latest celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing during the results show on BBC1. (Image: PA Media) James Bye and Amy Dowden left Strictly Come Dancing 2022 during Halloween week.
- The EastEnders actor and Welsh professional dancer were the fifth couple to leave the series after facing the dreaded dance-off with Fleur East and Vito Coppola.
- Speaking about his time on the show, James said: “I’ve said this from the very beginning, all I can do is go out there and do my very best.
I am dancing against Fleur East, I went and did my best but she is phenomenal. “I’ve had the best time on this show and I have a friend for life, all I can do is thank the family, and I have a new family now. It’s a competition but you don’t feel like that backstage, you honestly feel like everyone has each other’s backs and everyone is just willing everyone to do their best!”
Where did Helen come in Strictly final?
Helen Skelton has bounced back from a tough year in her personal life and losing out in the Strictly Come Dancing final, by ‘winning’ the show’s live tour alongside Kai Widdrington. It was well documented before former Blue Peter star Helen signed up to do Strictly that she’d been put through the mill thanks to the breakdown of her marriage to rugby player Richie Myler and then having to watch him very publicly move on with another woman.
- Helen was the final star to be confirmed as a contestant for the BBC show last year and, in her first few weeks of ballroom life was plagued by a crippling lack of self confidence.
- Helen even had to be calked back into the rehearsal room by pro partner Gorka Marquez at one point, having fled through a fire exit.

Fellow pro Kai was called into replace Gorka and his partnership with Helen has been delighting packed audiences all around the UK over the last month. The result of each show on the tour is determined by an audience vote and, having won the most shows, Helen and Kai were declared tour champions as it wrapped up in Glasgow on Sunday evening. Strictly’s Helen Skelton and Kai Widdrington (Image: Instagram) Helen and Kai won 13 shows on the Strictly live tour; including all three in Newcastle; ahead of Will Mellor and Nancy Xu on 8 and Hamza and Jowita on 7. The only other couple to win at all were Fleur and Vito, triumphing in four shows in London.
- Helen made two posts about the Strictly tour on her Instagram, firstly sharing a video slideshow which she captioned ‘thanks for the memories’ and then uploading a cast photo, which next to, she wrote: “oh what fun we had.
